I am on Week 5 with the Eagles and still undefeated. I destroyed the Vikings 52-7 in week 2 , but that has been my only blowout.

With a 3-0 record I go aganist the 0-3 Bears....and they almost beat me. Brian Urlacher killed my running game and came away with 2 INT's. However , I managed to make a comeback in the final quarter and win the game 24-17. Chad Lewis , my TE earned a contract extension after the game because he saved the game for me. Terrel Owens and Todd Pinkston where covered by two or three men almost all the time and Lewis had 5 catches for 138 yds and 2 TD's in that final quarter.

Shit....I resigned some of my key players , but Corey Simon , my second best DT wanted a shit load of money and I wont get him back next year. Hopefully I can trade him for someone good before week 6. At least I got my FB , my HB , Fred Smoot , CB , who I got on a trade and has done an awesome job with 4 INT's in 4 games also resigned. Losing Simon and backup QB Jeff Blake wont be good at all.

Who do you think I should try to get for Simon?

After losing Simon after the first season in my franchise, I can totally understand the reasons to trade him. I'd probably try to send him and Buckhalter to Minnesota for Kevin Williams and a first or second pick.

Buckhalter doesn't do all that much with Westbrook owning others' defenses. =P

Trade Simon and westbrook to GB for Najeh and if you arent afraid to give up something else you could probly get Cletious Hunt and a mid to late draft pick. Or skip Hunt and and try for Grady Jackson, he's pretty good too.

I am probably going to buy this game before I go into work today. I played this game at my brother's house a few nights ago, and it's excellent. I've always been a big fan of the Sega Football titles, dating back to NFL 2K1 for Dreamcast. Plus, the twenty dollar price is a fucking steal.

So hopefully later tonight I'll have some tales of the Detroit Lions to tell you all. Stories of glory, and championships. :shifty:

I was returning a punt with stephen davis (because I havent traded him yet...) and I was home free, so I was doin a lill bit of taunting before I got into the endzone, but I got leveled, and fumbled the ball.

He recovered it and went pretty far out, but the booth challanges it and calls it a TD for me.....t'was an awesome moment in video game history.

ok i got the game and have a few questions.. whats this about making people mad on msn ?

also how do i work the music editor ?

and anyone found a reasonable training schedule. as of now in my panthers franchise my players keep losing 3- 4 points in ratings during the training so i'm doing something rwrong , but i love the idea of the traiing schedule deal :) great game. the controls are awkward at first but i've gotten used to them, I really hate the first person mode . the presentation in this game kicks so much ass . i still prefere the tackling animations from madden but thats jsut me. this is a definite buy for football fans everywhere. i'm gonna wait till november to buy madden 2005 now cause this game will hold me over. and if this is a sign of things to come i'll be buying the hockey title and any other espn titlt from here on out

I'm quite pleased I got this for my birthday. The realism and depth of this is crazy, especially after playing Madden 05, which my friend bought the day it came out and has bitched about ever since.

"so I was doin a lill bit of taunting before I got into the endzone, but I got leveled, and fumbled the ball. "

With my created QB I busted a 30 yeard run, stiff arming people left and right till I was right at the end zone...where I lateralled the ball (from hitting L1 and R1 so much I must have hit them both at the same time), which one of my teammates recovered.

Anyone have tips on cutting down on interceptions with "pocket" QB's? I end up having to leave the pocket and throw fairly often, which is hard to do with Warner or Rivers.

firstly i recommend finding some good sliders that fit your play style

I play as the panthers and usually if i play smart i don't throw that mayn interceptions . I've noticed though and around the 3rd quarter my qb gets tired and starts throwing interceptions.. also i find it better to have maximum passing on. if you are using ps2 hit select when you are choosing the controller and side.

My only downfall with this game is the fact you can only get updated rosters for online play. I really want to play with an updated panthers rosters so I'm forced to research and create the new players that aren't int he game and update the team on my own.. also in franchise mode the salary cap can be weird at times but i can easily overlook it.also the weird trades.

the game play is awesome and presentation is better than anything i've seen yet , but i'll be picking up madden for the up to date roster and the whole franchise in general

This game is the shit. Greatest football game I have ever played. The detail and awesome game modes are backed up by what I believe to be the best gameplay engine out there. But hey, that's just my opinion. I'm 5-0 in Franchise with the Packers, and am having a great time. I also have some great stories.

For instance, I was playing a buddy as the Ravens against his Lions, and had the greatest game I have ever played in any football game. Ever. It started out 0-0 with my defense line overpowering him, but due to my defender's low speed, he managed make his way down the field. As he prepared his last play that would surely give him a quick touchdown, I put the double coverage on Roy Williams and got the interception to give me control. However, my friend had plans to win, and back and forth we went, interception after interception until finally, late in the second quarter, I scored a 22 yard touchdown. With 1:00 until halftime, my friend drove the ball down the field and with ten seconds to halftime, Joey Harrington connected with Roy Williams, despite double coverage, to score and then tie the game with a field goal. In the second half, we both managed to score two more times and then, tied, I had the pleasure of facing fourth down with seven seconds left and 58 yards to kick for a field goal. I kicked, and it was good, but, and this is the whole truth, I was charged with a holding penalty. We would go to overtime. My friend once again drove it down the field, but I managed to snatch what would be the last interception of the day. I made it only a few yards before being tackled, and then threw a long, long pass to my reciever which was fumbled. The Lions recovered the ball, and my friend then scored three points with a field goal to win the game.
