  1. Fuck me! 3-2! Smicer. That was shite from Dida.
  2. That would be the aforementioned Kaka. EDIT~ LMAO! Traore is wank. EDIT2 ~ Awesome header from Gerrard, 3-1.
  3. I wish i'd have put a bet on now. I said to my friend earlier 4-0 Milan and Maldini will score. I can't help but laugh, this game is so one sided. And Kaka is awesome.
  4. 3-0 milan this is getting embarassing
  5. The way I looked at it. Yoda can't afford to die, he surely knows that he is going to have to help rebuild the Jedi's. So dying wouldn't really be a good idea. Obi Wan allowing Anakin to live i'm not sure about, either he isn't supposed to have the heart to kill him (which is stupid since he had the heart to fight against him) or he just assumes he is dead from the flames. Either way, that one doesn't make too much sense. EDIT ~ I also gotta say. Having seen it today, Hayden Christensen made the movie for me. I thought he was excellent. Ok, he wasn't great in the previous two but I think he got a lot more stick than was necessary, the film overall had a far better script this time around. I loved the way he played Anakin, especially in the scenes with Ian McDiarmid. He definately played the bad ass far better than he did the good guy. And since everyone else is doing it, I rate the films.... 1.) Revenge of the Sith 2.) The Empire Strikes Back 3.) A New Hope 4.) Return of the Jedi 5.) Attack of the Clones 6.) The Phantom Menace
  6. You're absolutely right. He probably doesn't care about the fans, or other teams or whatever and his sole purpose for buying the club is to make money. Point is, he IS a businessman. Therefore he isn't knowingly going to do anything that would lose him money. So he HAS to look after the team because if he doesn't he is the one that ultimately loses. Let's be fair, the guy isn't an idiot. As far as rising ticket prices etc go, they more than likely will be put up. I'm not saying I agree with this but I believe that our prices are currently below a lot of top clubs, specifically Chelsea and Arsenal. I could be wrong on that, i'm not 100% sure. The fans can say they wont pay it all they want. It wont do any good. There are so many Utd fans that there is always going to be someone who will pay it. It doesn't make it right but it's only good business sense to raise prices when you know people will still pay them.
  7. I wish people would stop making such a huge deal over this. Utd fans are just making themselves look bad by continually griping about how Glazer's going to destroy the club. OF COURSE the club is for sale, it was for sale the moment it became a PLC as was mentioned earlier. To be honest, I am not behind this deal at all but I'm willing to give the guy a chance. Yes, we're going to be in debt but let's remember that Glazer is a businessman, he has to have some kind of plan to turn a profit. Whether it works or not is another thing. All i'm saying is no one can possibly know how this will turn out, Glazer hasn't even revealed his plans yet. Some Utd fans have made themselves look pathetic this week, firstly when they booed Chelsea while they were coming out and then left in their thousands before the end. Now with all the protesting we're just going to look worse as a club. I just hope the minority don't ruin the FA Cup final next week. I, for one, am hugely looking forward to it and I hope it'll be as entertaining as Utd-Arsenal games usually are. Thing is, if we go out next season and win the league or champions league everyone will be hailing Glazer as some kind of hero. And I can guarentee that many of the supporters who may end up changing their tune will be the same part-time fans who left the ground last week. Get over it already and let's see where it goes.
  8. Ferguson really has gone too far with this 4-5-1. Please for god sake admit you're wrong Fergie and go back to 4-4-2 already. I feel sorry for Alan Smith, when the team's playing like that and you can't even get a game you know things are bad.
  9. I think they will. I hope they do anyway if just for Bryan Robson...oh, and Kieran Richardson, who we're having back by the way .
  10. It's not the players Ferguson picked that's the problem. It's this god awful 5 across the middle crap that he's playing. Here's a clue Fergie, Alan Smith is a striker... he was by far our best player at the start of the season when he played up there. So how abut actually playing him up front as part of a 2? Maybe then we'll actually look like we have a fucking clue when we get in and around the opposing penalty box. Funny how when we were winning everything in sight we played a straight 4-4-2... hell, the team in general wasn't even as talented as what we have now. We need to go back to that style of playing, 4-4-2, high tempo. We used to tear teams apart on the counterattack, now we dont seem to get the ball forwards at any sort of pace. Also, Rooney was absolutely awful today.. I was counting second half and he gave the ball away a consecutive 8 or 9 times.

