LOL. Too bad Shane Douglas wasn't trying to break into the limo to find out who the guy was like at Victory Road.

I have to say that your interviews are still a little subpar. You did a great job with guys like AMW and Mike Tenay but Kevin Nash really stood out to me as being bad. He has had more then enough mic time over the years to get a grasp on his attitude in promos and styles he likes to use. He came off as an old time veteran who had nothing by clieches to offer. That's not Kevin Nash.

However, this show was much better then last weeks and the matches were more exciting. I like the fact that you did the sit down interview (even if Nash wasn't Nash) as it a ccomplished a lot and built towards Turning Point well. Now for my predictions...

Thanks for your points again Miami Vice, I have been known for my subpar presentation of wrestlers on the mic but I am always trying to improve - even when I do get it drastically wrong. Also to all the other guys apart from you (who seemed to be the only one to get the prediction contest 100% correct) you might want to edit in your match orders or else you will drop a lot of easily maintained points.

I am writing Turning Point as we speak but it is going to take a while, I want it to be perfect and not to mention it will have fully written out matches.

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling:

Turning Point 2004 Special Preview!

This Sunday sees TNA’s second monthly PPV go out live across the nation from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. It will bring together the top superstars from the promotion in matches which will be physically and mentally demanding. This is true wrestling and true entertainment of the highest order…

Now for a special in-depth look at the biggest match of it all from Turning Point. 10 men, 2 teams, 1 championship. The 5 on 5 Elimination Tag Match for the NWA Title…

NWA Heavyweight Championship – 5 on 5 Elimination Tag Team Match

Jeff Jarrett ©, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Abyss and Monty Brown

vs. Jeff Hardy, Randy Savage, DDP and the 3 Live Kru

The epic main event at Turning Point will see 10 men face off for the top prize of the NWA Heavyweight Title. It will be Jeff Jarrett’s team against Jeff Hardy’s team in a battle which will prove who the best really is. Survival is the only way to guarantee yourself a shot at the gold, and if you can’t do that then you won’t win. It is that simple. But heading into this Sunday all the men have a lot of different singular issues to consider, so let’s look at the background for each wrestler in this match…

NWA Heavyweight Champion: Jeff Jarrett – Has been the Heavyweight Champion for many months and so far has seemingly been in a comfortable position with his gold around his waist. However now he has not just five men gunning for his title, but six – if not more! He has to trust his fellow team members because they could make him…or break him in this match. But by trusting his team members is he vulnerable to surprise attacks?

Kevin Nash and Scott Hall: Both men have stuck with Jarrett since they joined together to screw Jeff Hardy out of the title at Victory Road. Nash and Hall have said on numerous occasions that they are only in this to see Jeff (Jarrett) through to the other side as champion. But these men are “poison” of the highest meaning of the word, these men are not normally trustworthy adversaries…will Jarrett’s trust be his downfall, or will they be true to their word?

Abyss: Was the “loosest of all cannons” a few weeks ago when he seemed to not be aligned with either Jarrett or Hardy…However since then the monster Abyss has surprised everyone and given in to Jarrett’s leadership. He is seemingly aligned with his selected team and even agreed to being locked inside a cage to increase his aggression for this Sunday! But, Abyss is volatile, Abyss is unpredictable, and he can turn from one moment to the next. Who honestly knows what this monster is capable of? Or what he will do this Sunday!

“The Alpha Male” Monty Brown: We are all very aware of how Monty Brown despite being on Jarrett’s team is not sided with the champ. He is in this match to walk away as champion – despite the odds being pilled against him. Can he prove to upset everyone? Can he defeat effectively nine guys to become champion? I know that this is one underdog I would put money on…and he would be the first to tell you that!

Jeff Hardy: Hardy was screwed out of the NWA Title at Victory Road, he had it won until Kevin Nash arrived with guitar in hand and turned out to be aligned with Hall and Jarrett. Since then the “Charismatic Enigma” has wanted and deserved his title rematch…he will have a chance this Sunday to finally defeat Jarrett and get the gold, and this time he seemingly doesn’t have to deal with outside matters to get to it…

“The Macho Man” Randy Savage: Has kept low during this unfolding situation around the NWA Title, Savage has not entirely revealed his cards to anyone. This makes him possibly one of the most intriguing characters in the match. Is his hunger for title gold still there?

Diamond Dallas Page: Apart from defiantly being aligned with Team Hardy DDP has the biggest amount of mystery surrounding him. The team which he joined this week stated before he arrived how they all didn’t mind who won the gold…as long as Jarrett didn’t leave with it. Will DDP agree with that philosophy? Or will his first big match for years cause him to go after the gold over everyone else?

3 Live Kru (BG James and Ron Killings): Not to be cruel but by looks the two least likely to trouble Jarrett’s title in the 5 on 5 match. But alike the Alpha Male these two men are very capable of causing an upset, and that’s not to mention how Ron Killings is a two time former champion! Have these men been completely overlooked so far? Will they break out at Turning Point and blossom into championship challengers?

There are defiantly many interesting factors to take into consideration for this Sunday and it will possibly be the most intriguing and future molding match in TNA history…remember to tune in this Sunday, Live on Pay-Per-View!

The last Impact was nothing more than a shill show for Turning Point really and thats fair enough, the only surprise was the mystery entrant because I never saw DDP coming! Hopefully Turning Point will deliver on its hype...

(7) NWA Heavyweight Championship – 5 on 5 Tag Team Elimination Match

Jeff Jarrett ©, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Abyss and Monty Brown

vs. Jeff Hardy, Randy Savage, Diamond Dallas Page, BG James and Ron Killings

Somehow Jarrett is going to come away with his gold intact, part of me is thinking through a heel turn but part of me is thinking through good dold fashioned cheating - either way Jarrett will still be champ.

(6) Rowdy Roddy Piper vs. Kid Kash w/Dallas

Piper I feel should win maybe through botched interference from Dallas however Roddy ends up the worse off after a 2-on-1 beating.

(5) The Mystery Man Reveals Himself!

Raven meets the man who promises him his destiny…

(4) Six Sides of Steel – Tag Team Steel Cage Match

America’s Most Wanted vs. Triple X

It's the beginning of the end for AMW as XXX defeat them sending the duo into a spiral before finally splitting.

(3) Tag Team Flag Match – If Team Canada Lose They Are Fired!

Team Canada vs. The American Patriots

A bad night for Team Canada as the rookies upset them to leave them unemployed.

(2) NWA Tag Team Championship

New York Connection © vs. Johnny B. Badd and Pat Kenney

I'm just hoping you don't drop the Titles to Badd & Kenney because they are not Title material, whereas the NYC are...just.

(1) TNA X-Division Championship – Fatal 4 Way International Challenge

Petey Williams © (CAN) vs. Mr. Aguila (MEX) vs. OK Revolution (JPN) vs. Chris Sabin (USA)

Team Canada's night doesn't start all that well either as Williams drops the Title to Sabin, leaving him in line for unemployment too as he's no longer Champ.

Show Questions:

Who will be the survivor(s) on the winning team in the main event?

Jarrett & Brown

What will be the elimination order in the main event? (1 point for each correct)

1. BG James

2. Killings

3. Hall

4. Hardy

5. Savage

6. Nash

7. Abyss

8. DDP

What will be the worst match – rated due to overall match rating in %?

Team Canada v American Patriots

What will be the best match – rated due to overall match rating in %?

AMW v XXX

Will Turning Point see anyone debut?

Yes - The Mystery Man

Will anyone turn at Turning Point?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Hardy to cost DDP after Jeff is eliminated

Will Turning Point be the last time Team Canada (Roode and Young) are seen in TNA?

No they will somehow get back into TNA in time

Who will be revealed as the mystery man stalking Raven?

Pogo The Clown

What will the overall PPV be rated – as a %?

75%

What will the buyrate be for the show?

