Just wanna say, I read through the entire diary today and I must say it's one of the best on the board. Glad to see you're keeping it realistic EXCEPT for Air Raid. To much of a push for these two seen as this is WCW. They're winning to many matches if you ask me. But apart from that single gripe, I'm loving it.

Every match he has that title loses image-- Which is sad because I loved him in these days in real life and thought his push was well deserved. Time to get the title off him, and as much as I hate Douglas he does have more chops in that ring.

Rey Misterio Jr. (w/ Billy Kidman & Tygress) vs. Straight Outta Samoa (w/ Chavo Guerrero Jr.)

Ekmo and Kimo discuss tactics with Chavo as Misterio helps Billy Kidman from the ring. Misterio turns his back and Chavo instructs his men to pounce and they do with Ekmo crushing Rey Misterio in the corner then whipping him out into a big clothesline from Kimo and this match has started with SOS showing their dominance! Misterio is dragged to his feet against his will and thrown by Kimo across to Ekmo who picks him up and drops him to the mat with ease. This does not look good. On the outside Chavo Guerrero is already laughing his head off and getting cocky. Misterio gets to his feet of his own accord this time and gets whipped hard into the turnbuckle for his troubles. Ekmo charges in and nails a big splash and we get a repeat as Misterio is thrown out into another clothesline from Kimo and it’s followed up with a big splash. Kimo makes a cover but the referee won’t count as the match hasn’t officially started. Straight Outta Samoa are looking to end this one early here. The two pull Misterio to a vertical basis and whip him to the ropes. Misterio comes back across and is lifted into the air in a double flapjack but Misterio counters it into a double dropkick and both men stumble back slightly. Misterio lands hard but absorbs the blow and rolls out the way of a second splash from Kimo before jumping to his feet and ducking a clothesline from Ekmo. Kimo is coming charging back again but Misterio slides through the legs and Kimo and Ekmo collide! Misterio with a dropkick to the back and Ekmo goes into the corner. Misterio sidesteps Kimo and nails a dropkick before climbing to the top rope and slamming Ekmo’s head off the buckle three times. Misterio pulls Ekmo to a complete vertical and flips over the top in a Sunset Flip! Ekmo though grabs the top rope and won’t go over. Ekmo drops to his backside but Misterio slipped out in time. A kick to the back of the head and Ekmo is draped over the middle rope.

“REY MISTERIO IS KEEPING BOTH MEN ON THE BACK FOOT HERE!”

“HE’S CERTAINLY DOING THAT BUT CAN HE KEEP IT UP? YOU’VE GOT TO WATCH OUT FOR CHAVO GUERRERO AS WELL ON THE OUTSIDE!”

Misterio looks to the crowd and hits the far ropes, but Kimo drops him with a big kick as he rebounds and Misterio goes flying over the top to the arena floor! The referee tries to assert some authority and force either Kimo or Ekmo to vacate the ring. After much persuasion Ekmo exits as Misterio rolls into the ring leaving Kimo to start off.

“WELL THE MATCH WILL FINALLY START. REMEMBER FANS ONLY ONE MEMBER OF STRAIGHT OUTTA SAMOA WILL BE LEGAL AT A TIME. THIS ISN’T TORNADO RULES, THIS IS ONE ON ONE SITUATIONS.”

“BUT YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE THAT S.O.S WILL LOOK TO EXPLOIT THE ADVANTAGE AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY.”

Misterio gets to his feet and he and Kimo circle the ring. Misterio makes the mistake of locking up with Kimo and he’s powered back into the corner and Kimo crashes in with a knee to the stomach and an elbow to the head and Misterio is thrown across the ring with a Beale Toss. Misterio pulls himself up in the corner and gets crushed by a running Kimo and another Beale Toss sends Misterio crashing to the mat and the velocity of the impact makes the small man bounce and fall to the outside through the middle and bottom ropes. Kimo follows him to the outside despite the pleas of the referee and Kimo delivers a big scoop slam on the cold, hard concrete floor. Kimo pulls Misterio up and rolls him back into the ring as Tygress and Kidman try to rally their ally. Kimo grabs Misterio by the head, drops him with another slam and drags him to the corner. Kimo tags in Ekmo and the two nail a big Spinebuster before Kimo exits the ring. Ekmo makes the cover. ONE……TW-Misterio kicks out! It’ll take more than that to put Rey Misterio away. Ekmo pulls Misterio up and whips him hard into the buckle and follows in with a clothesline. A whip across the ring and a second clothesline dazes Misterio. Ekmo tries with a third whip and clothesline combo but Misterio gets a foot up and nails Ekmo square in the jaw! Misterio climbs to the second rope on the inside and tries to connect with a missile dropkick but Ekmo swats it away and Misterio lands hard. Ekmo comes down with a big leg drop across the chest of Misterio and makes the cover. ONE…..TWO…Misterio kicks out at two. Ekmo whips Misterio to his corner and comes charging in with a running knee, knocking Misterio to the mat. Ekmo stomps away at Misterio before tagging in Kimo. Ekmo drags Misterio to his feet and hooks him from behind allowing Kimo to connect with solid rights and lefts to the stomach and Misterio drops back to his knees on the mat and Kimo drops him completely with a big right uppercut. Kimo bounces off the ropes and looks for an elbow but Misterio rolls out the way and nails a leg drop. Misterio knocks Ekmo off the apron, ducks a charge from Kimo and springboards off the second rope into a Moonsault which takes Kimo down! Misterio tries his luck with a cover. ONE……T-Kimo powers out and Misterio flies halfway across the ring! Misterio pushes himself back into a “Ready, Set, Go” position and explodes with speed towards Kimo but Kimo scoops him up and drops him in a Samoan Drop! Kimo makes a cover. ONE……TWO…Misterio gets a shoulder up!

“THAT WAS CLOSE! REY MISTERIO NEARLY LOST IT ALL THERE!”

“MISTERIO KNOWS HOW IMPORTANT THIS MATCH IS, BOTH TO HIM, TO BILLY KIDMAN, TO KONNAN AND TO THESE FANS.”

“WELL S.O.S SO FAR HAVE EXPLOITED THE QUICK TAG STRATEGY AND YOU HAVE TO WONDER WHETHER CHAVO GUERRERO HAS A HAND IN THIS STRATEGY.”

“NO DOUBT ABOUT IT TONY, THIS STRATEGY IS A LONG TIME TRADITION. COMING FROM A WRESTLING FAMILY SUCH AS CHAVO DOES HE KNOWS ALL THE TRICKS IN THE BOOK.”

Kimo makes the tag to Ekmo as SOS make quick tags. Kidman hobbles to balance on one crutch as he bangs one against the apron to inspire the crowd who clap along, hoping to light a spark in Rey Misterio. Ekmo reaches down to Misterio and gets a kick to the head for his bother. Ekmo staggers back as Misterio gets up and Rey leaps at the opening connecting with kicks to the gut and Ekmo backs into the ropes. Rey looks for an Irish Whip, it’s reversed and Misterio bounces off the ropes. Ekmo swings wildly with a clothesline, it’s ducked and Misterio bounces off the ropes again. Misterio jumps looking for a Cross-Body Block but he’s caught by Ekmo and dropped into a backbreaker. Ekmo keeps a hold of Misterio and lifts him clean over his head into a Gorilla Press Drop! Ekmo bounces off the ropes and reminiscent of the Ultimate Warrior comes down with a splash across the back of Rey Misterio. Ekmo rolls Misterio onto his back and hooks the leg. ONE……TWO…Misterio kicks out. The Warrior must have done it differently. Ekmo pulls Misterio to his feet again and throws him into the corner of SOS. Ekmo makes the tag and Kimo comes in. Rey is sent to the ropes courtesy of a Double Irish Whip. Ekmo drops to the mat, Misterio goes over and is caught in a bearhug by Kimo! Kimo applies immense pressure to the lower back of Rey Misterio as Ekmo vacates the squared circle and is given a congratulatory pat on the back of the leg by Chavo Guerrero who has a big smile on his face. In contrast Billy Kidman and Tygress look increasingly worried as they yell at Misterio to try to fight his way out of it. Kimo tightens his grip on Misterio who comes round slightly and glances at Chavo Guerrero who flips him the bird and shouts something in Spanish. Whatever was said angers Misterio who starts to kick frantically and manages to catch Kimo in the knee. A headbutt follows and Misterio gets his arms free and slaps Kimo with both hands simultaneously and Kimo drops him. Misterio crawls through the legs of Kimo, jumps onto the second rope, springboards off looking for a cross body again and again gets caught. Kimo turns to face an empty corner but Misterio fights it and slips down the back and a dropkick sends Kimo flailing, landing helplessly across the second rope. Misterio looks to the heavens and hits the ropes but Chavo Guerrero trips up Misterio! That’s not right! Tygress runs round the ring and jumps on Chavo’s back but Ekmo is there to attend to it and Tygress is dragged over Chavo and dropped to the arena floor. The referee rushes from the ring to check on the limp body of Tygress as Ekmo looks to enter the ring but he’s knocked off the apron by Misterio. Chavo though has used the distraction to slip into the ring and he’s measuring Rey with the Cruiserweight belt! Misterio turns and Chavo lays him out with a shot right between the eyes with the belt! Chavo alerts Kimo who drops over Misterio as Chavo exits the ring to alert the referee. But the referee is involved in a shoving match with Ekmo and his attention is only diverted as Chavo joins the argument.

“OH NOW COME ON! CHAVO JUST NAILED REY MISTERIO BETWEEN THE EYES! TYGRESS HAS BEEN SLAMMED ON THE CONCRETE AND EKMO AND CHAVO ARE HARASSING THE REFEREE!”

