Good 'cult' PS2 games

We all know the obvious games for the PS2, but I was wondering, since I have a rather decent credit note for a local game store, if people could assist me with some more less obvious, but good, games for the PS2. Stuff like Killer 7, Psychonauts, God Hand.....where they aren't necessarily that well known, and would probably be overlooked by many, but are well worth the time to play.

I prefer RPG's, but I don't really care, as long as its good.

Herdy Gerdy

Ico & Shadow Of The Colossus (get the two limited edition cardboard pakcs if you can - look great on a shelf next to eachother).

Forbidden Siren 1 & 2

Way Of The Samurai 1 & 2

Samurai Western

We've come across one at work which is big monsters battling eachother in cityscapes but I can't remember the name. It's like a better knock off of a Godzilla style attempt.

I can't remember whether Disgaea counts as 'obvious' or 'cult' - and it also occurs to me that I remember you having already played the game(s) when it/they came out and possibly even sending me a PM with a question about one of them, but whatever. I've typed it now. :shifty:

Zone of the Enders is also fun, though 2 is a vast improvement on 1.

Persona 3

It's so good.

Yeah, when I have the money, I'll be grabbing that for sure.

As for Disgaea, yeah Stoker, I PM'd you about the games before. Great little games though.

Thanks for the ideas thus far.

We got Persona 3 in stock and I nearly went for it, but didn't....Then saw in a magazine it was given 9 out of 10 and generally massively celebrated so went out onto the shop floor to find it only to find we'd sold both of our copies we'd received (cos for some reason we only got two....) Grrr now I'm gonna have to track it down - what a pain...

Does Mashed count? Barring Pro Evo I don't think theres many better PS2 multiplayer experiences. It needs a sequel!

As good as mashed was i felt it was like a second rate micro machine game but it was good game nonetheless

Marvel Alliance was awesome. the story had everything a fan boy ever needed with guest stars galore

has anyone played bishi bashi on the PS1? That game reeked of awesomeness