Well here is the first part of Turning Point. It is going to be far to big to fit inside one post so I decided to split it into two.

The entire show itself is well towards completion and has been a mammoth task, but enjoyable at that. I expect the second part to be up tommorrow or Saturday. Enjoy part 1 guys.

Turning Point 2004 – Sunday 5th December

Live! On Pay-Per-View!

Part 1

“This is TNA…the new face of professional wrestling” was the voiceover as the short introduction video came to an end amidst flashing images of AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy and the champion Jeff Jarrett.

After a short black pause the PPV introduction video started to play…it showed the NWA Championship fade into shot before a slideshow of the ten superstars involved in the main event was played. From there a voiceover started to speak, “These ten men all chase one goal – to capture the gold that one man has held so dear for so long…tonight these men all get the opportunity to make an impact on their careers. That will remain with them till the day they die…” The video showed Monty Brown hitting Jarrett with the Pounce before changing to show Abyss hitting the Black Hole Slam on BG James. The images of the ten men hitting their finishing moves on each other sped up until the effect of a television turning off was used. The screen burst back into life with Nash and Hall screwing Jeff Hardy out of the Title at Victory Road, “The Charasmatic Enigma…so close but so far from his personal ambition will lead in a team of five men (shows the five men) to battle…”. Monty Brown was then shown dishing out some more Pounces, “The Alpha Male…not to align with his team-mates, to go it alone for the gold…”. DDP was shown making his debut… “Diamond Dallas Page…to make an impact on arrival…”. The video then showed a sun slowly setting as the voiceover continued, “Ten men…Two teams…One title…, may this Turning Point see the best man win…” The video then cut out.

The voiceover came back as spinning warning symbols (like corrosive materials, and a biohazard sign) crashed into each other and created explosions, “And now…TNA Wrestling presents…” Up through the explosions came the Turning Point logo…“Turning Point”. And as that video faded out the cameras cut to a live shot of the crowd in attendance for the PPV, Jeremy Borash started to speak over the shots of all the signs that the crowd were holding.

Jeremy Borash: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to TNA’s second 3 Hour Monthly Pay-Per-View! It is Sunday the 5th of December, we are live from Universal Studios in Florida and we are glad you all are with us to enjoy tonight’s show! Welcome to Turning Point 2004!

The shot left JB at ringside as the fireworks started to explode around the arena – and the crowd started to cheer louder. After the colourful introduction the cameras went down to Mike Tenay and Don West at ringside…

Mike Tenay: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to Turning Point! Tonight Don we have one massive show for everyone as we are live on pay-per-view!

Don West: That’s right! Tonight Mike we will see many massive matches, and where to start? How about the NWA Heavyweight Championship! 10 Men! 5 on each team! Elimination Rules!

Mike Tenay: Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Abyss, Monty Brown, Jeff Hardy, DDP, Randy Savage and the 3 Live Kru all are involved in that match and who knows how that main event will go down tonight, but that’s not all Don!

Don West: No that’s not all, also tonight! Six Sides of Steel, AMW against Triple X. Both these teams have a lot of history folks!

Mike Tenay: They sure do Don, and I personally believe tonight will be the end of this lengthy TNA feud!

Don West: Don’t forget we will also see tonight Raven come face to face with the mystery man who has promised him his destiny!

Mike Tenay: Raven is all about his destiny folks – and who knows how this encounter will go down later on. But it’s time to pass back to JB in the ring.

Borash was standing in the ring with microphone in hand as the cameras cut away from West and Tenay. The ring bell rang as JB was ready to make introductions.

Jeremy Borash: Ladies and gentlemen the opening contest scheduled for one fall is for the TNA X-Division Championship! And this will be defended in the International Fatal 4 Way Challenge!

Team Canada’s music started to play as the X-Division Champion Petey Williams walked out of the entrance tunnel into the arena. He was booed the entire way before he handed his belt over to referee Andrew Thomas. Next out was the representative for Japan, OK Revolution. He jumped around all the way down to the ring before Mr. Aguila’s music cut in. Aguila jogged down the ramp before sliding into the ring and climbing the opposite turnbuckle. The last entrant was next as “Hail Sabin, Hail Sabin” played over the loudspeakers…he taunted to both sides of the arena before pointing towards Williams and climbing into the ring. Referee Thomas stepped back as the match started…

TNA X-Division Championship – International Fatal 4 Way Match

Petey Williams © (CAN) vs. Mr. Aguila (MEX) vs. OK Revolution (JPN) vs. Chris Sabin (USA)

It started with the champion flooring OK Revolution with a right hand…Sabin then went face-to-face with Williams and both men ran their mouths, well until Aguila floored them both with a double axe-handle from behind! OK Revolution was back onto his feet and Aguila whipped him off the ropes, he skipped over Revolution as he came back across the ring before dropping down and flipping across the ring with his feet. Sabin and Williams were also both back onto their feet by now and were exchanging fists in the corner, Sabin signalled for Aguila to attack after he clotheslined Williams right into the corner…but as Aguila ran Sabin floored him with a dropkick! He shouted how that was revenge as the champion rolled him up from behind! 1…2…OK Revolution broke up the count, he then pulled up Sabin and took him down with a ground-based legsweep before doing the same to Williams. OK Revolution followed up this advantage and headed up onto the top rope…Aguila was back up however and knocked him back down off the top before he could do anything. He made the cover and managed a two count before Sabin broke up the pin with a standing legdrop.

Williams clubbed Sabin from behind as he stood up, he then locked the arms around the waist and gave him a massive German Suplex! Williams stood up and started to celebrate, only to turn around into a double-team dropkick from Aguila and OK Revolution – the momentum of the kick sent him through the ropes to the outside! Aguila was climbing onto the top rope when OK Revolution stopped him, he wanted to hit Williams with a move to the outside! Aguila eventually agreed as Revolution climbed through the ropes and came off with an Asai Moonsault – which he hit this time! He celebrated on the outside over the fallen champion while in the ring Sabin nailed a reverse snapmere to Aguila! He made the cover, 1…2…Kick out! That was close, there was no way either Williams or OK Revolution could have broken up the pinfall. The action continued in the ring as Williams on the outside took down the distracted Revolution…he then climbed back into the main action and caught Sabin with a very deliberate back elbow as he came off the ropes. Aguila however ran over and hit the champ with a running Inzeguri! He hooked the leg! 1…2…Kick out! OK Revolution slid back into the ring as Aguila got back onto his feet, the two men representing Canada and Japan looked at each other before they both turned away and hit Sabin and Williams! They looked like they were working together!

Aguila and Revolution whipped their opponents off the ropes, only for Sabin and Williams to duck a clothesline attempt – and turn around with a double standing dropkick! But Williams immediately then turned and took down Sabin with a monkey toss, he then pulled him up and scored with some hard slaps to the chest. Sabin countered back with some slaps of his own before whipping the X-Division champion into the corner. As he ran towards Williams he was dragged down by his hair from behind by Aguila! Meanwhile OK Revolution was climbing onto the top of the same turnbuckle as Williams…he spun around and scored with a hurricarana! Aguila ran over and quickly covered! 1…2…Revolution dove off the top rope with a moonsault! He caught BOTH Aguila and Williams! OK Revolution made the cover on both men! 1…2…Sabin broke up the count and pulled up Revolution…brainbuster! Sabin now made the cover, 1…2…Kick out. He was then pulled up from behind by Aguila, and he countered with a roll through a backdrop attempt! Sabin pushed Aguila over the top rope to the outside! The Mexican representive crashed onto the apron before hitting the floor as Williams was back on his feet! He was standing behind Sabin in wait…he pulled him up and called for the Canadian Destroyer! But OK Revolution rolled across the ring and caught him in the head with a spinning heel kick!