“IF THE REFEREE COUNTS THE SHOULDERS NOW IT IS OVER, MISTERIO IS OUT OF IT COMPLETELY.”

“MISTERIO HAS BEEN CHEATED OUT OF THIS MATCH FOR SURE!”

The only man not involved is Billy Kidman who looks about him as the 17,000+ in attendance beg him to do something. Kidman somehow rolls into the ring and gets to his feet in the corner with the aide of the ring ropes as Kimo looks over from the cover to check on the status of the referee. Kimo slams his hands against the mat three times as Kidman raises his crutch and brings it down across the back of the head of Kimo! Kimo slumps off of Misterio lifelessly and rolls onto his stomach and Kidman pokes Misterio with the crutch to rouse him from his slumber. Misterio comes round as Kidman evacuates the ring and hobbles over to the melee on the opposite side. Misterio rolls to the apron, gets to his feet and nails a Springboard Legdrop to Kimo! Chavo and Ekmo divert their attention to Billy Kidman who holds them both off with crutch shots as the referee rolls back into the ring as Misterio makes the cover. ONE…….TWO……THREE! Misterio is victorious! Billy Kidman rolls into the ring to congratulate his friend but Ekmo and Chavo decide to be sore losers and Kidman tries to grab Misterio and drag him from the ring but Misterio is too heavy and Kidman falls back into the corner and Ekmo decides to crush him in the corner just for fun. Rey Misterio has got back to his feet and seen this but he’s laid out with the Cruiserweight belt again and Kidman is nailed with it as well for good measure. Tygress scurries into the ring to check on her men but she’s nailed with a scoop slam from Ekmo and Kimo adds the exclamation mark with a splash before leaving as EMT’s charge down the aisle at the insistence of the referee.

THANKFULLY TENAY IS THERE TO POINT MINOR DETAILS LIKE THIS OUT: “REY MISTERIO GOT THE WIN BUT AT WHAT COST? BILLY KIDMAN IS AGAIN IN CONSIDERABLE PAIN ON THE OUTSIDE AND YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE THAT THAT WILL PUT A DAMPENER ON THE CELEBRATIONS.” “WELL MAYBE SO BUT THE FACT IS THAT REY MISTERIO IS ONE STEP CLOSER TO MEETING CHAVO GUERRERO IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING!” THIS THOUGH DOESN’T LOOK TO BE AT THE FOREFRONT OF MISTERIO’S MIND AS HE HELPS BILLY KIDMAN ONTO A STRETCHER BEFORE ATTENDING TO TYGRESS, HIS EYES SAYING THE WHOLE STORY. The InSiders vs. KroniK

Adams and Clarke pounce on the champions as they slide into the ring and the referee calls for the bell as KroniK bring kicks down to the back and head of Nash and Page. The champs weather the storm and get to their feet, fighting back with rights and lefts. KroniK slug right back but Nash and Page get the upper hand and back their opponents into the ropes. Adams and Clarke are whipped to the ropes and Nash takes down Adams with a back elbow while Page knocks Clarke to the mat with a clothesline. KroniK are both back up quickly but Page takes Clarke over with a hip toss while Nash sidesteps a running Adams and uses his own momentum to send the challenger over the top to the floor. Nash exits the ring, the referee calls for the bell and it’ll be Diamond Dallas Page and Bryan Clarke to start the match. Clarke is allowed to get to his feet by Page and the two lock up. The two jockey for position but neither man gets an advantage and the lock up is broken. Page wipes away a little snot from under his nose and the two start to circle each other again. Page takes a step in and the two lock up with Page’s momentum carrying through and Clarke is pressed up against the ropes. Referee – Charles Robinson – asks for a clean break and DDP gives him it, stepping back and allowing Clarke to come out of the corner. Page and Clarke start circling again and this time Clarke takes a step in and forces Page back against the ropes. Clarke removes his hands but we don’t get a clean break as Clarke slaps Page around the cheek and Page pushes Clarke back. Page bounces off the ropes and ducks a swing from Clarke hitting the opposite ropes. Clarke tries to sidestep it but Page grabs the arm and reverses into an Irish Whip of his own. Clarke hits the rope, Page drops his head and Clarke goes over in a big backdrop! Clarke reaches up and tags in his partner Brian Adams who enters the ring. Page lets Adams into the ring and the two lock up with Adams taking command with a knee to the gut and Adams with a suplex. Adams drops an elbow and makes the cover. ONE..…..TW-Page kicks out. Adams pulls Page up and hits a big right sending Page into the corner. Adams drives his shoulder into the ribs of DDP, once……twice…….three times and whips Page across the ring. Adams follows in with a clothesline and Page staggers out the corner into a sidewalk slam! Adams pulls Page by the leg over to the corner and tags in his partner. Adams brings Page to his feet and he’s dropped back to the mat with a double suplex. Clarke rolls into a cover. ONE……TW-Page gets a shoulder up. Clarke starts to stomp away on Page before whipping him into the corner of KroniK. Clarke approaches Kevin Nash and encourages him into the ring. With the distraction Clarke and Adams get a chance to double team DDP and they take it beating down the champ with rights and lefts before Nash vacates the ring. Page drops to the mat and his head is driven off the mat by Clarke who tags in his partner.

“THAT’S NOT RIGHT MIKE! KEVIN NASH WAS THE LEGAL MAN!”

“HE WAS TONY BUT THE REFEREE DIDN’T SEE IT. THE REF CAN ONLY CALL WHAT HE SEES!”

“HE DIDN’T SEE A TAG BETWEEN CLARKE AND ADAMS BUT HE LET THAT GO!”

“WELL THAT IS TRUE BUT HE DID HEAR SOMETHING RESEMBLING A TAG. SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO GO WITH YOUR INSTINCTS.”

Brian Adams enters the ring and tosses Page into a neutral corner. Page pulls himself up but gets caught in the corner by Adams with a clothesline. Everything is being kept very basic here. Page buckles in the corner and Adams backs up. Adams moves in again with a shoulder tackle which gets a big “oomph” out of DDP. Brian Adams backs up and raises one finger to signify one more. Adams charges in but Page drops down and Adams crashes into the ringpost. Adams backs out of the corner clutching at his shoulder and is taken down with an arm-breaker by DDP. Page rolls onto his stomach as Kevin Nash stomps his foot on the apron to get the crowd behind him and his partner. Page starts to crawl the long way across to Nash whereas Adams starts the shorter distance to Bryan Clarke. Both partners have their arms outstretched. Page is making good ground across the ring and looks like he’ll make the tag first but Bryan Clarke enters the ring distracting the referee. DDP makes the tag to Nash who steps over the top rope into the ring. Nash picks Brian Adams up but the referee didn’t see the tag and is telling Nash to get out the ring! Bryan Clarke enters the ring again and pulls DDP over to their corner. Adams rolls from the ring and Clarke claps his hands together as Nash gives in to the ref. The referee turns as Clarke is locking DDP into a rear chin lock and Clarke confirms there was a tag, even though there wasn’t. Clarke locks in the chin lock but from where we see it, it more closely resembles a choke.

“THAT’S A CHOKE MIKE! IT’S RIGHT ACROSS THE THROAT! THAT’S A CHOKE!”

“IT DOES LOOK LIKE A CHOKE BUT THE REFEREE HAS A BETTER LOOK AT IT THAN WE DO FROM OUR POSITION.”

“WE CAN SEE IT CLEARLY MIKE! IT’S NOT A CHIN LOCK, IT’S A CHOKE! BRYAN CLARKE IS CHOKING DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE, AND HE’S GETTING AWAY WITH IT!”

Page starts to stomp his leg on the mat to get the crowd behind him and soon his stomping is joined by clapping from the crowd. Clarke shakes his head trying to deny that Page can possibly escape but the former champ begs to differ, getting to his feet and sending three solid elbows into the gut of Clarke. Clarke breaks the hold but clubs Page across the back with a solid forearm but Page comes back with a low blow unseen by the referee! What a coincidence the referee was in the one place where his view was obscured. Clarke drops to the mat and Page does the same. Both men start to crawl towards their corners and this time it looks about even. Page is hurting all over as he drags himself across the mat to Kevin Nash. Bryan Clarke is close to Adams. Clarke makes the tag………………..and Page tags in Nash! Adams enters the ring and charges Nash but is met with a big boot and Adams goes down! Clarke tries to pounce but gets the same fate and hits the deck! Adams back up and he’s knocked down again with a clothesline. Clarke runs in but gets knocked to the mat with a clothesline as well. DDP is back up and he takes Clarke to one corner while Nash drags Adams to the opposite corner. Nash and Page whip KroniK into each other! Clarke stumbles away only to be knocked over the top by DDP and Adams turns into a boot to the stomach from Kevin Nash. Nash signals for the Jacknife Powerbomb. Adams’ head is tucked in between the thighs and Brian Adams goes for the ride with the Powerbomb! Kevin Nash drops into the cover. ONE……..TWO…….THREE! The InSiders retain the titles!

Justin Credible: What the hell is that thing doing being set up Zbysko? That wasn’t part of the deal! It was me and Funk, no conservatory, no goddamn glass cage. Just me, that aging asshole and a whole lotta weapons.

Larry Zbysko: Mr. Credible, my over-riding job here in WCW as its’ President is to give the people, the fans out there the best show I can. How I do that is my problem. I chose to do it by sanctioning the ‘Funkin Conservatory’ to be set up for your match.

Justin Credible: That is not part of the deal Zbysko, I signed a contract and it did not mention the conservatory!

A smile develops across the face of Zbysko and his eyes roll up and too his left as if he is trying to recall something. He flashes his teeth as the lightbulb flashes above his head and he has his retort.

