The first King of Colosseum game was split - the red version was NJPW, AJPW and Pancrase. The green version was NOAH and Zero-One. Both had different indie promotions and free agents too, I believe. You could combine save files to have all access to all of them without having to swap out discs to play as Misawa or Chono or whoever. That’s a pretty cool feature, I thought. KoC 2 had all the previously mentioned promotions on one disc. —— Seperate question, but does ANYONE here still play Destiny 1? Or jumped in since it went on sale recently for the first time in like 4 years? I’m playing it now, and the online is still surprisingly active. But it’s hard to find people for certain modes, like SIVA strikes or various raids. But PvP multiplayer or just legacy strikes? I can find matches and players all day long. Weird.

Per Uno on that stream: Kingston had a screenshot of an older build of the game without textures that was sent to him by Uno. He shared it last weekend on IG because he saw everyone else doing it. So they didn’t fix anything about the model, it’s just that Eddie shared a screenshot from awhile ago that didn’t have textures. But it’s good that they got out there and set the record straight on his character. Also they’re likely announcing the collector’s edition tomorrow.

Yeah, probably. My buddy from work ended up gifting it to me on Steam for Christmas, but hoooooly shit it's very poorly optimized. Well, for SteamDeck anyway, maybe it's fine on a regular PC or something. Massive framerate issues, bad picture quality, etc. Will definitely jump on it when it's made available for PS Plus, for sure.

It's infuriating, I hate it. -- The following thought is pretty much only for Americans, since it's about CNN: With Chris Licht being in charge of CNN, I really shouldn't be surprised that the Overtime segment of Real Time with Bill Maher is now on that channel. Also just the shifting from centrist programming to dipping their tippy toes into right leaning stuff, but whatever. Maher fits in pretty perfectly in their new edict for programming, alongside people like Michael Smerconish who has really amped it up since last year. Man, I remember when I really liked Bill Maher's show YEARS ago, and thought he was this firebrand. In a lot of ways, Dave Chappelle kind of stole Maher's schtick when it comes to the anti-wokeness and rallying against the transgender community and far left American politics.

This is rumors, so grain of salt I guess, but supposedly the idea is that it's an adaptation of Mayor Fisk, Devil's Reign & Born Again. I wouldn't expect it to be too focused on Matt's lawyer life, since the stories of those two events are so big. It'll be in there obviously, because you can't do a Daredevil show without it really, but it's probably way more Daredevil focused than Matt Murdock. Maybe Woll & Henson are only cameos, and don't appear on the "regular cast" list or something. Obviously if they're adapting Born Again, we're not going to see Karen being a heroin addicted pornstar, but we're also not going to see stuff like the Thunderbolts working for Mayor Kingpin or Elektra become Daredevil or Matt having an identical twin. Echo/Born Again spoilers possibly maybe: Another rumor is that instead of airing all 18 episodes without interruption, they'll divide the show into six episode mini seasons, with another Marvel show airing in between (or the way things have been going, something other than Marvel). So the first six episodes, then something else, another six episodes, something else, then the final six episodes.

However - Deborah Ann Woll & Elden Henson aren’t coming back. Don’t know if Karen & Foggy are being recast, or just won’t be in the show at all, but those two actors aren’t in the MCU show.

I'm really fine with them removing most of the action that the games had. It's a reverse Walking Dead situation, in that when Joel & Ellie encounter anything or anyone, be it clickers, infected, humans, whatever, it actually FEELS like a potential threat because we haven't spent 8 episodes seeing them absolutely mow down anyone they come into contact with. This show works a whole lot more as a drama instead of an action show first, drama second type thing. As for Joel in the TV series being more vulnerable... eh, the end destination is still the same, regardless. And we're better for it, because Season 2 is going to be amazing if they can keep this kind of quality up and only change minor things. But they're approaching an average of 30mil viewers across the season thus far, making it more watched than S7 of GoT and House of the Dragon, and it'll probably skyrocket for the finale, so I'm kind of worried that the success is going to go to someone's head sooner or later and they're going to question the narrative of the games from here on because, y'know, cash cow. I hope not, though. Part 2 deserves to be told, in full, the way it was written originally (maybe with minor things changed, but largely untouched IE major plot points). Along the same lines - I'm not upset that they didn't do the video game's version of Joel & Ellie in the burning building, but I think it would have been better than what we got. Either way though, we got what we needed I guess.

So it's looking like... Episode 7: Left Behind + American Dreams story Episode 8: Winter story - Ellie meets David and his group Episode 9: Spring story - Well, you know.. (this one is interesting because as far as I can tell, none of the trailers before the season started showed any footage that could have potentially been from this section) I know it's years away but man, I can't wait for Part 2 to be adapted. I said it in one of the video game threads, but it's a beautiful and sad story and I have absolute faith in Craig Mazin & Druckmann to do it justice.

I'm a sucker for when video games have gameplay with actual songs, so stuff like the Mausoleum battle in Halo 2 with Breaking Benjamin and riding into Mexico for the first time in Red Dead Redemption with a Jose Gonzales song playing. My #1 is probably playing the Last Of Us Part II for the first time, though. I already knew about the big death that happens, and didn't care because I don't like that character anyway tbh, but the entire journey was just... I don't know. Beautiful? Sad? It stirred up a lot of emotions in me. I'd have to really sit down and think about if I've ever played a more cinematic game before this. Just feels like the perfect game in a lot of ways, from start to finish. Of course, it probably helped that a few months prior to this game coming out, I only had an Xbox and really only used it for wrestling games and as a way to watch Netflix. Buying a PS4 in 2019 was my pathway back into gaming after a long time, and TLOU2 (and the first Horizon and God of War) all touched me in different ways and made me love gaming again like I did when I was in high school.

I binged 4 seasons of Yellowstone in 2 weeks. It's so good. I didn't think I'd like it, kind of scoffed at the premise, but it's not nearly as conservative as I thought it'd be. Like, yeah, I also don't want these big companies coming into states and tearing up the natural scenery and endangering wildlife. I don't know that my immediate reaction - on either side of the coin - would be to have huge shoot outs and hanging people, but it's TV and it's good entertainment. So, anyone that has watched: are the spin offs worth it? I don't think I care about seeing the Duttons in the 1800s and early 1900s, but the cast for both shows look pretty damn good. Does they still have the Game of Thrones/Succession style drama or am I about to walk into a completely different type of show from Yellowstone? I don't even know if I want to start Season 5 since it's not over yet. Watching The Last of Us week to week is already a bummer because I'm so used to binge watching.

Thunderbolts potential spoilers (maybe, lolreddit). If true, it'll directly impact Wakanda and their most precious natural resource. I'd love if that's true because it brings in a lot of different components from other movies and sets up some interesting stuff a few phases from now (probably after Secret Wars).

Some massive improvements are gonna be needed for Universe if they want me to drop $70 on this. And even then, I might wait a few months. Hopefully by the summer Fight Forever will be out, since I really only buy WWE games now to sim AEW stuff. Or a ECW or WCW universe mode. I rarely care about the current roster beyond maybe the first week or so. I don't mind MyFaction like most people, but man do I miss the towers mode from... 2K19, I think? That was fun. They have it in MyFaction but it's just annoying, like a lot of tag matches or multi-man matches. And the AI breaks shit up way too much.