The champion was stumbling as he dropped Sabin, Revolution ran off the ropes and went for a second spinning heel kick only to be low-bridged to the outside of the ring! Both Aguila and Revolution were down now…and this left Sabin and Williams in the ring! Both men looked at each other before Williams caught a couple of right hands to Sabin! He then whipped him off the ropes and went to pull up Sabin for the Canadian Destroyer…but he sidestepped it! And scored with a super kick to the champion’s jaw! Williams was staggering as Sabin pulled him up! FUTURE SHOCK! Sabin hooked the leg! 1…2…3!!! Sabin was the NEW X-DIVISION CHAMPION! Fireworks exploded above the ring as Sabin had his arms raised in the air by referee Thomas…he was then passed the belt as the director went backstage to Shane Douglas.

Douglas was walking along with his microphone in hand…

Shane Douglas: Ladies and gentlemen…the Franchise Shane Douglas here. And I am on the case of two very special TNA wrestlers…the American Patriots.

He turned the corner and saw a door with “American Patriots” on the front of it…but as he was about to turn the handle Don Harris grabbed his hand! And the TNA Director of Authority Dusty Rhodes stepped into shot…

Dusty Rhodes: Well what can we do for you Shane Douglas!

Shane Douglas: I’m sorry Dusty I just wanted to get a comment from the Patriots just before their big match against Team Canada…

Dusty Rhodes: Well Shane Douglas, if you want to talk to the Patriots you do it through me! I represent those two and stop pests like you from pissing them off.

Shane Douglas:

Dusty Rhodes: If you want a comment, then ma comment is that the American Patriots are READY.

Rhodes knocked on the door, and it opened to see both Patriots dressed ready for action. Rhodes led them away from the interview and towards the ring.

Back out at ringside Team Canada’s Bobby Roode and Eric Young made their way out onto the ramp. A shot towards the ring showed how there were two flags holstered up in opposite corners, two Canadian flags, two American Flags. Team Canada climbed into the ring and waited…and after a pause the Patriot’s came out to a remix of the American National Anthem! The American Dream Dusty Rhodes was leading them to the ring as the crowd cheered. The Patriots climbed into their corner with the Canadian Flag and referee Fred Richards called for the bell.

Tag Team Flag Match

The American Patriots vs. Team Canada

It would be the larger of the two Patriots to start the match against Bobby Roode, and despite the size advantage Roode got the first shots in. He whipped Patriot 1 off the ropes and caught a reverse elbow before running off the ropes and scoring with a running forearm. Patriot 1 was down…and Roode was now trying to pull his mask off!! But a swift kick from the Patriot stopped that, followed by a quick readjustment – just to make sure. A tag was exchanged between Roode and Young and the advantage in Team Canada’s direction continued, he kicked Patriot 1 in the back of the head before making a run for the Canadian flag. That proved a mistake as Patriot 2 shoved him away from the corner into the grasp of his partner…chokeslam to Young! And now it was the Patriot’s turn to head for the flag! He lumbered over to the corner and attempted to knock Roode off the apron…but he couldn’t and Roode dropped down with a neckbreaker onto the top rope. Patriot 1 stumbled back across the ring and actually tripped over Young’s body on the mat! Both tag partners in both corners were now calling for their men to make a tag. But Young and Patriot 1 weren’t moving too quickly as the referee started to count.

1…2…3…4…5…6…Patriot 1 was back up…and so was Young! Both men turned and laid each other with a right hand! And that led to both men in almost a mirror image falling back into their corners, and allowing their partners into the match! Roode and Patriot 2 met with an exchange of fists and kicks – with both men blocking each other until Roode managed to rake his opponent in the eyes. He ran off the ropes and went for a dropkick only to be sidestepped! Patriot 2 made a run at the flag! He was grabbing hold of the fabric when from behind Roode managed to grab hold of him…and deliver a weak powerbomb out of the corner. But instead of going for the flag Roode made the tag back to Young and both men whipped Patriot 2 off the ropes…double dropkick! And both men then went for the flag! Only for Patriot 1 to climb over the ropes and stand in the way of the Canadians…he wasn’t going to let them get the flags! The crowd cheered as Patriot 2 clubbed Young from behind and Patriot 1 knocked down Roode with a clothesline.

This now allowed the fans to cheer on the Patriots as they headed over to the opposite corner to go for the American Flags! But Team Canada were resilient! They were back up and nailed a double dropkick to the backs of their opponents. Young headed up onto the top rope…and came off with an elbow drop to Patriot 1. Meanwhile Roode pulled up Patriot 2 and raked him in the eyes before planting a DDT. This left the Patriots down and in trouble…Roode and Young slowly made their way over to the corner and went to grab the flags…but Patriot 2 was back up and he pushed Roode over the top rope to the floor! Patriot 1 pulled Young off the turnbuckle and slammed him down with the Razors Edge! Tenay commented how it was known as the “American Edge” as both Patriots made their way across the ring and…grabbed the flags! The bell rang as the match was over! The American Patriots had defeated Team Canada, and they waved their flags in celebration as Dusty Rhodes climbed into the ring…

Roode rolled back in the ring and aided Young back to his feet as Rhodes took a microphone.

Dusty Rhodes: Well boys, you see the rules of this match stated if you two lost…you would be fired! So…Team Canada, Bobby Roode and Eric Young…YOU’RE FIRED!!!!

Both men pleaded on their knees as Rhodes continued to point up the ramp, they had lost…and they ultimately had lost their jobs. Eventually they made their way up the ramp disgruntled.

Dusty Rhodes: Oh and boys…tell your manager Scotty D’Amore that this fat man don’t want him back either! All three of ya are fired!

The Patriot’s music hit around the arena and the three true Americans in the ring celebrated what was a massive win…after a lengthily look at the celebrations the screen blanked out and moved to an advertisement.

It showed Jeff Jarrett, Abyss, Monty Brown, Raven and Randy Savage fading in from pitch blackness alternately before cutting away to flashing images of the men fighting while a voiceover went over the clips, “battles waged over time, must meet their conclusion…TNA Presents, Final Resolution, January 16th, Live on Pay-Per-View”. The final shot was looking deep into Monty Brown’s eye…

Back out at ringside Johnny B. Badd was making his way down to the ring alongside his tag team partner Pat Kenney. Both men climbed into the ring ahead of their tag team championship match and Badd called for a microphone while Kenney taunted on the turnbuckles.

Johnny B. Badd: ORLANDO! (looks at the crowd) THE REST OF THE WORLD! (looks at the camera) There has been something missing from me recently! My name is Johnny B. Badd and I normally have my…BADD BLASTER with me! But I decided to save it for a special event…and TONIGHT is that special event people!!

He dropped the microphone and slid out of the ring before pulling up the ring apron, he reached under and pulled out the Badd Blaster! Kenney clapped in the ring as Badd waved his blaster around in the air. Kenney then picked up the microphone…

Pat Kenney: I love it! But Johnny, how about you save that Badd Blaster for after we kick the NYC’s ass and win the NWA Tag Team Titles!! (cheers)

Badd nodded on the outside and left his blaster at the timekeepers table as the NYC’s music hit. Trinity (in her first TNA showing for over a month) led Glenn Gilberti and Johnny Swinger down out of the tunnel entrance and onto the stage, she showed off her muscles as Gilberti cockily shined Swinger’s tag belt up with his hand. But that cocky attitude caught up with them as Badd and Kenney hit the ramp and attacked the champions! Kenney took down Swinger with a right hand as Gilberti was scoop slammed onto the steel ramp by Badd. The two challengers then threw the champions into the ring and the match got underway.