Larry Zbysko: Small print’s a bitch eh?

The realisation spreads across the face of Justin Credible that this may actually be allowed and he tries a different approach instead.

Justin Credible: You know what Zbysko? Let Funk have the Conservatory. It won’t make a difference. Tonight……………..his ass is mine.

Credible walks off angrily, smacking the cane off a nearby wall for good measure as we head back to ringside.

- THE CONSERVATORY PROVES DECISIVE -

Terry Funk vs. Justin Credible

The appearance of the Funkin’ Conservatory seems to have rattled Justin Credible here as he and Funk circle each other inside the ring. Credible still has the Singapore Cane in his hand and moves in trying to nail Funk but Funk dodges it. The two start to circle each other again, Credible spinning the cane in his hand. Credible moves in with another swing and again Funk manages to avoid it. Funk wipes a bead of sweat off his brow and quickly glances at the crowd before avoiding a third attempt from Credible and this time Funk makes his move with a Hanging Neckbreaker and both men hit the canvas. The two get up and Credible still has the cane in his hand but Funk doesn’t seem concerned. The champion indicates that they are inside the Conservatory and this is his mind game. Credible shakes it off and swings with the cane again, t misses and comes to a rest on the turnbuckle but Funk kicks the cane up and out of Credible’s grasp. The cane flies over the top to the outside of the ring as Funk connects with three solid lefts to the temple of Credible and Credible backs into the corner. Funk delivers three more left hands but Credible comes back with some right hands and knocks The Funker to the mat. Credible keeps his momentum going backing a vertical Funk into the far corner and nailing Funk with right hand after right hand after right hand until Funk falls to the mat. Credible continues his assault with stomps to the gut and Funk rolls from the ring to the outside.

“TERRY FUNK LOOKS A LITTLE RATTLED HERE. JUSTIN CREDIBLE HAS BROUGHT EVERYTHING TO THE TABLE AND FUNK SEEMS A LITTLE SHOCKED BY THAT.”

“I DON’T THINK HE EXPECTED THE INTENSITY RIGHT OUT OF THE GATE BY JUSTIN CREDIBLE, ESPECIALLY INSIDE THE CONSERVATORY, BUT FUNK KNOWS NOT TO UNDER-ESTIMATE CREDIBLE. WE SAW WHAT HE DID TO SHANNON MOORE.”

“WELL CREDIBLE DOES HAVE THAT CANE. WE SAW HIS EXPERTISE WITH THAT ON THURSDAY NIGHT. FUNK HAS TO BE AWARE OF THAT.”

Funk rolls back into the ring and gets a cane shot across the back as he enters. Funk tries to get up but a second cane shot stops him and a third shot across the back of the head knocks him to the mat. Credible drops the cane behind him and lifts Funk to his feet and Credible with an Inverted Russian Leg Sweep onto the cane! Credible rolls Funk over into a cover. ONE…..T-Funk kicks out. You need to do a lot more than that to beat Funk. Credible picks up the cane again but Funk kicks him in the shin and punches Credible in the bread basket and Credible’s grip on the cane loosens. Funk grabs the opposite end of the cane and yanks it and Credible flies through the ring ropes to the outside, minus the cane which is now in the possession of The Funker. Credible hits his head hard on the glass as Terry Funk exits the ring onto the ring apron. The champ waits for Credible to get to his feet and lays him out with a shot with the cane from the ring apron. Funk drops the cane and goes searching under the ring for some other goodies. Funk has a hold of something as Credible gets to his feet but whatever Funk has is caught on something. Credible approaches as Funk gets it free and Credible gets a face full of carbon dioxide! Credible turns away unable to see and stumbles over the ring steps in his confusion. Funk pulls a trashcan from under the ring as Credible gets back to his feet, wiping away the foam from his eyes. Credible turns and gets laid out with a trashcan shot right between the eyes! Funk drops the trashcan beside him and picks Credible up. Funk looks for a DDT but Credible counters with punches to the stomach and Credible drops Funk head first onto the trash can with a DDT!

“OH THAT HAD TO HURT THERE!”

“JUSTIN CREDIBLE GIVING AS GOOD AS HE GETS INSIDE THE CONSERVATORY!”

Credible pulls himself to his feet and then helps Funk to his and Funk is whipped into the ring steps. The Funker pulls himself into the ring as Justin Credible looks under the ring for some more weaponry. Funk gets to his feet as Credible pulls out a “STOP” sign and throws it into the ring. Credible then pulls out a crutch and a second trashcan which both get thrown into the ring before Funk brings the fight back to the outside with a baseball slide and Credible crashes into the glass again! Funk picks up the crutch from the mat and exits the ring. Credible gets nailed over the head with the crutch and the crowd count along. (1……2……..3…….4…..…5…....6…..…7…....8…..9….10!) Funk turns away and raises the crutch in the air as the fans cheer but when he turns back Credible kicks him square in the lower nutsack region and Funk crumbles to the mat. Credible grabs the crutch and brings it down across the ribs of Funk twice before crawling back into the ring. Terry Funk gets to his feet outside as Credible does the same in the ring and Credible reaches over the top rope grabbing Terry Funk by the hair. Credible hauls Funk onto the apron and brings him in over the top with a suplex. Credible picks up the trashcan in the ring and forces it between the top and middle ropes in the corner. Credible pulls The Funker to his feet and scoops him up before bringing him down with a backbreaker. Funk rolls away to the ropes but Credible is relentless putting the boots to the back and ribs of Terry Funk. Justin Credible pulls Funk up and Irish Whips him into the trashcan and it folds up like an accordion in the corner on impact! Funk collapses to his knees in the corner as the pain courses its way through his body and Credible delivers three solid shots with a “STOP” sign to the head of Terry Funk. Funk falls face first to the mat, he’s rolled over and Credible makes the cover. ONE…..TWO...Funk kicks out! Credible gets to his feet and removes the top turnbuckle pad from the corner along from the trashcan. Funk is too his feet but is bent over, staring at his boots. Credible tosses the pad to the outside and heads back over to Funk. Credible connects with a right hand and looks to whip Funk to the buckle but Funk reverses it, turns it round and sweeps away the legs of Justin Credible. Funk has Credible in position for a Boston Crab but instead Funk falls backwards and Credible is sling-shotted into the exposed turnbuckle! Credible staggers back out into a schoolboy roll up! ONE……TWO…Credible kicks out! Funk and Credible get to their feet and Funk takes Credible down with a small package/inside cradle! ONE…..TWO…..T-Credible kicks out! That was close!

“THAT WAS CLOSE! OH SO CLOSE TO TERRY FUNK COMING OUT VICTORIOUS!”

“WHAT ABOUT THE RESILIENCY OF JUSTIN CREDIBLE TO KICK OUT OF THAT? THAT TAKES A LOT TONY!”

“THESE TWO HAVE PUT IN A LOT OF EFFORT HERE AND I THINK WE’RE ENTERING THE FINAL QUARTER WITH THESE TWO.”

Funk is the first to his feet but Credible cuts him off with a punch to the stomach and Credible with a European Uppercut and Funk turns away. Credible comes from behind with a bulldog and Credible heads to the outside, retrieves his Singapore Cane and a steel chair and rolls back into the ring with both weapons in tow. Credible sets the chair up in an upright position in the middle of the ring and leans the Singapore Cane against the turnbuckle. Funk is dragged back to his feet by the challenger and a high back suplex sends Funk back to the mat. Credible moves the chair to where he needs it to be and lifts Funk off the mat. Credible checks his distances and sets Funk up for a Side Russian Leg Sweep but Funk with an elbow to the stomach and a second one gives Funk a seconds reprieve and he makes the most of it nailing a Diamond Cutter variation to Justin Credible! Funk scrambles over and hooks the leg. ONE……TWO…TH-Credible gets a shoulder up! Funk thought that was it there but it wasn’t. Credible just managed to get a shoulder up in time. Terry Funk can feel the victory coming here and he heads to the corner without a turnbuckle pad and rests his head against the steel for a second as Credible crawls to the opposite corner. Credible pulls himself up, cleverly hiding how he has picked up the Singapore Cane as well and Funk charges in………Credible turns and nails Funk with the cane and Funk falls back like a felled tree. Credible drops the cane and dives into a cover. ONE…….TWO……THR-Funk gets a shoulder up! We so nearly had a new champion there. Credible can’t believe he didn’t get the three count there and he’s taking the issue up with the referee. Credible backs Billy Silverman into the corner and starts to scream at him that “that was three!” Silverman shakes his head in denial and Credible raises his hand as if to hit Silverman but his arm is caught by Terry Funk. Funk spins Credible round, kick, wham, DDT! Funk with the cover! ONE…….TWO……T-Credible kicks out! Both men have come so close to winning this match!

“A BACK AND FORTH MATCH HERE! BOTH MEN GIVING IT THEIR ALL!”

“NEITHER MAN WANTS TO BE PINNED HERE. IT’S ALL ABOUT PRIDE. IT’S NOT ABOUT THE HARDCORE TITLE, THIS IS ABOUT PRIDE AND RESPECT! FUNK WANTS IT FROM CREDIBLE AND CREDIBLE DOESN’T FEEL THAT HE’S SHOWN IT BY PEOPLE LIKE FUNK!”

