I want more gothpop in my life. Along the lines of I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness, The Cure, Interpol and the like.

A band called Thieves In Suits added me on myspace today, and they seem to have everything I want from a gothpop band. They're just lovely.

I want more.

The Cult are similar to the Cure. Not quite as good though.

I only really know 70s/80s Goth music. I don't know what could be called Gothic nowadays with the possible exception of Placebo.

Every article on Depeche Mode that I read always emphasises that they were massive goths, so try listening to them.

Depeche Mode's later stuff is excellent dark goth-poppy stuff, really worth checking out.

'Barrel Of A Gun', 'Walking In My Shows', 'Little 15', 'World In My Eyes' and 'Blasphemous Rumours' are all worth checking out.

I've nicked an album but not really checked it out much, but I hear She Wants Revenge are a bit gothy and a bit poppy. Not sure if the AFI sideproject, Blaqk Audio would be too electro for what you're after, but CexCells is a pretty good album. Nevermind the band name and album title being shockingly awful.