NWA Tag Team Championship

New York Connection © vs. Johnny B. Badd and Pat Kenney

Kenney climbed through the ropes onto the apron after throwing Gilberti back to the outside. This left Badd and Swinger as the opening legal men for the match. Badd whipped Swinger across the ring and off the ropes before having a forearm ducked, the champ came back off the ropes and sidestepped a clothesline attempt before knocking Badd down with a clothesline of his own. Swinger ran off the ropes and dropped an elbow to the gut before making the early cover, 1…2…Kick out. And Kenney was there to just make sure that the match wouldn’t end this early on. He re-took his apron position as Badd fought back to his feet with right hands, only to walk into a sleeper hold! Swinger’s short sleeper provided the opportunity to tag Gilberti into the match. The champions exchanged fists against Badd in the corner – until he slumped down against the bottom turnbuckle. Gilberti pulled him up and whipped him across the ring…he bounced back off the corner and into a monkey toss! Gilberti hooked the leg, 1…2…Kick out.

He then locked in a sleeper hold as Kenney banged his foot on the apron. The crowd banged along as Badd was stirring…he elbowed Gilberti in the head and managed to stand up. Sit down neckbreaker! Gilberti stumbled back into the corner as Badd attempted to tag in his partner, but he still couldn’t reach and Swinger clubbed him from behind with an axe handle before throwing him into his corner. Gilberti grabbed the neck as Swinger nailed some punches and kicks to the gut! But on the outside Kenney had dropped down from the apron, and was walking on the outside of the ring. He grabbed the Badd Blaster and held it by his side before climbing back into his position. Kenney looked ready to blast whichever NYC member came near him first! He communicated something to Badd who had his leg caught as he went for a kick…spinning heel kick to Swinger! But he fell back and Gilberti tagged himself into the match. The referee had his back turned as Badd was reaching for Kenney’s hand…But he withdrew it! HE SHOOK HIS HEAD! BANG! BADD GOT SHOT IN THE FACE WITH THE BADD BLASTER! He fell down holding his face! Gilberti made the cover! Referee Andrew Thomas turned around! 1…2…3! NYC retained thanks to Kenney! He had screwed himself and Badd over!

Badd had still not moved following the match as Kenney climbed into the ring and was all high-fives with the NYC!? He was quickly passed a microphone by a very happy Gilberti…

Pat Kenney: I told you Johnny! You should save that Blaster for a special occasion! And what you just witnessed was one! I am not going to be in your shadow, I am not going to play along with this “Pat Kenney” bullshit anymore! I came into this business, into TNA as Simon Diamond! And that’s the way it’s gotta be!

Gilberti grabbed the microphone off Diamond.

Glenn Gilberti: Welcome home Simon. And here as a token off my appreciation to you I present you with YOUR NWA Tag Team Title. Ladies and gentlemen…give a big hand for the NEW Tag Team Champions, the new champions of the NYC…Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger! Oh and Johnny Sooo Badd? If you want to come after us IF you get your sight back you’re more than welcome…because the NYC will go Brooklyn on your ass!!

Boos rung out from around the arena as the NYC’s music cut in…Trinity, Diamond, Gilberti and Swinger all left together with smiles from ear to ear while back in the ring officials helped a badly injured Johnny B. Badd.

Mike Tenay: That was disgusting! That was disgusting Don, what we just witnessed made my stomach churn! Pat Kenney screwed Johnny B. Badd and has returned to being Simon Diamond alongside the NYC. I mean Don! Johnny could be blinded for God’s sake!

Don West: I know, and medical staff here at TNA are currently working on him in the ring. That was not the way anyone wanted to see that go down and I pray he is not too badly hurt after that…horrible situation.

Mike Tenay: It’s difficult to continue folks but we must, here is some exclusive footage for you. This past week we asked a few select TNA wrestlers to give their views on tonight’s main event…and here it is. Play the footage.

The video opened with America’s Most Wanted and a question in a box at the bottom of the screen, which was: “Who do you think will leave Turning Point as champion?”

Chris Harris: I don’t know about James but I think that it’s going to be a difficult one to call. But I would have to go with Jeff Hardy. He’s a decent guy and has the ability to win the match if he really goes for it. He should have been champ at Victory Road…

James Storm: I think Monty Brown will win, sure the odds are against him but everything is possible in professional wrestling.

The shot of AMW ended and the video moved on to Chris Sabin.

Chris Sabin: I think that Jeff Jarrett will retain the title, I am not sure if he will win the match but he will survive to retain his belt. He is just too strong for any of the opposition.

Finally it was the TNA director of Authority himself Dusty Rhodes…

Dusty Rhodes: Jeff Hardi! Monti Brown! Randi Savage! The list goes on and onnnn. Anyone can win this match! The American Dream just doesn’t know will rise up at Turning Point and do the job!

The video cut out as the question came up on the screen again with the TNA logo in the background. Tenay spoke over the top.

Mike Tenay: Our online poll at NWATNA.com asked the same question and here are the results for you all…and as you can see Don the TNA fans expect Jarrett to retain the gold here tonight.

Jeff Jarrett: 60%

Monty Brown: 5%

DDP: 20%

Abyss: 5%

Others: 10%

Don West: And interestingly Mike DDP has got 20% of the vote despite only being announced as being in the match from last Friday’s Impact!

Mike Tenay: And of course later on we will find out what truly happens Don, but now we move on to a match between the generations. Next it’s Rowdy Roddy Piper against Kid Kash…

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling:

Turning Point 2004 – Sunday 5th December

Live! On Pay-Per-View!

Part 2

The cameras left Tenay and West as a promotional video started to play. It went back to Victory Road and showed Rowdy Roddy Piper’s return to TNA with his interview segment – and the following interference from Kid Kash. This culminated with Piper’s guest Jimmy Snuka locking in a throat choke on the cocky K-I-D before the video then moved on to the Impact shows leading to Turning Point. The back and forth war between the legend and the youngster was highlighted before the video ended with Piper’s strained face and the distorted words… “I’m gonna get that little punk this Sunday…”

And with that the bagpipes started to play around the arena, and the crowd erupted! Piper walked out through the entrance tunnel and onto the ramp. He played to the cheering crowd before slowly climbing into the ring and climbing a few of the turnbuckles. Kid Kash’s music came on mid taunt and his monster Dallas led him out. Kash could then be seen in shot with his arms raised above his head, and a cocky smile. He faked a limp (obviously in relation to Piper’s status as a legend) as he walked around the ring before pointing and laughing at Piper…which was a mistake! Piper climbed to the outside and jumped off the apron with a double axe-handle to the cocky K-I-D! The referee Fred Richards called for the bell.

Kid Kash vs. Rowdy Roddy Piper

Dallas grabbed Piper from behind as Kash was attempting to crawl away from the possessed braveheart. But Piper reverse kicked Dallas in the groin for his trouble before knocking him down with a right hand! On turning around Piper then noticed that Kash was on his hands and knees in the ring, so he slid in and walked over to Kash…who was begging him to stop for a timeout! Piper waited for a moment before going to grab his opponent, but this was a mistake as he was kicked in the face! Piper stumbled back into the corner of the ring and Kash faked another limp before planting some punches right to his opponent’s jaw.  But Piper fought back immediately! He grabbed Kash around the neck and shouted something into his face before turning around and chucking him into the corner! Right hand after right hand! Slap after Slap! Kash was in trouble as he desperately attempted to find a way out of the corner…which he did in the end as he slid along the ropes to safety as referee Richards held Piper back for a moment. But by restraining Piper the ref had turned his back on the K-I-D and was dropkicked in the back! The referee was now down as Dallas climbed into the ring alongside Kash! Piper was now in a lot of trouble!

Dallas ran across the ring and scored with a massive big boot before Kash threw Piper over the top rope to the outside of the ring…There was no time to breath for Piper as Dallas followed him out and hit some more punches. Kash meanwhile grabbed a steel chair…and the crowd knew what was coming. Dallas nailed one final big right hand and Piper spun around right into the path of the flying chair! The Smashmouth! Piper hit the floor hard and he looked completely dead as Kash celebrated on the outside with the now heavily dented steel chair raised above his head. Piper looked back up from the floor…and the blood could be seen just dripping off his face, that chair shot had busted the braveheart wide open! Kash rolled Piper back into the ring and he made the cover…but the referee was still down following the intentional dropkick! Kash and Dallas were both now attempting to revive the injured referee…as Piper was stirring! He was slowly making his way back onto his feet…and the crowd were cheering more and more loudly! He clubbed Dallas from behind! Scoop Slam to Kash! He managed to duck the Dallas big boot which had hit him earlier before nailing a sidebuster to the illegal man!!