    The Contender

Bah, everyone knows Ahmed was the fucking man. Actually no, but I did want the guy to beat Ishe. Seriously, what a twat. The show is awesome, i've been watching it from the start and i've loved all of it. It annoys me that they brought Peter back though. I mean, Alfonso bust his ass to beat him and now he's back? They should've just stuck someone new in. If Peter goes on to win this thing then Alfonso's win, which was an upset, wont really count for much. For those of you who were talking about the whole matches not being shown, from what I gather the final will be shown in full and will be as a proper fight night. It's gonna have an undercard made up of some of the other contestants.
  12. Not posted about my game in a while... Still playing game i started the day I got FM. Just started my seventh season with Man Utd and it's still awesome. First 4 seasons I won... 4 League Titles 2 Champions League Titles 1 FA Cup 2 Super Cups 2 World Club Championships In my fifth season not only did I lose the premiership title to Chelsea, but I didn't win anything. Finished second in the league and was knocked out of all cups in the quarters/semis stages. The sixth season was awesome though, my team did the quadruple which marks the first time ever, on any CM, that i've won the League Cup so i was quite proud. Was England manager for the 2008 Euro championships, did horrifically. We went out in the first round (after beating Holland 2-1 in the opener no less). Start of my seventh season now, have just won the Super Cup against Athletico Madrid and am second in the league behind Villa (P6 W4 D2). Champs League groups just drawn too, and I get Milan, Barca and Steau...fantastic. I've also just become Holland manager, I picked them over Brazil, Czech Republic and Portugal only to find out they don't really have much of a team. Still, first game in charge... 4-2 win over Poland at home after being 2-0 down. Van Persie = AWESOME Anyway, I'm actually posting for assistance. I have way too many players and they're getting unhappy but I dunno who to offload. I play a 4-1-3-2 formation and I've just got rid of Kim Kallstrom and Alexandr Kerzhakov but i've still got too many. HELP. My squad (and their ages) Goalkeepers Bastian Pauly - 23/24 - Martin Stekelenberg - 27 - Defenders Glen Johnson (RB) - 25 - Gabriel Heinze (LB) - 32 - Vincent Kompany (CB) - 24 - Steven Taylor (CB) - 23 - Jonathan Spector (RB/CB) - 23 - Mark Gonzalez (LB/LM) - 26 - Pique (CB) - 23 - Midfielders Cristiano Ronaldo (AMRLC) - 25 - Rafael Van der Vaart (AMLC) - 27 - Francesc Fabregas (MC) - 23 - Darren Fletcher (AMRC) - 26 - Matia Berschadsky - 20 - Freddy Adu (AM/FLC) - 22 - Danielle De Rossi (DMLC) - 27/28 - Anthony Vanden Borre (DMRC) - 25 - Stewart Downing (AML) - 25 - Paul Thorpe (MC) - 18 - Stuart Oliver (MC) - 18 - Nicky Kuiper (ML) - 21 - Forwards Wayne Rooney (FC) - 25 - Alan Smith (FRC - 29 - Robinho (SC) - 25 - Valeri Bojinov (SC) - 24 - Jefferson Farfan (FLC) - 26 - Alessio Cerci (FRLC) - 24 - Ryan Babel (SC) - 23/24 - Ruud van Nistelrooy (SC) - 33 -
  13. i just applied as "Short Changed" EDIT ~ Do any of you guys use pictures for your band members? If so, what sort of pictures do you use? EDIT2 ~ n00b question i know but, you have to practice to write songs right? So... if you schedule a tour without any songs written what happens?
  14. Irrelevant of time, platform, advancements in technology and stuff, Dan is 100% right......FF7 is still great, and well worth picking up if you can. ← Or if you want a great game rather than a good one you could go for FF8 . Although, I s'pose 7 is better if you're new to rpgs. Baldurs Gate is certainly an excellent choice also.
  15. I would guess it's fine. I mean, it's only a fan game and they're not making money from using the final fantasy name so I don't see a problem.
