  1. 1. Keira Knightley Just... awesome 2. Louise Nurding Fancied her since I was, well, old enough to know the difference between boys and girls, basically I wish I knew how to do spoiler tags - I could get better, bigger photos... 3. Anne Hathaway Not just because of that perfume ad she's in at the moment, but she looks amazing in it 4. Rebecca Cartwright After Louise, my longest running celeb crush 5. Nicola Roberts Not even I will try and claim she's going to appeal to everyone - but I've always had a thing for redheads 6. Hayden Panettiere Pinching Syrjis' pic because it's the one I would have used, so... 7. Julianne Moore The one MILF on my list 8. Summer Glau I'd feel happier about her being on the list if she didn't look so much like a kid wearing her older sister's makeup - but she's actually about the same age as me, so... (Thanks for the pic, TMM) 9. Jewel Staite Best first Google Images result ever 10. Zooey Deschanel EWB has won me over Honourable mentions to Kelly Brook (especially), Kirsten Dunst, Jessica Biel, Isla Fisher and Scarlett Johannson - among so many others...
  2. One word: Titanic Otherwise, I'll agree with Daredevil. And on the subject of impossible - but why the hell not: Buttercup's Baby. Anyone?
  3. Slymyr Lake in Terrokar Forest is another good place for farming - you can make 100G+ per hour off the Motes of Water, greens and vendor trash that drops if you don't need to spend too much time healing/recharging. Otherwise, if you can make Heavy Netherweave Bandages snap up any Netherweave in the AH that's going for <15s per piece (I tend to buy at 20 for 2G40s) as you can then sell 20 HNBs for 6G a stack to vendors. And as previously noted, the moths you can get from the vendor in the Exodar and the cats you can buy from the vendor just outside Stormwind always sell well - for example, I bought fifteen moths yesterday for around 5G and made a profit of about 60G once they all sold. People always want pets *shrug* On that note, Stormwind has the cart lady, Exodar has the moth seller, Darnassus has the owl vendor... Is there a pet seller in Ironforge? Put it all together and I was able to buy my epic flying mount last week. Only a few days before Wrath, so I won't be able to use it for long, but in the absence of any decent warrior gear available to buy, well, why not?
  4. That's how I got mine, too I want the mount, though, and that helm would be nice - got all the rings, which are my first purples and I don't especially care about the sword but I've seen two folks with the mount. Is it 60% or 280% flight speed? If the latter, I can spend my money on something else instead
  5. So, I missed the original Fable, but from what I've been reading I suspect I'd quite like this game. Just a quick q, though - is the fighting action-based, or is it non-interactive?
  6. Well, as someone who levelled lighting up as soon as I could, and who really loathed trying to do grip/toss the first thing I thought of when it came to the TIEs was to use lightning. And is it really that hard? Hide behind the raised wall area on whichever side, jump up, and start pumping out lightning straight ahead just before the TIEs fly past. As you hang in the air while you're doing it, you should get three or four on the first pass, and the rest is just a matter of timing. Of all the problems I had with that level (including having to restart when the Imperial ship wouldn't open mid-way through) that wasn't an especially problematic one. I guess everyone finds different things difficult. I got stupidly stuck on the Death Star level when I couldn't work out that what I thought was a lift was actually just a cupboard *shrug*
  7. Where is the moth seller? I went looking for him, but he wasn't where I remembered.
  8. A lot of people seem to have trouble with the camera and focus, but having gone through the whole game my only problem was the woeful lack of explanation about how to crash that Star Destroyer. Having to resort to a guide for that and finding that the trick to it is nothing like what it tells you in game was, well, rubbish. Still, you get to crash a Star Destroyer. With the Force. At no point does that concept stop being awesome.
  9. I'm just plugging away selling any motes I find. Two-thirds of the way to epic flight goodness. I'm a bit annoyed that I seem to have to keep my mounts on my action bar, though - I didn't mind having them in my bags, where they only took up 2/80 spaces, as oppoed to 2/20 or so on the action bar... Shame I can't move them back.
  10. Updated my laptop with the new patch yesterday, and now I'm updating my desktop (only three patches since it last went on in May or thereabouts - shame one of them is 2GB). Anyone else play as a Warrior? I've been Arms specced all the way, but have switched to Fury to use Titan's Grip. It's not as much fun as I was expecting - Fury seems to involve a lot of buffs and no attacks anywhere near as satisfying as Mortal Strike. It's like playing as a Paladin. Am I missing something?
  11. Off tomorrow to see if I can get my trusty old desktop restored to life (and maybe upgraded some) in order to get ready for Wrath. Otherwise it'll wait until I cave in and accept sucky fps/buy a new laptop. The latter may come sooner than I care to admit...