Terry Funk is first to his feet but he needs the assistance of the ring ropes to get up. Justin Credible rolls onto his stomach and does a push-up to his hands and knees. Funk staggers over and brings Credible to his feet. An Irish Whip sends Justin Credible to the corner but a boot to the face halts Funk’s charge in after him. Justin Credible climbs to the second rope on the inside and nails a Flying Back Elbow to Terry Funk. Funk falls to the mat again as Credible takes a deep breath and waits for Funk to get to his feet. The champion takes a long time to get to his feet even with the help of the ropes and turns to face his young challenger. Credible runs in looking for a clothesline, it’s ducked by Funk who busts a Neckbreaker out of nowhere! Funk hooks the leg loosely. ONE…….TWO……Credible gets a shoulder up. Both men get up, Credible swings with a big hook but misses and Funk slams him to the mat. Terry Funk goes up top looking for the Moonsault but he takes to long and Credible crotches him on the top turnbuckle. Funk falls back into a Tree of Woe and Credible lifts him off the turnbuckle. Credible has Funk in position for the That’s Incredible but Funk is kicking furiously and reverses it over so Funk has Credible in position. Terry Funk brings Credible down with the That’s Incredible! ONE…….TWO…..THRE-NO! Credible gets the shoulder up! Terry Funk goes up top once again! Funk comes off with the Moonsault but Credible gets his knees up! Credible gets his knees up on the Moonsault! Both men are hurting immensely here and Funk can hardly stand as Justin Credible measures him. Credible bounces off the ropes as Funk turns to him but Funk ducks a clothesline attempt and drops to one knee. Funk grabs the Singapore Cane off the canvas! Credible bounces off the far ropes and approaches Funk but Terry Funk turns and nails Justin Credible with the cane and the cane splits in two! Funk drops the newly shattered cane and makes the cover on the limp carcass of Justin Credible. ONE……..TWO……..THREE! YES! YES! YES! Terry Funk wins! The Funker survives inside the Funkin’ Conservatory!

General Rection (w/ Major Gunns) vs. “The Franchise” Shane Douglas

Rection and Douglas circle each other and lock up with Rection getting the early advantage forcing Douglas back into the corner. Rection delivers a hard chop to the chest of “The Franchise” and a second one echoes round the arena. The sickening slap of flesh to flesh is heard a third time as Rection brings another chop across the chest of Douglas but “The Franchise” connects with a knee to the stomach and tries to whip Rection across the ring, but Rection turns it into a short-arm clothesline. The General drops an elbow onto his challenger and Douglas rolls from the ring in anger, but General Rection follows him out. Douglas can’t avoid a boot to the stomach and Rection pushes him into the security railing where the usual front row dickheads cheer loudly. Several pat General Rection of the back and shoulder before “The Franchise” rolls back into the ring. Rection follows in behind with some boots to a crawling Douglas and Rection brings Douglas to his feet and plants him to the mat with a big scoop slam. Rection drops a leg and makes the cover. ONE……T-“The Franchise” kicks out. Rection drops an elbow to the forehead and a second one finds the mark. Rection brings Douglas to his feet but Douglas with a thumb to the eye and “The Franchise” takes control of the match. Shane Douglas scoops Rection up and plants him down with a scoop slam and “The Franchise” drops an elbow of his own. Shane Douglas backs into the corner and waits for Rection to get up. The General gets up and is knocked back to the canvas with a clothesline from “The Franchise”. Major Gunns bangs on the apron and tells the General to get up and throws various army insults at him in an effort to rouse him but it doesn’t seem to be working as “The Franchise” nails a suplex and rolls through into a pin. ONE…….TW-Rection kicks out.

“THIS MATCH FOR THE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP, THE SECOND BIGGEST PRIZE IN THIS COMPANY. A BELT WITH A LONG AND STORIED LINEAGE AND “THE FRANCHISE” WOULD LOVE TO BE THE NEXT IN THAT LONG LIST.”

“THE PAST CHAMPIONS ARE LIKE A WHO’S WHO OF WRESTLING. MAGNUM TA, LEX LUGER, HARLEY RACE, RIC FLAIR, RICKY STEAMBOAT, MICHAEL HAYES, BRET “HITMAN” HART.”

“AND ‘THE FRANCHISE’ HAS TAKEN PERSONAL INSULT IN THE US TITLE BEING ON GENERAL HUGH G. RECTION.”

“WELL THE US TITLE IS SEEN AS A STEPPING STONE TO THE WORLD TITLE TONY. COULD YOU SEE GENERAL RECTION AS WORLD CHAMPION SOME DAY?”

“The Franchise” pulls the champion to his feet and whips him hard to the buckle. “The Franchise” does it again to the opposite corner, letting go at the last moment for added power and General Rection collapses to the mat. Douglas pulls Rection back to his feet and backs him into the ropes. “The Franchise” looks for an Irish Whip, it’s reversed by Rection and Douglas hits the ropes. The champion puts his head down looking for a backdrop but Douglas telegraphs it perfectly and nails a Swinging Neckbreaker. Douglas makes the cover. ONE……TWO…Rection kicks out. “The Franchise” gets back to his feet and pulls Rection to his. Douglas with a snap suplex and “The Franchise” climbs to the second rope on the inside and waits for Rection to get up. The champion takes a while to get to his feet and turns right into a Double Axe Handle from the challenger. The cover. ONE……TWO….Rection gets the shoulder up. “The Franchise” thought he had him there but Rection showed his tenacity to kick out. Douglas pulls Rection to his feet and a snapmare takes Rection over. “The Franchise” delivers a stiff kick to the back of Rection and the champ lets out a scream. Douglas with a dropkick to the back of the head. Rection hits the deck and Douglas make a cover. ONE…..TWO…..Rection kicks out. “The Franchise” gives an off-hand remark to Major Gunns which provokes the big breasted one and she climbs onto the apron. Douglas sues the opportunity to choke the life out of Rection while the referee is dealing with Gunns. The Major eventually jumps off the apron after about 15 seconds, in which time Rection’s face has gone a deep shade of purple and he is now gasping for air. Douglas steps back at the insistence of the referee to allow Rection some breathing space but only for a matter of seconds before he moves in again with stomps to the stomach. Rection covers up and tries to absorb the blows but as the blows rain down it gets harder and harder. Rection kicks out at “The Franchise” and catches him with a kick to the gut. Douglas stumbles back a little as Rection pushes up onto his knees and catches Douglas with a punch to the stomach as he moves in again. Douglas grabs Rection by the hair and pulls him to his feet but Rection scrambles round behind into a waist-lock. Douglas runs to the ropes and grabs on, sending Rection into a backwards roll. Rection gets up and falls back into the ropes as Douglas runs at him but Rection backdrops “The Franchise” over the top to the floor!

“OH YEAH! GENERAL RECTION COMING BACK INTO THIS MATCH NOW AND HE JUST SENT ‘THE FRANCHISE’ FLAILING TO THE FLOOR!”

“AND HE LANDED HARD TONY!”

“CAN RECTION CAPITALISE ON THIS OPENING?”

“The Franchise” curses his luck on the outside before being dragged back into the ring by General Rection. Rection whips Douglas to the ropes and catches him with a Sleeper Hold! Rection has it locked in tight and opposed to earlier there is no way this is a choke. “The Franchise” is weakening here and drops to one knee as the crowd pops slightly. Douglas reaches out to some non-existent entity to save him here but can’t help dropping to his backside as Rection keeps the hold applied. Douglas drops off to sleep and Rection releases the hold without the referee checking the arm. General Rection sets Douglas up in the middle of the ring and climbs to the top rope, slipping on the second rope as he goes. Major Gunns is screaming encouragement as Rection checks behind him to see Douglas lying completely still and Rection takes flight with the Moonsault…………………………but “The Franchise” rolls out of the way! He was playing possum!

“’THE FRANCHISE’ MOVED! BUT HOW?!?!”

“HE WASN’T ASLEEP! THE SLEEPER DIDN’T WORK!”

“BUT WE SAW IT WORK. HOW COULD HE RECOVER THAT QUICKLY?”

“MAYBE HE WAS FAKING IT?”

Both men get to their feet and Rection stumbles in a circle before bumping into Shane Douglas. Douglas nails the Pittsburgh Plunge! Douglas nailed the Pittsburgh Plunge! “The Franchise” falls into the pinfall. ONE…….TWO……THREE! We’ve got a new champion! A new United States Champion!

Backstage we do indeed see “Mean” Gene Okerlund and he is with the entire contingent of the Magnificent Seven. Scott Steiner stands at the front of the pack with Midajah to his left, Ric Flair to his right, Bagwell and Jarrett directly behind him and Rick Steiner, Animal and Lex Luger at the very back of the pack.

“Mean” Gene Okerlund: Thanks Tony and Mike and as you said, I am indeed waiting here with The Magnificent Seven and right now I’m hoping to get some comments from the WCW World Heavyweight Champion, Scott Steiner. Now Mr. Steiner, up next you face Goldberg inside of a 15 foot high steel cage, with your WCW World Heavyweight Title on the line. Goldberg has already beaten all of your friends in the Seven, you have got to be worried!

Scott Steiner: Worried, you think I’m worried ya littul midget! I’m not worried about Goldberg. Never have been and never will be. Goldberg you think you’ve done all your talking in the ring so far but you haven’t. You’ve done half your talking in the ring and the other half has been hype from your sheep like this littul midget right here, get the hell out of my light Okerlund!

“Mean” Gene is pushed back a little out of the champions light.

“Mean” Gene Okerlund: Oh now come on, surely you know that Goldberg could take that championship belt from you tonight!