  16. I hate chelsea. But Mourinho is awesome, the guy speaks his mind which is something managers don't do enough. I liked Gordon Strachan for the exact same reason.
  17. You speak the truth my good man. 7 was a good game but 8 was outstanding, easily my favourite rpg of all time (closely followed by FFX and Deus Ex). I loved the story in 8, the whole garden thing was excellent. I actually didn't mind FFX-2 to be honest, it was something different at least and I found the story quite interesting on the second playthrough. (I missed alot on the first and only really concentrated on the stuff which continued from FFX.) EDIT ~ Since i'm here and this isn't really worthy of a new topic. Unlimited Saga, anyone played it? And if so, did you enjoy it? I bought it about 6 months ago but haven't played it properly till now, finding it a bit hard to understand some parts of the levelling system but i'm getting into it.
  18. having just seen the Bremen highlights I gotta ask... didn't Klose used to be good?
  19. Glad some people managed to pick up on the crapness that was the ronaldo substitution, they haven't even mentioned it on tv. That's exactly why i blame ferguson for the defeat. Fortune and Ronaldo were our two best players... they both got took off. Giggs and Scholes were awful... they both got 90 minutes. Something's wrong there somewhere.
  20. There's one person to blame for that defeat and one only. Funnily enough not Roy Carroll. I put the blame on Fergie, when he brought Ruud on we were the better side, yet he takes the best player on the pitch off in Ronaldo. Not only that but when we go a goal down, he takes Fortune off, another who was playing well, leaving scholes and giggs (who were poor) on. Then, to top it all off he brings silvestre on for Neville. A defender....for a defender! At 1-0 down! Basically though, taking Ronaldo off killed us. Having said that, it was a good game and Milan played well. At least there's still hope for the second leg.
  21. Well i've never played Winning Eleven but I've got Pro Evo 4 and thats the same game really. But yeah, it is outstanding. I don't hate Fifa like alot of people but Pro Evo is twice as good in terms of gameplay. Alright it doesn't have the presentation of Fifa but still, in my opinion, the graphics on the pitch are actually more realistic. The only issue with Pro Evo is the lack of licensing (which IS getting better) but that's easy to get around as everything is completely editable.
  22. Over the last couple of days... Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (PS2) - 9/10 - Second play through and i'm still loving it. Agree about it being a bit short though. Unlimited Saga (PS2) - 8/10 - Bought it about 4 months ago and only really got into it the last few days. The battles and storyline are brilliantly done and although people complain about the way chracter interaction is handled (you see a 2d screen with your characters and hear their speech) i doesn't bother me too much. However it would've been a 9 if it had been more traditional in this department. Final Fantasy 8 (PS1) - 10/10 - Easily the greatest rpg of all time. The animation, gameplay and graphics etc are brilliant but the story is what makes it stand out. The whole garden idea is really well implemented and even the love story aspect, while I personally don't go for it, makes sense and is clearly well thought out. Final Fantasy X (PS2) - 9.5/10 - Only played it for about 20 mins but still figured i'd write a bit on it. The only reason this doesn't get a ten is because it's not quite as good as FF8 but easily the best (non-sports) PS2 game I own. XIII (PS2) - 8.5/10 - I absolutely LOVE this game. The "cartoon" format makes this game pretty funny, and it is also an above average SPS. Basically, I would urge anyone to try all of these games.
  23. I enjoyed the ending also, obviously it leaves things open for HL3 but I don't see why it should have some grand ending. There isn't a great deal of 'story' to the game anyway, there's enough to keep it interesting but nothing ground breaking. Anyway, can you recommend any good mods? I fancy playing a few before I take another crack at the game on hard.
  24. Anyone else notice how much Arsenal gave the ball away in their own half? I very rarely see them do that and I gotta say, Cygan is awful.
  25. Yup they did. Although very briefly. ← It's nice to see a bit of civil behaviour though, thank god they didn't start some kind of brawl - as Silvestre is going to get a lengthy ban and the tunnel fracas will be investigated. ← Silvestre is a pillock. End of. I haven't got a clue why (at 3-2 up remember) he didn't just laugh in Ljungberg's face. He could've cost us the game and deserves a club fine at the very least. I think the tunnel stuff will be all overblown. It would be best for it to just be put down to high emotions and left alone.