  12. Actually, yes, this sounds a lot like me. Clearly I need to get Crackdown off my shelf and play it some more - and with regard to the realsitc physics thing, I know it has its ludicrous moments, but when it was being realistic I felt it took a lot of fund out of the game. Still... *heads off to play Crackdown*
  13. I'm glad to get the chance to play as them - their previous absence from games has been depressing. Mind you, based on previous years you won't be able to beat anyone playing as them - I still remember a 3v1 handicap match, cruisers vs. Big Show that never ended on one SvR because none of the cruisers could hit a finisher that would put him down. Actually, that may be the last SvR match I ever played...
  14. N64: Battle for Naboo: I was hoping for more brilliance like the original Rogue Squadron. It was nothing like as good. Not bad, but compared to my then favourite game of all time it just didn't measure up. N64: The World Is Not Enough: It was Bond, it was N64... It wasn't GoldenEye 2. Remains to this day the only game I've bought and taken back within 24 hours. N64: South Park: South Park meets GoldeneEye... No. It really wasn't. I believe I got about ten minutes enjoyment out of this game, in a multi-player blast with some friends. Given I bought the game and the N64 expansion pack when that was a week's wages for me... I later traded the game for Rogue Squadron. The expansion pack I kept to play Perfect Dark. Speaking of... XBox 360: Perfect Dark Zero: This one was a no-brainer. The sequel to one of my favourite games of all-time, some of the programming of which was done by one of my best friends, who was even more into the original (and GoldenEye) than I was... Apparently he didn't do any of the important bits. I think I played it twice before I put it away, and have never felt any desire to load it back up again. XBox 360: CrackDown: I should love this game. I really should. And maybe I haven't given it enough of a chance. But almost a year after buying it, I don't think I've played more than three hours. I think my issue with modern action games is that they're so obsessed with getting it to look great and have realistic physics that they're just not fun. Maybe I just need to man up and hit more bad guys with cars but really, if you're going to make a GTA clone, work out what it was about GTA that made it so good.
  15. I shouldn't think Rey in particular would be able to carry around Santino on his shoulders like Beth did a couple of weeks back. However, it wouldn't do to make her look stronger than the men, obviously
  16. Presumably so she's not stronger than people like Mysterio (68 to 70) or Kofi (68 to 73). She does seem to be massively stronger than all the other Divas, although Mickie, for some reason, isn't too far behind.
  17. Damn. That's a hell of a shame. But he lived to 83, had a pretty amazing life, made salad dressing... Pointless titbit: He was never credited as 'and Paul Newman as...' in any film. I don't know why I remember that, but I do...
  18. No Burchill either :/ But if it's decent, then maybe (maybe) I might consider getting it... Especially with London and Kendrick on the roster.
  19. Anyone remember Gordon Burns playing light gun Tetris on Gamesmaster? Needed 10 lines to win, got to 9, and finished on a 4 to show off. The man's a legend - and KF is simply the best game show we've ever had. Watching people crash the flight simulator was always funny, too.
  20. Awesome. Been wanting to watch B&J for a while now, so I think I'll have to get a copy.
  21. Guess I'll just do them for the cash, then - still want my 280% flying mount.
  22. Having effectively dropped WoW once I hit 70 about... three months back, my account's really only been used by my wife. I'm now thinking of heading off and doing twenty or so quests and not handing them in so that when I do install Wrath I can just level up to 71 or so in a few minutes. Cheap, maybe, but... Saying that, though, does anyone know what system specs Wrath will need? If they're signficiantly higher than BC, I won't be able to run it on my PoS laptop - I can only just about run WoW with all the settings on low. I miss my late, lamented desktop - especially when I start lagging while doing quests
  23. Spoilers spoilers spoilers... Avoiding them all, although I know the gist of how the game ends, of course. I'm two levels off the end, and am savouring the experience - probably crack on to finish it tomorrow. Have pretty much doubled my previously piss-poor Gamerscore with this game - it's now just merely Godawful. Can anyone tell me a little about the different lightsabre crystals? So far all I have is the blue and yellow colour ones, and the Ilum power one that boosts blaster deflection. Was anyone else thrown when the AT-ST didn't show up like it does during the demo?
  24. I PoD the first Bane book? I really enjoyed that - thought it established Bane's character well, showed him as having vulnerabilities (ie not all powerful, rather than necessarily emotionally vulnerable) built the secondary characters well, and the action scenes were really well done. One of the better all-round SW books. I'm looking forward to reading the sequel.
  25. On a related note, there was a sci-fi game similar to Knightmare (although more like the Crystal Maze, I guess) on BBC in the mid-80s. It was set in space, and the contestants may have been trying to escape from a malfunctioning space station by winning the pieces they needed to get free, or something like that. Does anyone remember it? Edit: Nevermind - it was The Adventure Game, it seems. I don't remember the celebrities at all, but as I was only 5 or so when it was on, that's not too suprising. And who calls their show The Adventure Game, anyway? How generic...