Piper’s crimson mask was getting redder and bloodier by the moment as he pulled up Kash and got nailed with a low blow! That fight back didn’t last long as Kash stood back onto his feet…and some music started to play around the arena! IT WAS JIMMY SNUKA! He walked down the aisle and pointed to Kash who was just standing in the ring looking pissed off. Kash sent Dallas to meet Snuka on the ramp, but Snuka was ready and nailed some right hands…before reaching into his pocket and pulling out a coconut! He nailed Dallas with it and the monster hit the deck instantly! The referee was stirring in the ring as Kash was still being distracted by Snuka. Piper rolled him up from behind! 1……2……3! PIPER HAD WON! The bagpipes started to play again as Snuka slid into the ring and aided the bloodied Piper back up to his vertical base. Kash had lost this match thanks to the distraction created by Snuka! Who then raised Piper’s arm as Kash backed up the ramp pissed. He pointed at Snuka before helping Dallas back up and heading down the entrance tunnel. The celebrations continued in the ring from Snuka and Piper as Mike Tenay and Don West said it was time to send to the back where Scott Hudson was with AMW.

Winner: Rowdy Roddy Piper

Time: 10:56

Match Rating: *3/4

70% - 69% - 71%

Attention turned backstage and there was Scott Hudson alongside Chris Harris and James Storm – America’s Most Wanted. He waited for a moment as Harris and Storm warmed up on the spot.

Scott Hudson: America’s Most Wanted, in a moments time you will be stepping into the Six Sides of Steel to face Triple X. Is this going to be the end to your year and a half feud?

Chris Harris: Scott Hudson, the last time me and James thought this was ended was after our last brutal cage encounter. Last time there were just four sides to contend with however, this time there is six. Is this the end? We shall see after the match.

Scott Hudson: Now guys, it has been well documented that you two have not been on the best of terms of late and also how you both aren’t in the best condition for tonight’s match.

James Storm: Yeah sure Scott Hudson we have not been on the best of terms recently, but we have teamed for over two years now here in TNA and even partners as close as us have blips. As to our condition? Well we aren’t going to use it as an excuse, but sure we aren’t one hundred percent. Sure we are not physically fit to our normal best. But mentally…we are ready to take Triple X to hell…Let’s go Chris.

AMW left the interview as Hudson handed back over to Tenay and West at ringside.

Mike Tenay: As the Six Sides of Steel are being set up here folks lets go to a highlight video about how these four men came to this dramatic conclusion…

Six…Sides…Of…Steel flashed through the black screen in red fiery writing before all four men’s individual faces followed slowly with grey tints. Flashbacks of past encounters between the two teams were highlighted through a timeline, it began with the first steel cage match and came up to date with the last man standing match at Victory Road. Then the video plunged into darkness again before flashing through grey-tinted stills of last Impact’s brutal beating to AMW inside the Six Sides of Steel…the haunting images and sounds of XXX smiling and laughing following the assault ended the package.

The cameras went back out to ringside where the steel cage was finally set up and ready for the match…and with that Triple X’s music hit over the loudspeakers. Alongside a soundtrack of boos from the crowd Christopher Daniels and Elix Skipper both headed down the ramp. They then stopped at the bottom and looked at the cage in front of them before walking up the ring steps and climbing through the door into the enclosed ring. Then there was silence…the anticipation was building…and AMW’s music hit! Chris Harris and James Storm made their way out of the tunnel entrance and into the full view of the arena, they then both stopped and taunted to the cheering crowd before heading down the ramp and looking at their opponents from the outside. There was a lengthy pause before they both climbed into the ring and were ready for this brutal encounter to begin.

Six Sides of Steel – Tag Team Steel Cage Match

America’s Most Wanted vs. Triple X

Both teams launched themselves at each other as referee Mike Posey called for the bell. It was Daniels and Harris exchanging blows alongside Skipper and Storm doing the same…and it was AMW taking the advantage! Daniels and Skipper were getting knocked right back across the ring, before they both countered at the same time! Now it was XXX nailing AMW with right hands back across to the other side of the ring! Harris was knocked down with an uppercut from Daniels as Skipper kicked Storm right in the face. This allowed referee Posey to push Primetime back into his corner of the ring and regain some control over the tag element of the match, meanwhile Storm made his way into AMW’s corner. This left Harris and the Fallen Angel in the ring as the legal men…and Daniels continued to knock his opponent all over the place with right hand after right hand. The Wildcat attempted to counter only to be grabbed and thrown head-first into the steel cage! He fell down onto the mat and Daniels made the early cover, 1…2…Kick out. The Fallen Angel pulled up Harris and whipped him against the cage – back first! That was followed by another whip into the other side of the cage! The sound of the cage clattering echoed around the arena as Harris stumbled along the mat on his knees holding his back. Daniels made the tag to Skipper.

Primetime climbed into the ring and went to whip Harris into the cage for a third time, but he was countered and thrown into the cage himself! Harris with the school boy pin! 1…2…Roll out by Skipper – straight into a sitdown dropkick to the Wildcat’s face! Another cover! 1…2…Kick out from Harris. And then came the ground-based headlock from Skipper, there was a lengthy spell with the headlock attached before Skipper spun around on the mat and changed the move into a head scissors! But Harris wasn’t going to take any more! He stood up with the head scissors still attached and powerbombed Primetime into the mat! He then fell across the ring and managed to tag Storm’s extended hand…and now Daniels was also in the ring! Rights and lefts from Storm as the Fallen Angel hit the mat, Skipper was back up and had a standing heel kick ducked into a standing dropkick. Harris was now also back and fighting! He floored Daniels with a Catatonic! Both members of XXX were down and the crowd were cheering as AMW slowly turned and looked to the top of the Six Sides of Steel! They nodded to each other and Storm started to climb as Harris pulled up Skipper and held him steady…Storm reached the top and slowly managed to stand up, he barely held his balance as he dove off…the Death Sentence! Harris rolled through on impact and the referee started to make the count, 1…2…Shoulder up! The move that had ended the first steel cage had not ended the second! Skipper was able to kick out!

Daniels clubbed Harris from behind with an axe handle, and he crashed the referee into the cage accidentally with the follow through! Referee Posey collapsed to the mat as Skipper nailed a stunned Storm with the Play of the Day! He made the cover…but the referee was down! And now the Fallen Angel was searching the referee for something…he pulled out the cage door key from the ref’s pocket and held it in the air triumphantly. Triple X made their way over to the door and unlocked it before jumping to the outside of the ring, they both headed for the timekeepers table and took a steel chair each…Daniels headed back towards the ring first but was distracted by his new weapon as Harris was standing in the doorway! He dove off with a flying clothesline which knocked Daniels into the barricade! Harris got up and turning around into a Skipper chair shot! There was a pause as all three men on the outside regained their composure, and Harris was revealed to have been busted open from the last chair shot! Primetime rolled the one half of AMW into the ring as Daniels followed. Both members of XXX repositioned themselves and raised their chairs over the fallen AMW…but were nailed with low blows! AMW were fighting back! Harris was completely busted open as he pulled up Daniels and gave him his own finisher! The Angel’s Wing! Skipper meanwhile was nailed with his own steel chair by Storm. This now left XXX on the back foot as America’s Most Wanted both once again looked towards the top of the cage…

Harris and Storm signalled for each other to do an elbow drop from the top – well that’s what it looked like. Both men climbed up to a corner of the cage each before preparing themselves…they dove off! INTO DOUBLE STEEL CHAIR SHOTS FROM TRIPLE X! AMW had been floored with those steel chairs mid-flight! And referee Posey was just stirring as Skipper made the cover on Storm! He was still groggy as he made the count! 1………2………Kick out! The count was slower than usual but AMW were still in this thing! Harris grabbed Daniels from behind and picked him up…battering him head-first into the steel cage! And now the Fallen Angel was bleeding from his skull! Skipper ran off the ropes and as Harris spun around he caught him with a spinning heel kick to the face. And now it was Skipper’s turn to head to the top of the cage! He climbed up and took his position as Storm climbed back onto his feet…Primetime jumped off, it looked like he was going for a hurricarana! But Storm half-caught him on his shoulders and powerbombed him into the side of the cage! Skipper’s body just flopped down onto the top rope before falling onto the apron in a crumpled mess! Storm pulled him back under the ropes and made the cover! 1…2…Shoulder up! This match wasn’t finished yet!