Scott Steiner: Hey Okerlund, did I say that at all? NO! I didn’t say he doesn’t have the ability to take this title belt but you see Okerlund, he won’t take this title from me because I am “Big Poppa Pump”, “The Big Bad Booty Daddy”, “The Genetic Freak”! I’m at the top of my game Okerlund, I haven’t felt as good as I feel now in years and Goldberg isn’t exactly at 100%. We’ve all seen his schedule, we’ve all seen him getting lucky win after lucky win against my friends here, but tonight he won’t get lucky, because there is an added factor Okerlund, that steel cage. 15 feet high, towering above both of us. That factor will be Goldberg’s weakness tonight and I intend to use it. Goldberg, you’re good but you’re not good enough, and tonight, I’m gonna prove it. Holla if ya hear me!

“Mean” Gene diverts his attention from the champion and focuses on the 3 “Time Crisis” participants instead.

Ric Flair: Then I’ll say it for ya “Mean” Gene, whooooooooooooo! We’ll have total control over WCW Okerlund! We’ll have the gold, we’ll have the #1 contendership and we’ll have no more trouble from that thorn in our sides Larry Zbysko! Tonight, after it’s all said and done “Mean” Gene, the Magnificent Seven, whooooooooooooo, is gonna party, long into the night here in Dallas, Texas! - CAGE MATCH MADNESS! -

Scott Steiner (w/ Midajah) vs. Goldberg

The door to the cage is closed and the latch secured. The referee on the outside signals for the bell, the timekeeper obliges and the World Title match is underway! Steiner and Goldberg circle each other and Steiner flexes his muscles at Goldberg, lightly kissing his right bicep. Goldberg rears back, lets out a primal scream and charges at the champion! Goldberg drives Steiner back into the corner and unleashes a fury of right and left hand punches to the champion, each one finding its mark on the upper torso of Scott Steiner. Steiner tries to cover up but Goldberg’s assault is too rapid. Goldberg with an Irish Whip across to the opposite corner and Goldberg follows in behind with a clothesline and Steiner is staggered! The champion stumbles out of the corner and is lifted high in a back suplex by the challenger…..and down to the canvas with a loud crash! Goldberg gets to his feet and roars to the crowd, who cheer back. Steiner pulls himself to his knees using the ring ropes and gets an earful from Midajah who has come to the far side to yell instructions are her man. Goldberg backs into the opposite corner and waits. Is he going for the Spear already? Midajah warns Steiner who turns around anyway. Goldberg starts to charge but Steiner drops to the canvas and Goldberg halts his run just before colliding with the turnbuckle. Steiner is back to his feet and rakes the eyes of Goldberg, and follows it up with a scoop slam. Scott Steiner calls for the door to be opened and he starts to walk over to it, but Goldberg grabs his foot and trips up the champion. Both men get to their feet quickly as the door slams shut behind them and the two lock up. Steiner gets the advantage with a helpful kick to the gut and backs the challenger into the corner. Steiner with a big right hand to the head and one to the abdomen as well. Steiner with a knee to the mid-section and Goldberg is whipped across the ring to the opposite corner. He hits hard and bounces back out ferociously, taking Scott Steiner to the mat with a clothesline!

“OH YEAH! GOLDBERG IS FIRED UP AND READY TO GO HERE TONIGHT!”

“SCOTT STEINER CAN’T BELIEVE WHAT HE’S SEEING HERE. THE CHAMP WAS RELYING ON THE FACT THAT GOLDBEGR WOULD BE TIRED.”

“LOOKS LIKE THAT WEEK LONG REST DID A LOT TO HELP GOLDBERG.”

Goldberg drops an elbow to the chest of the champion then pulls himself up in the corner. Goldberg is looking to climb the cage. Goldberg can hardly start to climb though before he is pulled off the steel and crashes to the mat with a thud. Steiner drops an elbow and a second elbow to the chest of Goldberg. Everything is being kept very basic here but at least Steiner is selling this offence, unlike Wednesday night. Goldberg gets to his feet and Steiner clubs him across the back with a forearm, and Steiner whips Goldberg into the corner. Steiner lumbers in after him but Goldberg grabs the champion and plants him on the canvas with a Spinebuster. Goldberg backs up against the ropes and waits for the champion to pull himself up to his feet, which he does, albeit very slowly. Steiner turns, Goldberg lunges, but his clothesline misses. Both men hit the ropes opposite one another, come back and a double clothesline sends both men to the mat!

“BOTH MEN HIT THE MAT HERE NOW. WHOEVER GETS TO HIS FEET FIRST MAY HAVE A CHANCE TO WIN THE MATCH AND THE TITLE RIGHT NOW!”

“MIDAJAH IS TRYING TO BRING HER MAN ROUND BUT THESE 17,000 FANS ARE WORKING AGAINST HER!”

Midajah on the outside stars kicking the ring apron in an effort to rouse her man but 17,000 passionate Goldberg fans do the same, stomping on the ground to bring round the challenger. The cameras zoom in close to both men and we see Steiner come round first as his eyes flicker open and the champion rolls onto his stomach, pushing himself to his hands and knees. Scott Steiner gasps for breath as Goldberg rolls onto his stomach and crawls to the ropes on the far side of the camera. Steiner backs into the corner at the bottom left of the traditional TV screen opposite Goldberg, who at top right. Midajah is right there screaming encouragement at her man. Goldberg pulls himself up in the turnbuckle and Steiner crushes him in the corner with an avalanche. Steiner brings three clubbing blows down across the back and neck of Goldberg and pushes him into the corner. Steiner tucks his head under the arm of the challenger and with one swift motion Goldberg is airborne and placed delicately on the top rope. Steiner climbs to the second rope to the left of Goldberg and drives his head into the steel three times before again tucking his head under the arm and both men go falling backwards to the mat with a spine shaking back suplex! Steiner rolls over to face the cage door and wags one finger for the referee to open the door. The referee obliges and Steiner starts to crawl the distance across the ring. Midajah is by the door screaming encouragement as Steiner gets closer and closer to the promised land, to retaining his title. Steiner reaches out at full stretch and can touch the ring apron. He’s so close as he wraps his fingers around the apron and pulls himself forward across the mat. Steiner gets his head out of the door but Goldberg has him by the ankle! Goldberg is on all fours and has a vice-grip around the right ankle of Scott Steiner and he isn’t going anywhere. The champion tries to escape by kicking at Goldberg but it’s no use and an almighty jerk pulls Steiner back into the ring and the door is closed again. Goldberg is to his feet first as Steiner begs off into the corner with his hands raised, begging the challenger not to hurt him. The pleas fall on deaf ears as Goldberg brings a big boot down into the breadbasket of the champion, and a second one sees Steiner scurrying for the cage door. The door is opened but Steiner is caught by the leg by Goldberg and turned into a Half-Boston Crab! Steiner screams in agony as he can do nothing but watch the cage door get shut directly in front of him. Goldberg stands up off the Half-Boston and pulls Steiner’s leg up with him. Steiner is almost completely vertical as Goldberg wrenches away at the knee joint and we here Steiner let out a “OH GOD STOP!” before Goldberg finally drops the hold and Steiner drags himself into the top right corner, clutching at his knee. Goldberg charges in looking for a running knee to the head, but Steiner manages to barely avoid it by rolling under the bottom rope, Goldberg hits the turnbuckle and crashes to the mat in spectacular fashion!

“OH THAT WAS CLOSE. GOLDBERG COULD HAVE CAVED IN SCOTT STEINER’S SKULL THERE, BUT THE QUICK THINKING OF THE CHAMPION SAVED HIM.”

“THESE TWO HAVE BEEN GOING FULL TILT FOR WELL OVER 10 MINUTES NOW, THE FATIGUE MUST BE SETTING IN, ESPECIALLY IN THIS ENVIRONMENT.”

“A 15 FOOT HIGH STEEL CAGE WHICH BOTH MEN HAVE USED TO THEIR ADVANTAGE.”

“AND WITH STEINER’S KNEE IN A BAD WAY, THIS MAY JUST BE GOLDBERGS’ NIGHT!”

Steiner looks at Goldberg lying motionless in the centre of the ring before trying to pull himself up. His right leg gives him an immense amount of bother but eventually the champion is to his feet and ascending to the top rope. Is Steiner going to try to climb the cage in his condition? Goldberg has gotten to his knees and looks around for Steiner, not spotting him. The challenger gets to his feet and turns into a Flying Shoulder-Block off the top rope from Steiner and both men hit the canvas again. Steiner shakes away any cobwebs and crawls to the ropes, his right leg dragging behind him. Steiner pulls himself up using the ropes and pulls up the challenger to his crown. Steiner scoops Goldberg up onto his shoulder and tries to run across the ring but his leg gives out and both men crumble to the canvas again. Goldberg is up quickly and pulls a now limping Scott Steiner to his feet. Goldberg backs Steiner into the ropes and looks for an Irish Whip, it’s reversed by Steiner and Goldberg takes to the air, tasting the steel! Goldberg stumbles back into a Side Russian Leg-Sweep from Steiner and both men are on the mat again. Goldberg rolls over onto his stomach as Steiner calls for the door to be opened. Midajah is at the door again shouting encouragement. Steiner tries to get to his feet but can’t and instead opts to crawl on all fours for the cage door. Goldberg rolls back onto his back and does sits up and Goldberg busted open after his meeting of minds with the steel! Steiner is close to the door when Goldberg collapses forward and manages to get one hand to the foot of Steiner. Steiner tries to kick him off but with each kick the pain shoots down his right leg. Goldberg manages to get a solid grip around the calf of Steiner and haul him back to the centre of the ring. Goldberg pulls Steiner up and backs him into the corner beside the now shut cage door. Goldberg goes for an Irish Whip, it’s reversed by Steiner and Goldberg hits the turnbuckle but Goldberg comes back out with a spear to Steiner! A spear to the champion!

“HE HIT IT! GOLDBERG HIT THE SPEAR! GOLDBERG HIT IT AND WHAT A SPEAR IT WAS!”

