  1. Ask me a year ago, I would have said Nevermind. A few months ago, Led Zeppelin II. Though for the last 2 weeks, Pink Floyd's The Wall has been slowly consuming me. I've listened to it 14 times now, and I can't get enough of it. The songs are always stuck in my head. When I first listened to it, my skin shivers. And I still shed some tears whenever I listen to Comfortably Numb. I'm surprised so many sites only gave it around "B"/"C" and 7-8/10.
  2. Children of the Corn Only watch this movie expecting your average "B horror flick". Acting was pretty bad (although Linda was alright). The plot was kind of ridiculous, but not bad. There wasn't really anything in this movie that stood out as "good". If you're a fan of horror or Stephen King, it wouldn't hurt to watch. 5.5/10
  3. Watched a movie for each day of the weekend. Dracula (1931) A horror classic. The movie doesn't have any background music, which I feel really adds to the overall feel of the film. Bela Lugosi gives an outstanding performance as Count Dracula - you gotta love his voice. What makes the movie so great is the suspense. It doesn't rely on "shock value" which most horror films do today. For a movie starring a vampire, it's not violent at all. This is a movie you can recommend to children. I even preferred this to Nosferatu, which came as a shock to me. Easily Dracula is the greatest vampire/Dracula movie ever made. 8.5/10 Dracula (1992) Let me mention first, this isn't a remake of the 1931 classic. This is more-so based off the 1897 novel "Dracula". I watched this literally right after the 1931 film - they are entirely different films. The original was 75 minutes, and this version is 128minutes, over 50 minutes longer. Also unlike the original, this is NOT recommendable to children. There are many haunting images as well as a lot of sexual innuendo. Gary Oldman did a fairly good as Count Dracula, more than I was expecting. But it's Winona Ryder that really stands to me in this movie. Her performance in this movie is one reason why she's one of my favourite actresses. Dracula (1992) a fairly good movie. It does however drag on, and 2 hours is really unnecessary. 7/10 Pink Floyd's The Wall (1982) Whether you call it a movie or a 95minute music video, there's no denying this is something special that does justice to the album. Don't expect this to be like most films though. Watching "The Wall" is like walking from painting-to-painting in a museum and trying to make sense of them all. Some will, some won't. But even with the ones you don't understand, you can still appreciate them. 7.5/10
  4. I really hate the clothing style of emo/scene. To me it's just a toned down more pathetic version of goth. I usually don't like following clothing trends, and like sticking out. Though there's nowhere good to shop here, so most of my clothing is generic, which sucks. If I had the money, I'd buy some Samurai outfits online and wear that to school.
  5. Just saw So You Think You're Smarter Than A 5th Grader. It was sad. They're willing to give away up to $1million for primary/elementary school questions. 4/10 I really don't see this lasting.
  6. I don't really have anything against emo. One of my best friends is kinda emo, and she's alright. Though I would fit more into the "computer/video game geek" clique.
  7. Love the original. In my opinion it's the second best PS2 game ever released (Twisted Metal Black is the best). Though I never beat it. I may buy it sometime to beat it. I can get it for like $15-25 now. And I really hope to play GoW2.
  8. How did Wicker Man get away with no awards? Other than that, I'm not disagreeing with any of the choices. Also, do the Razzies have their own show, kind of like The Oscars do? If they do, does it air on television or anything or do you have to be in attendance to watch.
  9. Actors: 1: Johnny Depp 2: George Clooney 3: James Stewart, he looked pretty attractive in the 30's and 40's 4: 5: Actresses: 1: Jessica Alba 2: Grace Kelly 3: Kirsten Dunst 4: Elizabeth Hurley 5: Uma Thurman I may fill in the rest/edit later.
  10. Pink Floyd's The Wall Disc 1 1. In The Flesh? 2. The Thin Ice 3. Another Brick In The Wall, Part 1 4. The Happiest Days Of Our Lives 5. Another Brick In The Wall, Part 2 6. Mother 7. Goodbye Blue Sky 8. Empty Spaces 9. Young Lust 10. One Of My Turns 11: Don't Leave Me Now 12: Another Brick In The Wall, Part 3 13: Goodbye Cruel World Disc 2 1. Hey You 2. Is There Anybody Out There? 3. Nobody Home 4. Vera 5. Bring the Boys Back Home 6. Comfortably Numb 7. The Show Must Go On 8. In The Flesh 9. Run Like Hell 10. Waiting For The Worms 11: Stop 12: The Trial 13: Outside The Wall Amazing, superb, excellent, perfect. All words that describe this album. It was much better than I'd expect. For 2 Disc 80 minute album, I thought it'd be boring. I love every song in this, there are no weak points. I don't even have a favourite song. I see this more as one long song than 26 songs. 10/10 This easily ranks among my Top 3 albums, it may even be #1. (One of the best purchases I ever made, definitely worth the $25)
  11. Kairo (2001): 7/10 This is the J-horror film that Pulse was based off of. The video I watched it on wasn't great quality, and I missed like 20-30 minutes around the middle, so it never made perfect sense. But from what I did see, I did like it.
  12. Just leave it to die. Wii has so much potential, and DS is very strong at the moment. And kill the GBA as well, it's had an amazing run. Like 5/6 years, probably the best ever for a handheld.
  13. I'm not really surprised that PS2 has outlived Gamecube and X-Box. Always saw it coming I guess. In my opinion, PS2 won the "console wars" that generation. Though I highly doubt PS3 will win this generation. Wii seems like the best one to me.
  14. I can think of 2, each involving a SmackDown game. 1: It was Here Come The Pain. I was Triple H, versus Brock Lesnar. Game was on highest difficulty. It was a Last Man Standing match. HCTP's version of the match was incredible. The match went on for over 60 minutes, it was extremely intense. I finally came up with the victory though. 2: It was SVR05 or SVR06, I think 05 though. We were playing a 4-way Ladder match (I believe). I was CM Punk, my friend playing was someone else. The 2 CPU were AJ Styles and CM Punk. The timer at the corner of the screen went as follows: "99:58, "99:59", "99:99". It was one of the finer moments of my life.
  15. I need music for EWR, cause it's silent, just button clicking. Whenever I play a Smackdown game past HCTP, I need music on. To drown out the awful soundtrack and terrible commentary.
  16. If things go according to plan (and my computer is good enough), I'll be playing World of Warcraft by tomorrow. My friend who owns it gave me the 10 Day free trial. Currently Disc 4 is installing. I'm really curious, to see what all the excitement is about. EDIT: Apparently an error is occurring. Won't let me past the key activation phase. I got it in right, and they code is real and hasn't been used. It says try back later. Though my friend can get on now.
  17. Wait, so Brittany Spears shaves off all her hair, then several days later she wears a wig with a hairstlye almost identical to what it used to be. I feel sorry for her, I hope she gets better soon.
  18. Jackie Brown (1997) I wonder why this movie isn't at popular as Quentin's other films. This seems to be the one you hardly hear about, at least for me. Like other Tarantino films, the dialogue is amazing. The acting is excellent, the standout actors in my opinion were Samuel L. Jackson, Robert De Niro, and Pam Grier. There's hardly any violence at all, which came to a surprise to me. Most the violence is off-screen, and I believe blood is only seen once on-screen. I was a bit confused around halfway through, because I wasn't sure if the chronology was mixed around like his other films. The 3 scenes of the actual heist told from different views was brilliant, and was my favourite part of the movie. 9/10