Daniels had managed to pull himself back onto his feet as a stumbling Harris grabbed him from behind and turned him around into the Catatonic! He hooked the leg! 1…2…Kick out again!!! And AMW could not believe it! Harris pulled up Daniels for a second time as Storm positioned a steel chair…Catatonic onto the steel chair! Daniels looked dead…1…2…Skipper dived in from nowhere and broke up the count! Storm immediately countered that attack and pulled Primetime up before throwing him into the cage again! The Fallen Angel was stumbling back to his feet as Harris laid in wait, but Daniels raked him in the eyes before throwing him into the corner of the ring. Daniels then kicked Storm and threw him into the cage before turning his attention back to Harris…He pushed him up to a seated position on the turnbuckle before Skipper climbed up alongside the seated AMW member onto the top rope. He kicked him in the head before being grabbed! Daniels was kicked down from his intended superplex and Harris pulled Primetime to a powerbomb position onto his shoulders! But Daniels was immediately back again and had Harris up on his shoulders! He stood up and dropped down!!!!

The combination electric chair drop/powerbomb left three of the competitors down and hurting…but Storm was still going! He was now heading up to the top for christ’s sake! What in the hell was he doing?! He turned around to face the crowd and stood up! MOONSAULT OFF THE CAGE! HOLY SHIT! He crashed down on Daniels!!!!! The crowd were going wild as all four men were now down! This match had truly lived up to the reputation and this had to be all! Storm slowly dropped an arm over Daniels! 1…2…SHOULDER UP AGAIN!!!! This match was not over!!! Triple X were not giving it up that easy!!!  There was a long pause as all four men were still down trying to continue on the mat, and it was Harris back onto his feet first, and all he did was start to climb again! And he was followed by Primetime to the top. Storm and Daniels then both slowly made their ways to the top on the opposite side of the ring.

Punches were exchanged on the top of the cage between all four men until Skipper kicked Harris in the face! AND HE DROPPED BACK INTO THE RING, SKIPPER LOST HIS BALANCE AND ALSO FELL! On the other side both men knocked each other back down into the ring also! CRUSHED, DESTROYED AND BLOODIED BODIES FILLED THE RING and referee Mike Posey had seen enough! He called for the bell! All four men were down in a horrific state as the referee made Jeremy Borash announce the match as a draw.

Match Result: Draw

The crowd were standing and applauding if not sounding now and again a little annoyed by the match being a draw, in the ring both teams were down and attempting to get back onto their feet…medical crews came down but as they attempted to help the fallen competitors they were repeatedly shoved away.

AMW managed to get themselves back onto their feet first before looking at Triple X…and helping them up. The two teams then hugged! They had been through a war tonight! Two teams with such a rivalry and now they had seemingly gained a respect for each other through the uncontrollable violence of the steel cage…

Mike Tenay: That was the most enduring and extreme match I have possibly ever seen folks! And even though we didn’t have a clean winner tonight we seem to have a conclusion to this massive feud between these two giants of the TNA tag division!

Don West: Mike…for once in my life I am speechless…

AMW and Triple X were inside the cage arms raised together as a video cut in…

It showed a highlights package from the monster’s ball match at Victory Road with Raven loosing the match and a shot of the mystery man watching from the rafters. The two images blended together as highlights of Raven’s promos over the last few weeks were shown. This was followed with Raven discovering the first note and reading it out before storming off, then it showed Raven catching Chad Collyer in the act of placing another note – and the following beatdown. The mystery man climbing into the ring behind Raven was next until the lights went out and the video went into darkness with it…when it faded back into light it had Raven looking at the camera (from last week’s Impact) announcing he would see the mystery man at Turning Point…

Mike Tenay: As they are just removing the steel cage Don it is now time for the revealing of the mystery man. For Raven to meet the man who has gone to the extent to promise him his destiny…

Don West: I am personally Mike interested as to who this mystery man is, there are many possibilities that have been going around my head but I still do not have a clue who it is going to be…

A brief countdown played around the arena as Raven’s music slowly faded in…the man himself then walked out into the arena and extended his arms out alongside him in his pose. Raven then walked down the ramp and slid into the ring – where he quickly took a microphone. He was not hanging around for this.

The Mystery Man Reveals Himself…

Raven meets the man who promises him his destiny!

Raven: It’s time mystery man! I have attempted to search high and low for you over the last month or so, and I have come both so close and so far to finding out who you are. But tonight, right now it is Judgment Day…I expect you to honour your word and come out here and reveal yourself to me…

Raven removed the microphone from his lips and placed it down by his side before waiting…there was near enough complete silence around the arena as everyone joined him in his wait, and then the lights slowly dimmed down! And out walked the mystery man onto the stage! He slowly made his way down the ramp and took a microphone a microphone…he then raised the lights before climbing into the ring and looking at Raven…

Both men just looked at each other before the mystery man grabbed his black mask, and removed it! IT WAS FATHER JAMES MITCHELL! And Raven did not look best pleased!

Father James Mitchell: Yes Raven, it’s me! I, Father James Mitchell was the mystery man who has stalked you ever since the monsters ball!

Raven: James Mitchell?!

The sinister Minster smiled before continuing.

Father James Mitchell: Yes Raven, you see when I heard that there was a monsters ball going down at Victory Road I decided to go along and watch – and what I saw made me want to gauge my eyes out with my fingernails…I saw the man who had been my enemy for so long, crash and burn. Fail. And that hurt me Raven, because I know you are THE wrestler here on TNA, because I know you are the best and should be the best. You Raven destroyed my New Church, my group, you Raven took names like Slash, Vampiro and Sinn and made yourself destroy them all to get to me.

Mitchell paused for a moment before walking over right up to Raven’s face…

Father James Mitchell: And then you destroyed me Raven…

Raven took a step back…

Father James Mitchell: But now I have returned, and I return with an offer to help a man return to his former glory, to the times where he could actually get to his final destiny – rather than fall short at the first hurdle. Raven, I know you inside out, I know what you are always thinking and I know that alongside me you can accomplish your destiny…

Raven: Mitchell! I have heard enough! I will NEVER align with you, I will NEVER accomplish my destiny alongside you!

Father James Mitchell: Why, that disappoints me Raven…boys!!

Slash and Sinn slid into the ring as Mitchell dropped his microphone! They jumped Raven from behind and nailed him with punches, but Raven quickly turned around and floored them both with right hands as Mitchell looked on from the corner of the ring…Raven was gaining the advantage with shot after shot to the New Church! Evenflow to Sinn! Evenflow to Slash! And now it was just Raven and Mitchell in the ring! Mitchell attempted to reason with Raven but was also given the Evenflow!! Raven had laid out all the New Church as his music started up again, and he left the ring.

72% - Raven lost 2 points of overness from this segment. Father James Mitchell gained 1 point of overness from this segment.

Raven backed up the ramp as the cameras focused on the New Church helping their fallen leader back onto his feet…

The PPV feed went backstage where Shane Douglas was standing next to Team Jarrett, Jeff Jarrett, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and Abyss.