“THIS IS HIS SHOT NOW, HE HAS TO CAPITALISE ON THIS OPPORTUNITY AND GET OUT OF THE CAGE.”

“THE CHAMP IS MOTIONLESS, GOLDBERG WILL NEVER GET A BETTER CHANCE THAN THIS!”

Both men are on the deck in the middle of the ring but Goldberg is looking directly at the cage door. Goldberg starts to crawl to the door which is opened by the referee. The crowd is getting louder and louder with every inch Goldberg advances towards the door. Goldberg pulls his leg free from the tangle with Scott Steiner who is still out of it from that devastating spear. We’re going to have a new champion here! Goldberg gets to the door and starts to crawl through it, but Midajah is there with a steel chair………….Midajah brings the chair down on the skull of Goldberg! The challenger is lifeless, his upper torso hanging from the ring. The referee at the door protests with Midajah and Midajah gives him a big old Bitch Slap for his troubles! Midajah has stopped the title changing hands here and the crowd is giving her hell!

“THAT HARLET MIDAJAH! SHE….SHE JUST STOPPED THE TITLE CHANGING HANDS! THAT’S NOT RIGHT!”

“WELL…I”

“THE CAGE WAS MEANT TO KEEP HER OUT OF THE MATCH BUT SHE’S GOT INVOLVED JUST THE SAME AND SHE’S CHEATED GOLDBERG OUT OF THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE HERE.”

“SCOTT STEINER IS COMING ROUND FROM THE SPEAR! HE’S MOVING!”

In the ring Scott Steiner has come round and is to his feet, although his leg is still giving him problems. Steiner limps over to the cage door and pulls Goldberg back into the centre of the ring. Goldberg is dead on the mat but that doesn’t stop Scott Steiner. Steiner looks at the cage door and asks for it to be opened but on his way over he changes his mind and turns back to the carcass of Goldberg. Steiner hobbles back to the lifeless body of his challenger and locks in the Steiner Recliner! This is just to add further insult to injury! Steiner pulls back on the neck of Goldberg but the challenger isn’t at all there as the blood trickles down between his closed eyes. Steiner screams at the crowd in ecstasy and laughs letting the self-confidence ooze from every pore. The crowd starts to rally behind their fallen hero with loud, rapturous “GOLDBERG” chants but Steiner shakes his head to show that it won’t work, and they don’t seem to be as the challenger still lies on the mat. The chants continue and are aided by the stamping of feet and clapping on hands as well and suddenly Goldberg’s eyes flick open and the challenger springs to life! Steiner shakes his head for an altogether different reason now as Goldberg pushes himself onto his hands and knees then gets to his feet, with Steiner still hanging from his back! Goldberg backs into the corner, crushing Scott Steiner! Goldberg stumbles out the corner and falls backwards and Steiner is dropped on his back. Goldberg gets to his feet and heads for the top left corner as Steiner drags himself to the opposite corner and pulls himself up. The crowd is at a fever pitch as Steiner turns 180°. Goldberg starts his run looking for the spear, but Steiner side-steps it and Goldberg goes shoulder-first into the ring-post! Midajah is right there to rub it into the face of Goldberg before running around to the cage door again.

“GOLDBERG JUST MET THE RING-POST AND MIDAJAH IS RIGHT THERE TO RUB IT IN. SHE SHOULDN’T EVEN BE AT RINGSIDE ANY MORE. SHE’S GOT INVOLVED ONCE!”

The referees assemble round the door to stop Midajah getting involved again, but it’s all a distraction. Scott Steiner has bent down and picked up a pair of brass knuckles slid through one of the gaps in the cage! Goldberg backs out of the corner clutching his shoulder and turns………………..right into a shot with the brass knucks from Scott Steiner! Goldberg drops like a dead tree and Steiner collapses to the canvas as well. Goldberg is out of it again as Scott Steiner crawls for the door, where the referees are still arguing with Midajah. Midajah is the first to spot Steiner is heading for the door and pushes past the referees to open the cage door. Steiner crawls slowly but Goldberg is still out of it across on the other side of the ring. Steiner drapes his arms across the ring apron, then drops the rest of his body through the door to the floor! Scott Steiner wins! Midajah rushes round the ring to grab the WCW World Championship from the timekeeper as the referees raise Scott Steiner’s arm in triumph.

- THE “TIME CRISIS” TURNS OUT TO BE A TREAT -

WCW “Time Crisis” Match featuring 20 WCW superstars!

The first two men out are Mike Sanders and Jerry Lynn and they’ll start us off here now. They lock up and immediately Lynn takes Sanders over with a headlock. Sanders gets to his feet but Lynn keeps the hold on. Sanders backs into the ropes and shoots Lynn across. A shoulder block by Jerry Lynn sends Sanders to the mat and Lynn hits the ropes again. Sanders rolls onto his stomach and Lynn vaults over and hits the opposite ropes. Sanders gets to his feet as Lynn comes back, Lynn slides through the legs of Sanders, sweeping away the feet as he goes and Sanders crashes to the mat. Lynn and Sanders are both up quickly and Lynn nails a bulldog from behind and Sanders slides from the ring to regain his composure on the outside. Sanders berates a fan in the front row, taking his concentration off Jerry Lynn and Lynn capitalises with a springboard plancha over the top rope to Sanders! Lynn pulls Mike Sanders to a vertical basis and rolls the Thriller into the ring. Lynn jumps onto the apron and ascends to the top rope. Sanders gets to his feet and turns to Lynn, and Jerry Lynn comes flying off the top with a Missile Dropkick sending Sanders to the mat! Lynn gets to his feet and shouts that he is indeed the “New F’n Show” to the crowd before turning back to Mike Sanders and getting caught with a boot to the face and a Swinging Neckbreaker. Sanders pulls Jerry Lynn to his feet and goes for a suplex, it’s blocked by Lynn. A second attempt is blocked as well and Lynn counters with a snap suplex of his own. Lynn rolls the hips through and brings Sanders up and over in a second snap suplex. Lynn with a leg-drop to Sanders, who rolls from the ring on the far side as the first countdown of the “Time Crisis” begins on the TurnerTron. TEN…………NINE………..EIGHT……….SEVEN………SIX………..FIVE…………FOUR………...THREE…….TWO………ONE…..ZERO!

The next man out is “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes who hobbles to the ring. Jerry Lynn turns to face the newcomer but gets knocked to the mat by Mike Sanders from behind. Sanders stomps away at the head of Lynn as Dusty climbs the ring steps and enters the ring. Sanders keeps kicking at Lynn and doesn’t notice Rhodes coming up behind him. Sanders spins round into an elbow from Rhodes and a second one and Sander falls back into the corner. Dusty follows in with an avalanche before climbing to the second rope on the inside and delivering the ten elbows to the cranium of Mike Sanders. (1…..2……3…….4…..5…..6….7…….8…..9…….10!) Dusty dismounts and Sanders collapses to the mat again. From behind comes Jerry Lynn with a dropkick and Rhodes goes face first into the corner. Lynn nails a second dropkick to the back getting a big “ooopph” out of Rhodes and Lynn clubs Rhodes across the back with a big punch and Rhodes stumbles from one corner to another, with Lynn beating his back the whole way across. Mike Sanders comes back into the ring and he and Lynn take turns punching away at the forehead of Dusty Rhodes. Sanders takes an elbow to the head and Lynn does as well as “The American Dream” fights off both men. Sanders falls to the mat but Lynn only staggers back to the ropes and he’s sent over the top to the floor with a clothesline! Rhodes drops an elbow to the skull of Mike Sanders and pulls Sanders to his feet. Sanders goes for the ride over the top as well and he collides with Jerry Lynn! Sanders and Lynn drag themselves to their feet and start to trade punches on the outside. Dusty Rhodes climbs from the ring onto the apron and comes off with a double axe-handle sending both Sanders and Lynn to the concrete floor as the countdown begins again. TEN……NINE…….EIGHT…….SEVEN……..SIX……..FIVE……..FOUR…….THREE……..TWO………ONE…….ZERO!

#4 in the “Time Crisis” match is Buff Bagwell of the Magnificent Seven and now eliminations can occur – with Nick Patrick being the first referee to enter the ring. Dusty meets Bagwell in the aisle with punches and the two trade rights before Dusty takes control with elbows and throws Bagwell into the ring. Rhodes rolls under the bottom rope but Bagwell is up in time to take advantage with kicks to the head before Rhodes can get up. Mike Sanders and Jerry Lynn are back up on the outside and Lynn is whipped hard into the ring steps by Sanders, who then rolls into the ring. Sanders jumps Rhodes from behind as he tries to fight back against Bagwell and Bagwell and Sanders team up to Irish Whip Rhodes to the ropes. A double clothesline sends Rhodes to the mat and Sanders dives with the cover. ONE…..TW-Rhodes kicks out! Bagwell and Sanders exchange thoughts but Bagwell knocks Sanders to the mat with a clothesline and makes the cover! ONE……T-Kick out from Sanders! Jerry Lynn rolls back into the ring clutching his back as Sanders and Rhodes get to their feet. Bagwell backs into the corner and comes roaring out with a clothesline knocking Sanders back to the mat. Rhodes with an elbow and Bagwell hits the deck. Jerry Lynn takes out the knee of the Dream with a chop-block and he pounces on it, kicking at the knee joint. Lynn drags Rhodes to the ropes and comes down hard across the leg three times using the ropes to gain height. Over on the other side of the ring Sanders has pushed Bagwell into a corner and is punching away. Lynn pulls Rhodes up to his feet and the two head to the corner diagonally opposite Sanders and Bagwell. Jerry Lynn connects with a boot to the stomach and looks for an Irish Whip but it’s reversed and Lynn crashes into Sanders and Bagwell in the corner! All three men are there as Dusty Rhodes looks around at the crowd. “The American Dream” charges in with his huge frame and crushes all three men in the corner! Ouch, that had to hurt. Lynn, Sanders and Bagwell all collapse to the canvas as the countdown begins again. TEN…………NINE…….EIGHT…….SEVEN……SIX…….FIVE……FOUR……THREE……TWO…..ONE……..ZERO!

