What I want to know, is how the collective charts work. Is it, how many of us listen to the artist/track, as opposed to our personal systems which run on how many times we listen to the artist/track?

It works on how many of us listen to a band/song.

So, if 4 of us listened to the same band this week, it'd get 4, rather than the sum of our collective listening.