Shane Douglas: Team Jarrett, in just moments you will all be involved in the 5 on 5 Elimination match for the NWA Heavyweight Title. But to me it looks like not all of the team are here…

Jeff Jarrett: You’d be wrong there Shane Douglas, here is all of Team Jarrett. It just so happens we have a wildcard on our team who would prefer to go into this match alone, and if that’s the way he wants to play it – that’s fine. There are only four members of team Jarrett, me, Hall, Nash and Abyss.

Shane Douglas: I see, now Jeff, some people are calling this the toughest title defence of your career and one of the top matches in TNA history, what do you have to say about that?

Jeff Jarrett: It’s quite simple what I have to say about that, this match is going to be tough, but I have the top three other TNA superstars behind me. Abyss, Nash and Hall. With them on side this will be as easy as taking candy from a baby. Now if you excuse us we have a title match to go and win.

Team Jarrett stalked off camera…

Shane Douglas: Well folks it is time for it now, the main event of the evening and here is the tale of the tape for you all to highlight how we got here tonight at Turning Point.

The video started to play and went back to Victory Road – where Jeff Hardy was screwed out of the NWA Title by Kevin Nash aligning himself with Jeff Jarrett and Scott Hall. From there the video of Jarrett’s celebration on the ladder melted down the screen as words burst into view… “From 1…To Nine!” and it showed all ten men involved in the main event in past matches before focusing on individuals.

“Abyss” – it showed Abyss nailing the Black Hole Slam and the Shock Treatment on different wrestlers.

“Monty Brown” – he nailed a few different wrestlers with the Pounce before the video went to a close up of his face.

Scott Hall” – Hall holding a microphone and smiling before him hitting a Razor’s Edge on Hardy off a ladder was shown.

“Kevin Nash” – Nash’s return with the guitars and following assault on Hardy before raising arms with Jarrett and Hall.

“The champion…Jeff Jarrett” – Jarrett’s past battles and numerous strokes were shown before him with his title over his shoulder ended his section.

“BG James” – James rapping alongside the 3 Live Kru was shown before heading to…

“Ron Killings” – his times as champion were briefly outlined before moving on to Jeff Hardy.

“Jeff Hardy” – Hardy battling against AJ Styles in his TNA debut and against Jarrett were shown alongside his hotel room assault from before Victory Road.

“Randy Savage” – his debut in TNA and his patented elbow drop finishing move.

And finally “DDP” – DDP’s debut with Diamond Cutters all around was shown before brawls between all the men were played. The video came to it’s climax with Savage nailing Jarrett with his title belt and Hardy making the pin over the champion from this last week’s Impact. Jarrett’s concerned face closed out the video…

Outside it was now dark in Universal Studios as a camera panned around and down to the soundstage where Turning Point was emulating from. The match graphic with all ten men came onto the screen as Tenay and West started to speak.

Mike Tenay: Here we go Don, now it is time for the 5 on 5 match for the NWA Title.

Don West: This match is going to be huge, and who will be the champion leaving here tonight? We are about to find out…

Jeff Hardy’s music started to play around the arena as the crowd woke from their silence into cheers. Hardy danced his way out of the entrance tunnel and down to the ring, before he was followed out by the 3 Live Kru – BG James and Ron Killings who came out together. With the first three men in the ring there was a sense of anticipation as the next music eventually came in and wound up to the guitar screeching sound that was the Macho Man’s theme. He walked out from the entrance first before stopping and pointing behind him…DDP then walked out of the tunnel to more cheers! DDP raised his arms and threw them down alongside to the bang of fireworks exploding above the video screen. He then walked down to the ring alongside Savage.

Abyss’ music cut in over the top as the monster – now de-caged following last week’s Impact lumbered out onto the ramp. He taunted as fireworks exploded alongside him before making his way down to the ringside area. Next it was Hall and Nash, Nash had his arm raised above his head while Hall was joking around with the crowd and attempting to grab signs from them. They both waited on the outside of the ring alongside Abyss as the Alpha Male’s music started to play – to massive cheers! Monty Brown jumped out of the entranceway and into numerous firework explosions before joining his “partners” down at the bottom of the ramp. And finally out came the NWA Champion Jeff Jarrett. He wasn’t hanging around and threw his glasses to the ground before storming the ring! His partners slid in alongside and it was a ten way brawl! The referee Rudy Charles attempted to stop all of the wrestlers from beating the hell out of each other…

NWA Heavyweight Championship – 5 on 5 Elimination Match

Jeff Jarrett ©, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Abyss and “The Alpha Male” Monty Brown vs. Jeff Hardy, “The Macho Man” Randy Savage, Diamond Dallas Page, BG James and Ron Killings

The match started after Rudy Charles had managed to make four men from both teams get into their corners, this left Abyss for Team Jarrett and Ron Killings for Team Hardy to start the match…and it didn’t start slowly with Abyss charging at Killings and flooring him with right hands – which knocked him over towards the ropes. But then “The Truth” started to fight back after blocking a fist and nailing some punches of his own! Abyss was staggering and Killings ran off the ropes…into the grasp of Abyss! The monster threw Killings into the ropes and this allowed him to make the tag to Jeff Hardy. Hardy jumped into the ring and ducked an Abyss clothesline before dropping down onto his back and kicking him right in the jaw! Abyss stumbled backwards and looked vulnerable…but Hardy ran at him and was floored with a Big Boot! Abyss pulled up the “Charismatic Enigma”…and was going to go for the Shock Treatment but was distracted by BG James running across the ring. He booted James in the face, but this allowed

Hardy to escape! He ran off the ropes and delivered a thunderous spinning heel kick! Abyss toppled over and Hardy hooked the leg! 1…2…The monster powered out. And now he was pissed! Abyss threw his arms up in the air and ran at Hardy! Black Hole Slam!! Hardy was folded in two from the impact as Abyss taunted some more…he didn’t make the cover however and turned around to his corner. Jarrett mouthed at him to “finish the job…”

Abyss turned his head sideways at Jarrett before Hardy dropkicked him into the corner of the ring! He proceeded to knock Abyss up against the turnbuckle with fist after fist before running back from the corner and diving in with a running clothesline! Abyss was knocked down onto the mat, but on Hardy’s next attack the monster was back into the match with a low-blow! The referee warned Abyss that any more of that would result in a disqualification. But he didn’t seem to care and nailed Hardy with a running knee to the face as Hardy was on all-fours! It looked absolutely brutal and drew blood from the

Charismatic Enigma! Hardy was struggling now – but help was at hand as BG James and Killings climbed into the ring and started to nail Abyss with right hands! This drew all their opponents into the ring and another mass brawl broke out! Jarrett was thrown to the outside by Killings! Hall was nailed with James’ combination of punches – before he rolled to the outside to avoid any more attacks. Brown went to nail James with the pounce! But he took Nash out with it! The momentum sent both men to the outside! This left five men against Abyss! Hardy ducked a clothesline attempt and rolled him up! Everyone pilled on top of the pin as the referee made the count! 1…2…3! ABYSS WAS GONE! The sheer weight of five men on his monstrous frame had been enough to cause an upset first elimination!

Elimination 1: Abyss @ 8:43

Abyss stormed to the back following his elimination as Hall, Nash and Jarrett were talking and shouting at each other on the outside. Team Hardy looked on from the ring before referee Rudy Charles managed to make everyone apart from Hardy get onto the apron. When they were all there however Hardy took the chance and tagged out to BG James. Meanwhile still on the outside Jarrett, Nash and Hall were arguing, they eventually changed their tune and started smiling…they sent the Alpha Male into the ring! He argued before eventually giving up as the referee was starting a ring-out count. Brown engaged in a fist fight with James – who went for his punches combination again but had the last one ducked! Fall Away Slam! Brown jumped into the air and ran off the ropes! THE POUNCE! He hooked the leg! 1…2…3! It was now all square again!