The lights dim slightly and a spotlight hits the stage to herald the arrival of Sid as #5 in the “Time Crisis”. Sid walks slowly to the ring, taking his time as Dusty Rhodes diverts his attention back to Sanders and Lynn. Sid reaches the ring as Rhodes slams Sanders down and drops an elbow. Lynn is whipped across the ring by Rhodes and eats boot courtesy of Sid. Sid with a one-footed cover on Jerry Lynn. ONE…….TW-Jerry Lynn kicks out! Dusty Rhodes pulls Mike Sanders and Buff Bagwell to their feet and delivers a big double noggin knocker! Sanders takes a tumble through the top and middle ropes to the outside but Bagwell stumbles the wrong way into a boot to the stomach from Sid. Bagwell’s head is between Sid’s thighs and he’s going for the ride as Sid nails the Jacknife Powerbomb on Buff Bagwell! Sid makes the cover! ONE…..TWO…….THREE! [buff Bagwell eliminated by pinfall in 10.02] We’ve lost out first participant! Jerry Lynn jumps on the back of Sid as Bagwell rolls from the ring to the floor. Sid reaches up and grabs the back of the neck of Jerry Lynn and over he comes to the mat with a hard bump. Sid drops a big elbow to Lynn as Rhodes heads to the outside to meet a groggy Sanders. Sanders is whipped into the security railing by Rhodes and Rhodes runs in after him…..Sanders drops to the concrete and Rhodes falls over the railing into the front row, no doubt knocking over a “stunt granny”. Oh look there’s the wink! In the ring Sid has Lynn to his feet even though the smaller man is out of it physically at the moment. Sid tucks Jerry Lynn between his legs and looks out to the crowd, who are cheering again. Jerry Lynn goes up for the ride but Mike Sanders is there in a flash with a low-blow to Sid and he Lynn wriggles free, landing on his feet as Sid hits the mat clutching his genitals. Lynn and Sanders team up to put the boots to the big man before Lynn tries for the cover. ONE…Sid powers out at one! Lynn gets up quickly and gets a running knee to the back from Sanders and Jerry Lynn topples through the ropes to the floor. Lynn and Dusty Rhodes trade punches across the security railing and Sanders kicks away at Sid on the mat as the countdown begins again. TEN……..NINE……..EIGHT…….SEVEN…….SIX…….FIVE…….FOUR…….THREE……TWO……ONE……ZERO!

We welcome our sixth entrant and our second mystery entrant as Curt Hennig returns to WCW to a big ovation from the crowd. The four others in the match at the sound of his music turn to the aisle in disbelief at who has entered and Hennig slides into the ring, taking Mike Sanders over with a hip-toss right away. Hennig drops an elbow, then avoids an elbow from Sid by sliding onto the apron. Hennig delivers a shoulder to the stomach of Sid and slingshots over the top in a sunset flip on Sid! ONE……..TWO…..Sid kicks out! That was close. Curt Hennig is on fire here. Lynn is knocked down allowing Rhodes time to clamber over the security railing and through Jerry back into the ring. Hennig knocks Lynn down with a clothesline, turns and ducks a big boot from Sid which nails Dusty Rhodes who falls back to the floor again. Sanders pulls Jerry Lynn up and the two look to charge Hennig together but Hennig drops to the mat. Both men jump over the top but Lynn takes charge, twists and sends Sanders to the corner and the NBT flies over the top to the floor! Hennig is back up and Lynn turns to face him. The two stare at each other for a moment before starting to circle the ring. They walk forward and shake hands quickly before locking up. Hennig takes Lynn over with a headlock but Lynn wriggles out and takes Hennig over with an arm-drag. Lynn bars the arm but Hennig twists it through and reverses into a hammerlock. Lynn reverses it and lifts Hennig up but Hennig rolls forward and through into an arm-drag which takes Lynn over. Lynn gets up and hits the ropes. Hennig drops to the mat and Lynn goes over. Hennig gets up just in time to catch a springboard moonsault off the second rope from Jerry Lynn! Lynn kicks his legs and manages to roll it over so Lynn has Hennig on his shoulder. Hennig slips down the back and pushes Lynn into the ropes. Lynn grabs the top rope and Hennig rolls backwards. Lynn turns as Hennig runs at him, Hennig slides through the legs and nails a dropkick to a turning Lynn! Jerry Lynn bounces into the ropes and steadies himself as Hennig charges in. Hennig jumps looking for a monkey flip, Lynn flips him away but Hennig lands on his feet off the somersault but Lynn nails a big side kick and Hennig hits the deck! Lynn with the cover. ONE…….TWO……Hennig kicks out! Sid throws Dusty Rhodes back into the ring and Mike Sanders pulls himself to his feet on the outside as the countdown kicks in again. #7 is on his way to the ring! TEN…….NINE……..EIGHT……SEVEN……SIX…….FIVE…….FOUR……THREE…TWO…..ONE……ZERO!

Next to enter the time crisis is another returning superstar, Lenny of the West Hollywood Blondes/Standard and Practices. He’s in WHB gear though which is good to see. Lenny slaps the hands of some fans and blows kisses to others before sliding into the ring and continuing to pander to the crowd. Unfortunately unbeknown to him, Sid has diverted his attention from Dusty Rhodes to Lenny and is now standing right behind the West Hollywood Blonde. Lenny turns and is caught around the throat by Sid. Lenny is going for the ride with the Chokeslam! Sid with the cover. ONE…….TWO…….THREE! [Lenny eliminated by pinfall in 15.49] That wasn’t a good return for Lenny. Sid turns from his quick victory over Lenny into a right hand from Mike Sanders and Sid stumbles back into the ropes. Sanders nails a few right hands to the jaw and chest before backing up. Sanders signals his intent for a big clothesline and backs up. Sanders is about to attack when Sid explodes out the corner, his boot raised. Sanders ducks the kick but it nails Dusty Rhodes right between the eyes! “The American Dream” was caught unawares there. Sanders crawls over into the cover. ONE……TWO……THREE! Mike Sanders capitalises on an opportunity and Rhodes is gone! [“The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes eliminated by pinfall in 16.38] Sid doesn’t take kindly to Sanders cheating him out of an elimination and Sid launches Sanders over the top rope to the floor and follows him out! We’re down to four men again as in the ring we’ve still got Lynn and Hennig who look at the two on the outside for a moment before locking up and Lynn nails a kick to the gut. Lynn with a snap suplex and a knee-drop. Lynn with a cover. ONE……TWO…Hennig kicks out at two! That was close. Lynn tries again and hooks the leg. ONE……TWO…Hennig gets a shoulder up. Lynn pulls Hennig up by the hair but gets caught with a small package! ONE….TWO…..THR-Lynn kicks out! Hennig almost got him there. Both men get to their feet but are distracted by a loud crash caused by Mike Sanders meeting the steel ring steps with authority. Lynn and Hennig circle each other but Sid is looking for fresh meat on the outside and grabs the leg of Hennig, dragging him under the bottom rope. Sid with a scoop slam on the protective mat outside the ring to Hennig! Lynn tries to catch him off-guard with a plancha over the top rope but he’s caught and Sid rams Jerry Lynn spine first into the steel ring post. Only Sid is left standing as the countdown begins again. TEN……..NINE…….EIGHT……SEVEN…….SIX…..FIVE…..FOUR……THREE……TWO……ONE…….ZERO!

The next entrant - #8 – is Chris Kanyon. Sid climbs back into the ring as Kanyon makes his way to the squared circle, but Kanyon denies an invite to enter from Sid, instead walking around the ring once before stopping where Sanders, Lynn and Hennig are lying. Kanyon pulls Mike Sanders to his feet, scoops him up and deposits in the ring. Sanders is brought back from his walk on Dream Street and can do nothing but turn into a Chokeslam from Sid! Sid makes the cover. ONE….TWO……THREE! Mike Sanders is history. [Mike Sanders eliminated by pinfall in 18.36] Kanyon tries to pull Curt Hennig to his feet but can’t in time as Sid has exited the ring and got a hold of Kanyon. Sid rolls his foe back into the ring and then pulls Lynn and Hennig up and rolls them into the ring as well. Kanyon runs over and starts kicking away at Curt Hennig but again is caught from behind by Sid and Kanyon goes for the ride with a high back suplex. Sid knocks Lynn to the mat with a boot and drops an elbow to Hennig as Sid continues his complete dominance over this match. Lynn goes for the ride into the turnbuckle from an Irish Whip and Sid follows in with a clothesline. Kanyon is whipped to the opposite corner and he too gets a clothesline for his trouble. Hennig grabs Sid from behind but gets an elbow to the head and is whipped to the ropes. Sid drops his head and Hennig goes over in a big backdrop! Lynn and Kanyon both charge Sid, Sid is wise to it and sidesteps but Kanyon is fresh enough to get an arm up and take Lynn down with a clothesline. Kanyon makes a cover. ONE……TWO…..Lynn gets a shoulder up! Hennig crawls across behind Sid and in desperation brings his clenched fist up into the lower extremities of Sid and for the second time in this match Sid’s balls take a bashing! Sid collapses to the canvas beside Hennig and Kanyon looks about, a wide grin developing on his face as he realises he is the only one of the four standing. The crowd is on the receiving end of some self fellating from Kanyon as he explains why he is the best there is but Jerry Lynn takes exception with a school-boy roll-up and Nick Patrick does a small leap before dropping to count. ONE….TW-Kanyon kicks out! Kanyon pops up quicker than Lynn and nails a dropkick to the jaw of Lynn and looks for a cover of his own. ONE……TWO…Lynn kicks out! Kanyon pulls himself back to his feet with the ropes as the countdown starts again. TEN…….NINE…….EIGHT…..SEVEN…..SIX…..FIVE…..FOUR……THREE……TWO…..ONE…ZERO!