    Fun Songs

Just remembered another fun song. I believe it's called Johnny B Good, not sure, and it may have been done by ...Chuck Barry? But I'm not positive. "Stuck in the Middle With You" is another good one.

"It's the end of the world as we know it" -REM "Blue" -Eiffel 65 2 fun songs that come to mind.
  22. Wow...I so wanna watch that movie now, Zan if it's anywhere near as bad as you say it is.
  23. Don't remember, but while watching the Top 100 Videos special, I think they mentioned it was only last 10 years or something like that. And if so, Teen Spirit should have won anyway. That list was was very depressing. As for the Rock list: -"Feeling This" is blink's worst single and video. "What's My Age Again", "All The Small Things", "Always", "Damnit", "Adam's Song", "Rock Show", and "Stay Together For The Kids" are all so much better -"Living Dead Girl" is pretty good, I like the Dr.Caligari omage, but come on, "Dragula" just kicks ass, and should have been on the list. -Korn are just bad. Very, very bad. Abysmal even. Odd since I like Stone Sour. -I like the additions of "Fat Lip" and "Beautiful People". -"Jesus of Suburbia"? Any GreenDay video from 1994-2000 deserves to be on the list more than JoS.
  24. Alfred Hitchcock's Blackmail (1929) Better than what I was expecting. The first 7/8 minutes start off silent, but then it goes into full audio, and is Hitchcock's first dialogue film. The plot is very simple, the film should almost be boring. But Hitchcock had a way of making the the most simpilistic plotlines into engaging films. The acting is pretty good, Anny Andra was superb in my opinion. 8/10
