Us, by Regina Spektor - one of my friends likes her, and therefore I listened to this song and now love it.

Stronger, by Kanye West - it's lingering, goddamit!

Chocolate, by Soul Patrol - there is a reason, do not panic people.

Hold On, by KT Tunstall - Tunstall is 2nd behind Ana in my "yeah, maybe..." list.

I'm at a shit point of my life at the moment (not immensly bad but I feel like shit) so I am trying to listen to up beat songs at the moment just so I don't end up like I did last time listening to depressing songs and having an emo SWERVE, so heres what I'm addicted to at the moment.

Streetlight Manifesto - A Better Place, A Better Time

Streetlight Manifesto - Here's To Life

Incubus - Love Hurts

Alkaline Trio - We've Had Enough

Brand New - Archers

Brand New - Magazines

Ok, bottom three are kind of emo but what the hell, I'll let myself off. Even though Incubus' song sounds emo it's not that emo actually!!

Beastie Boys - 14th St. Break

--This album has become one of my favorite of the year, rather unexpectedly. If anyone doubts the musical abilities of the three Beasties, pick up their two instrumental albums.

I haven't been picking up a lot of new stuff, but The Mix Up is far and away the very best record I've heard all year. Kangaroo Rat, Electric Worm and Freaky Hijiki are my favourite tracks, but everything on there is great. So glad someone else is pimping this record, because most people I talk to aren't even aware of it.

Other stuff stuff I've got in heavy rotation:

- Justice "Phantom" & "Phantom Pt. II"

- MstrKrft "Street Justice"

- Mos Def "Mathematics"

- everything on Tribe Called Quest's 'Low-End Theory' record

- Bishop Allen "Things Are What You Make of Them" & "Suddenly"

- Stiff Little Fingers "Suspect Device"

- Ryan Adams & Gillian Welch "Helpless" (Live Neil Young cover)

- Wyclef Jean "Wish You Were Here"

- anything with Thelonious Monk and Coltrane together

- Gladys Knight and the Pips "Midnight Train to Georgia"

I've been on a kick for heavier music as of late, though not all of these songs are represented by that whim.

Destroyer 666 - Songs for a Devils son

Skeletonwitch - Baptized in flames

Camera Silens - Indentite (a French Oi band, very catchy song)

English Dogs - Survival of the Fittest

Jimi Hendrix - Nightbird Flying

Davie Allen and the Arrows - Blue's Theme

Sacrilege - Apartheid

Daydreams - (Hed) PE. - I've gotten into (hed) PE alot lately, but ive been stuck on this song because of how it goes back and forth, its strangely cool.

Hey There Delilah - Plain White T's. - Simply because it's an amazing song.

Anthem - Zebrahead. - Just for the opening line 'I got a girlfriend, only she don't know it yet, got a six string best friend who sleeps with a broken neck'

Bottle and a Gun - Hollywood Undead. - Because Hollywood are just amazing cool.
