Good result that one, thought when they announced the final 3 you'd get it. Now to poison the South Africans for revenge for what happened in '95 (Y)

I think I'll have to get a catering job :shifty:

The NZ media before the vote were completely downplaying it, saying we were an extreme long shot etc. They took a survey and about 12% of the people they asked thought we'd get it. The problem is all our stadiums are way too small and transport in Auckland is fucked as it is, hope we can afford it.

As long as the fans don't have to travel through the Mines of Moria to get there it should be okay (Y)

Should be good considering we were supposed to be sharing the last one with you :P

Looks like I may have a chance of working over there for it as well if everything plans out smootly again with whoever is running it for them. I am hoping its TWI because that would mean I would be more then likely working with them for another world cup

The good thing about not working is I can stay up/get up for all the games no problem! England for another final then? I'm guessing New Zealand will be favourites followed by the Aussies then us??

The Wales form recently has been good, other than one or two little blips such as Faletau beibg a bit shit at international level.

We should get out of the pool in second place, and get revenge on Fuji in the process.

So I saw the pools earlier.

Pool A: New Zealand, France, Tonga, Canada, Japan

Pool B: Argentina, England, Scotland, Georgia, Romania

Pool C: Australia, Ireland, Italy, Russia, USA

Pool D: South Africa, Wales, Fiji, Samoa, Namibia

Some interesting matches in there. New Zealand vs France has a bit of a history of not ending well for the Kiwis, so I'm curious what will happen when they face off. In the same pool, New Zealand vs Japan? That might be worth checking out to see how much the Kiwis win by considering that particular match holds the record of the biggest defeat in World Cup history (145-13 or something ridiculous in 1995). England have Scotland and Argentina to contend with, we've got Ireland and Italy, and South Africa probably have the hardest time of the three big southern hemisphere nations, having to face off with Wales, Fiji and Samoa.

Thoughts for winner? After seeing Australia vs New Zealand the other night I think we've got a reasonable chance of winning the lot, but we'll see what happens when the cup gets underway.
