The Place Where Fallout Purists Whine

Recommended Posts

I currently prefer Oblivion to Fallout but then that's like saying I prefer getting nine hours of sleep to getting eight hours and fifty five minutes sleep. Both games are immense. Fallout does annoy me sometimes, but not in a bad way. Fire Ants are not a problem. Chuck a grenade and then shoot the antenna of any survivors and sit back, cackling.

Deathclaws ARE monstrous (I currently run) but I find the Radscorpions to be overly annoying and Mirelurks annoy me too (The Nukalurks in the Nuka Cola plant were annoying too). Feral Ghouls are great though, let 'em get close and then combat shotgun to the head. 9 times out of 10 their heads just explode.

I also love pressing down the R3 button and dragging decapitated Raider heads around behind me for a while :D

New details about Fallout 3 DLC has been released.

Operation Anchorage: It's going to be a simulation, like Tranquility Lane, meaning that you'll lose all your equipment. New weapons, armor, and a new perk (Covert Ops) as well as the ability to command Strike Teams are included. This DLC focuses on combat/stealth and will be 800 points and last about 5 hours.

Broken Steel: They're going to raise the level cap and get rid of the End Game. New foes, perks, weapons, and armor will be included with this DLC.

Yeah, the level cap irritates me far more than the finality of the last mission. I totally understand why there's a cap in place, it just seemed far too low even after my first playthrough. I think most people who went about the game in a normal way (neither immediately doing all the main storyline nor avoiding it) hit level 20 way before finishing the game.

After a busy in-game day reprogamming robots down at the plant and trading for lots of money I head back to my Megaton house for a bit of a sleep (well a 16 hour marathon actually) and I'm awakened by barking!

I look down and Dogmeat is there in my bedroom! Huzzah!

I was actually pretty excited which was amusing.

However I've told him before that he's not allowed upstairs.

Oh well, out onto the next mission at Rivet City...Everything's comin' up Milhouse!

Question:

If I nuke Megaton, can I still do Moyra's quests?

I'm guessing not although there seem to be a collection of folk in the Tower who probably act as the alternate to Megaton. I went to the Tower after I'd disarmed the bomb though and couldn't really interact so fully witht he folk there except for constantly saying "comrade" to the Chinese guy.... :P