Elimination 2: BG James @ 10:12

James was still down in the ring following the Pounce as “The Truth” climbed into the ring and clubbed Brown from behind with an axe handle. He then ran off the ropes and went for a scissors kick to his bent over opponent…but the Alpha Male stood up and the Truth missed it! Brown raked Killings in the eyes! POUNCE! Killings had now been pounced!! 1…2…3! Jarrett, Nash and Hall clapped on the outside as Brown had just eliminated another wrestler from the contest! He was on fire!

Elimination 3: Ron Killings @ 11:43

But now DDP was in! He ran across and immediately took down Brown with a Diamond Cutter! He hooked the leg! This match could see another exit! 1…2…Hall broke up the pin. He then whipped DDP off the ropes and floored him with a spinning elbow to the face. Referee Charles pushed Hall over to his corner as the Alpha Male stumbled back onto his feet. He exchanged fists with DDP all over the ring, from one corner to the other before Page countered a punch into a sidebuster. He pulled up Brown again and whipped him off the ropes – into a neckbreaker. That was followed by a swift kick to the spine and another cover from DDP. 1…2…Kick out. He then dropped down and applied a ground-based headlock to Brown. The Alpha Male was visibly struggling for breath but his partners weren’t offering to help him, they just stood back and watched as he attempted again and again to break out of the hold. DDP eventually couldn’t hold it any longer and pulled up Brown, before whipping him off into the ropes and attempting the Diamond Cutter again! He was countered however and nailed with the Pounce! Was this the end for DDP?! No! He fell back with the impact into his corner and was tagged on the back by Hardy! Brown made the cover on DDP, but the referee refused to count as Hardy climbed onto the top rope – his face a crimson mask. Brown stood up and turned around into a top rope dropkick! Hardy made the cover! 1…2…Kick out!

Hardy pulled up the Alpha Male and connected with some right hands before whipping his opponent off the ropes, he went for a running crossbody attempt – but was caught by Brown! Fall Away Slam – countered! Hardy countered it into a Tornado DDT! Both men were now down as the crowd cheered, DDP and Savage had their hands extended for Hardy as Brown got up and stumbled over to his partners. They refused to tag him and all dropped off the apron to the floor! Jarrett pointed to the ring and told him to get on with it…The Alpha Male knew he was screwed and turned around to see Hardy nail him with a running spinning heel kick! Hardy made the cover, 1…2…Kick out. Hardy however couldn’t believe it and slowly made his way across the ring to make the tag…but Brown cut him off and ran in with a massive Pounce to Hardy’s spine!! The Charismatic Enigma was folded up with the impact! Brown made the cover! 1…2…3! DDP had attempted to break up the count but was too late! Hardy was now gone from the match and Brown collapsed on the floor after attempting to get back onto his feet – he was looking very tired and burnt out. He had just eliminated three men from the opposition in a row!

Elimination 4: Jeff Hardy @ 22:45

Then from behind Jarrett, Nash and Hall were in conference again on the apron. Jarrett shook his head and Nash climbed into the ring...he pulled up Brown from the floor and both men were now standing infront of each other looking eye to eye…but no! Nash pulled him up and nailed the Jacknife Powerbomb! The referee shoved Nash as the crowd booed following his attack on his own “team member”! Meanwhile Savage climbed onto the top turnbuckle in the opposite corner, he dove off with a massive elbow drop to Brown! The cover! 1…2…3! The Alpha Male was now gone! He was screwed by his own team!

Elimination 5: Monty Brown @ 24:10

That now left DDP and Savage against Hall, Nash and the champion Jarrett – who kicked Brown to the outside of the ring. All five men then turned and looked at each other from across different sides of the ring, the odds were now well and truly stacked against Page and Savage…There was a lengthy pause as the teams shouted abuse at each other, and Jarrett decided it was time for him to become involved in the match as he told Hall and Nash to get back on the apron. Opposite them the Macho Man told DDP to get back in the corner…it was now Savage and Jarrett as the legal men! They both circled each other in the ring before locking up. Jarrett applied a headlock to Savage and ran off the ropes before being shoved away. Savage was knocked down with a shoulder barge before Jarrett had a anklelock attempt countered with punches. Savage stood up and floored Jarrett with an uppercut! And he then ran over and gave Nash and Hall uppercuts also! Savage was kicking ass!! He turned around and ran at Jarrett…only to be ducked by the champion and run straight through referee Rudy Charles! Jarrett turned Savage around! The Stroke! Savage was looking down and out as he made the cover! – but there was no referee! DDP then quietly headed up onto the top rope and jumped off with an elbow drop to Jarrett! Meanwhile on the outside the Alpha Male was now back up and laying into Hall and Nash with right hands! He took both of them down and slid back into the ring with a steel chair!

He floored Jarrett with the chair, and then DDP! And then he also floored Savage! Brown stood tall in the ring – he had just taken out all of the men still in the contest, and that was his proof to himself that he could have been the champion tonight. He left the ring and backed up the ramp as Jarrett slowly crawled over to DDP and dropped an arm over his body. The referee was back up, 1……2……3. DDP was now eliminated! Despite not even being the legal man DDP was gone!

Elimination 6: Diamond Dallas Page @ 31:44

Jarrett crawled over to the final man and hooked the Macho Man’s leg! 1…2…Savage kicked out, he was still in this match to the crowds relief! Both men just lay on the mat as Hall and Nash re positioned themselves back on the apron again. Hall held his hand out to Jarrett who was slowly crawling over to his corner. The tag was made and Hall was now in the match. Savage stumbled back to his feet and was met with right hands from the new legal man. Hall threw the Macho Man into his now unmanned corner and climbed above him. He signalled to the crowd it was time for the ten punches! 1…2…3…4…5…6…7…8…9…Savage dropped down and hung Hall up on the top turnbuckle! He ran across the ring and knocked both Nash and Jarrett off the apron before running back across and flooring Hall with an uppercut! He headed onto the top rope! Elbow Drop off the top rope! 1…2…3. Hall was gone! There was still hope for the Macho Man!

Elimination 7: Scott Hall @ 37:32

Nash and Jarrett both slid into the ring following Hall’s elimination and were met with alternate hands from Savage! He knocked them both down one after the other before throwing their heads together! Jarrett stumbled around as Nash hit the deck, Savage planted Jarrett with his own finishing move! The Stroke!!!! But the impact had left the Macho Man down also and he couldn’t take advantage of the situation! Nash was first onto his feet, and he pulled up Savage – only to be knocked down again for his troubles! Savage was on a roll – he looked like he could defeat both men as he grabbed Jarrett and rolled him up with a school boy! 1…2…Kick out! That was close! Jarrett rolled out of the ring as Savage was held back by the referee…but wait! Abyss was running down the ramp again! He slid into the ring as Nash distracted the referee! Abyss ran across and nailed Savage with the Black Hole Slam! Jarrett slid back into the ring! He made the cover as the referee turned around and Abyss made his exit! 1…2…Shoulder up! Savage was still in this match! Jarrett made the tag to Nash on the apron, who climbed in and pulled up a mentally and physically wounded Savage…Jacknife Powerbomb! He made the cover, 1…2…3. And the match was over. Savage just couldn’t kick out and Jarrett was still the champion!

Elimination 8: Randy Savage @ 43:12

Survivors: Jeff Jarrett and Kevin Nash

Time: 43:12

Match Rating: **

74% - 73% - 74%

Jarrett and Nash helped each other up in the ring as referee Rudy Charles handed the belt back to the man who was still the champion. Jarrett climbed the turnbuckles around the ring with his belt raised above him as Nash got down in Savage’s face on the mat. The final image from Turning Point had Jarrett and Nash hugging in the ring, Jarrett had managed to retain his gold despite a decent effort from Savage…Turning Point went off the air.
