Cool. Music Genome Project.

System of a Down works perfectly. It played me Kill Rock And Roll, to find out if I liked the roaring instrumentals paired with melodic vocals, and when I said yes it played me a song by Taproot... which I liked.

I used this a while ago, I don't have a working sound card in my current computer, though, so I haven't used it in some time.

It can be a bit dodgy with some things (searching for Dresden Dolls rarely gets anything remotely similar), but I got some great stuff from searching for An Albatross, and searching Nick Cave introduced me to "Being Followed Home" by Pulp, which is incredible.

Dammit, I don't have a valid zip code. :(

Anyone care to give me an example that would do?

Why do you need a zip code?

If you want to register, you need to give a valid US zip code, as they aren't licensed to broadcast in other countries yet. Just Google a region's zip codes and use one of them, that'll do the trick.

I've been using this for a few months or so and the staff is down to earth as hell. I sent them an email when I found it thanking them and making a few suggestions and they actually answered the damn thing and sent me a free t-shirt.
