I've not watched the Mushishi special yet, but the ending was spoiled for me.

Mushishi is getting a second season. Spring 2014 and Fall 2014. It will cover the rest of the manga's content. My joy is indescribable. This is literally the best news besides something impossible like Haruhi season 3.

And having watched the special it was great. I didn't want it to end, the 45 minutes flew by.

Space Dandy episode 1 was pretty good. It's really pretty artistically, but the episode kind of was just there. Hopefully as more gets explained it will get better. No idea what to really expect, but it wasn't as over-the-top silly as I wanted.

Note, I'm watching the subs, not the dubs, because apparently the creator said the dubs were bullshit.

-- The little narrator bit reminds me a bit to the openings of Outlaw Star. That is a good thing.

-- Somewhat psychodelic opening. Man, right now I wish I lived in Colorado.

-- Looks like it might be a bit fanservicey too.

-- Cute voice on the copilot. I bet that thing's a bad ass.

-- Space Century 0014. That's helpful.

-- ...Space Dandy is reading a porno mag.

-- Ah, they have transporters!

-- Jesus. The Gogole Emperor, I assume, looks scary as fuck.

I want to watch both and compare how good the translation is, whether the voices fit, etc. But maaan I could just watch another winter show instead. Gonna be picking up a ton this week, expect my feedback on them next week or the week after.

Enjoyed the Dub of Space Dandy! QT has a cute voice, the narrator is great, and the ending was hilarious.

Watched the first ep of Space Dandy in sub since I heard the dubs are terrible and not even a direct translation.

I thought it was pretty cool. Keen to see more.

Here's what I got so far for what I'm watching this season.

Buddy Complex: Not really game changing or anything like that, but I enjoyed it a lot. There's a lot of everything Sunrise has done to this point in here as far as the giant robot genre goes, but I really enjoyed all of the characters so I'll probably stick with it.

Nobunaga The Fool: They throw a ton of stuff at you from the word go but it's pretty neat. Feels a lot like Escaflowne and I loves me some Escaflowne so I'll probably keep up with this too.

Space Dandy: I really have no words to describe this show. I'm not sure if I liked it or not, but I am intrigued. They throw a lot of non-sense at you, but I think there is a main plot point in there somewhere that the whole show will revolve around.

Thursday can't get here fast enough though. I want more Silver Spoon damnit!