The klaxon sounds and #9 comes through the curtain and it is the second NBT to enter the match, Sean O’Haire. Before O’Haire can even get to the ring he is involved in a shouting contest with a fan and ever the persistent fool has to be dragged away by security and then by Chris Kanyon who pulls him by the hair onto the apron. O’Haire drops to the floor again bringing Kanyon down across the top rope and Kanyon falls back to the mat as O’Haire rolls under the bottom rope. O’Haire looks on as Jerry Lynn and Curt Hennig drag Sid to the far corner and start to put the boots to the big man before pulling Chris Kanyon to his feet. O’Haire nails a DDT to Kanyon and makes the cover – counted by Charles Robinson, the second referee to enter into the match. ONE…..TWO…Kanyon kicks out! O’Haire pulls Kanyon to his feet but Kanyon with a kick to the gut and a short Irish Whip into the corner opposite from the beatdown of Sid. Kanyon nails a hard knife-edge chop bringing a “Whoooooooo! ” from the audience, a second one gets the same response and a third. O’Haire grabs Kanyon by the shoulders and turns so Kanyon is in the corner and O’Haire returns the favour with some chops of his own. Across the ring Lynn and Hennig have pulled Sid to his feet which proves to be a mistake as the big man manages to fight his way out the corner and knock both men to the canvas with a double clothesline. Hennig is first up and stumbles back against the ropes. Sid runs at him looking for a big boot but Hennig drops to the mat and Sid crotches himself on the top rope. Hennig nails a standing dropkick and Sid takes a tumble to the arena floor, and Hennig follows him out over the top thanks to Jerry Lynn! Kanyon and O’Haire are trading punches when Jerry Lynn grabs O’Haire from behind and Kanyon gets to deliver some solid right hands to the temple of Sean O’Haire. Chris Kanyon backs up looking for a big right but O’Haire pushes up off the mat and connects with a kick to the face of Kanyon and a jawbreaker to Jerry Lynn! O’Haire hooks the leg of Lynn loosely. ONE…….TWO…Lynn kicks out! On the outside Sid is having his way with Hennig, scooping him up and dropping him across the barrier with the usual annoying people in the front row whooing along. Hennig meets the steel ring steps head first twice before collapsing to the arena floor where Sid chooses to leave him and slide back into the ring as the countdown begins again. TEN………NINE……..EIGHT……..SEVEN……..SIX…….FIVE………FOUR…….THREE……TWO…….ONE……ZERO!

“Rule Brittania” hits the PA system and we welcome The British Bulldog to the “Time Crisis” match. Bulldog gets a nice response from the crowd as he comes out wrapped in the Union Flag with a smile on his face. Bulldog unclips the flag from around his neck and climbs the steps onto the ring apron. Sid is in the ring watching his every move as Lynn, Kanyon and O’Haire struggle in a three way tangle. The Bulldog enters the ring and he and Sid meet nose to nose. Sid raises his left arm into the air and flexes his fingers, looking for a Test of Strength. The Bulldog obliges and brings his right arm up. The hands lock together and the other arms perform the same task and the two push against each other. Sid gets the advantage with his height advantage and manages to focus all his strength down through his arms. The Bulldog puts up a valiant struggle but has no choice but to drop to his knees as Sid forces the knuckles back more. Behind them Kanyon and O’Haire have just double suplexed Jerry Lynn over the top rope to the floor, jockeyed for position with Kanyon ultimately flying over the top to the floor as well. The crowd start to clap in rhythm to inspire The British Bulldog and he responds coming back to his feet before stamping with both feet and the pressure is reversed and Sid drops to his knees! The Bulldog looks around to the crowd who are on their feet and gets over-confident, giving Sid time to nail a headbutt to the mid-section and free his fingers. A kick to the stomach hunches Davey Boy Smith over and Sid tucks his head between his legs. Sid raises one arm into the air before locking his hands around the Bulldog’s waist. Sid tries to bring Smith up, but Smith fights it, kicking his legs and Sid puts him back down. The Bulldog is brought up again and again fights it, the momentum switching and The Bulldog is put down again, but this time Smith carries the momentum through into a backdrop! Davey Boy falls backwards into a cover! ONE…..TWO…Sid kicks out! On the outside Chris Kanyon is the first competitor to realise this match is no disqualification and as a result nails Jerry Lynn across the back with a steel chair before nailing O’Haire over the head and sliding the chair under the bottom rope into the ring. Kanyon grabs Lynn by the hair and throws him into the squared circle and follows him in. Sid and The British Bulldog are both up but are in separate corners taking breathers. Kanyon picks up the steel chair and measures Jerry Lynn. Kanyon bangs the chair off the mat as Lynn turns to face him, Kanyon swings, misses, spins on the spot and Lynn nails a dropkick to the chair and Kanyon takes it hard! Jerry Lynn crawls into the cover as Bulldog and Sid trade punches in the corner. ONE……..TWO…..THR-Kanyon gets a shoulder up! Lynn rolls off of Kanyon to the floor for a rest before the countdown starts again. TEN…….NINE…….EIGHT…….SEVEN……SIX……FIVE……FOUR…….THREE……TWO……ONE……ZERO!

The “Time Crisis” welcomes its eleventh entrant in Lance Storm of Team Canada who comes to the ring waving the Canadian flag, so now we’ve got the Maple Leaf and Union Flag at ringside. Now all we need is a guy with Old Glory and one with a Communist flag and we’ll have a Full House. Storm slides under the bottom rope and crawls right over to Chris Kanyon, hooking the leg. ONE…….TWO….Kanyon kicks out! Storm gets to his feet and pulls Kanyon to his as Sean O’Haire grabs at the bottom rope to pull himself up on the outside. Storm nails a kick to the stomach, and a second and a third and Kanyon is backed into a corner with Storm keeping the kicks coming. Sean O’Haire gets onto the apron and stands up, Sean O’Haire is bleeding! He’s busted open from that chair shot! Storm whips Kanyon into the ropes and Kanyon and O’Haire collide sending O’Haire flying off and into the security railing! Kanyon stumble in a big circle eventually meeting Lance Storm again and Storm sweeps away the legs of Chris Kanyon, locking in the Canadian Mapleleaf in the centre of the ring! Sean O’Haire and Curt Hennig have bumped into each other on their respective concussion guided journeys around the ring and O’Haire suplexes Hennig on the floor! Storm still has Kanyon in the Mapleleaf but The British Bulldog has bounced off the ropes in front of Storm and takes off his head with a clothesline and Storm doubles over himself backwards. The Bulldog makes a cover on Storm. ONE…..TW-Storm gets a shoulder up! Kanyon starts to crawl to the bottom rope but as he reaches out to grab the ropes Sid steps on his hand stopping him, and Sid drops a leg across the back of the neck! Sean O’Haire rolls back into the ring, blood still slowly flowing from the cut on his head and he bumps immediately into The British Bulldog who scoops him up and slams him down hard on the mat. O’Haire gets back to his feet and swings wildly and unsuccessfully at the Bulldog. O’Haire leaves an opening and Smith capitalises stepping inside O’Haire’s range and nailing a big Spinebuster! Lance Storm is back up and pulls away The Bulldog from behind, clubbing away at the back. Storm connects with a big right and Bulldog turns away only to be caught by O’Haire who holds The Bulldog steady as Lance Storm hops on one foot. Storm moves in looking for a Superkick, The Bulldog breaks free, drops to the mat and Storm nails Sean O’Haire! Storm makes the cover. ONE……..TWO……THREE! Sean O’Haire is out of here! [sean O’Haire eliminated by pinfall in 29.14] Storm has no time to celebrate though as he himself is scooped up by The British Bulldog and drilled to the mat with the Running Powerslam! The crowd pops as Davey Boy makes the cover. ONE……TWO……THRE-Storm gets a foot on the ropes! Lance Storm rolls back to the floor as the countdown begins again. TEN……..NINE……EIGHT…….SEVEN……..SIX…….FIVE…..FOUR……THREE……TWO…….ONE……ZERO!

We all better get ready to start diggin’ it as #12 into the match is former WCW World Champion and fan favourite Booker T. Booker delivers a right hand to Lance Storm on the outside and rolls him back into the ring when he’s scooped up and slammed by The British Bulldog. Booker T rolls into the ring, bounces back into the ropes and charges at Sid. Booker T ducks a clothesline, hits the ropes, ducks a backwards elbow, hits the ropes for a third time and nails a big kick to the head of Sid! The ring is filling up now as Curt Hennig rolls back into the ring and Jerry Lynn gets involved in the action again. All seven entrants are in the ring now with the third referee – Billy Silverman – getting ready to enter if needed. Jerry Lynn and Curt Hennig lock up with Lynn pushing Hennig back into the closest corner and chopping him hard bringing the usual Flair impersonations from the crowd. Sid brings a clubbing fist down across the forehead of Booker T who stumbles away with Sid in pursuit and Lance Storm and Chris Kanyon work together to put a beating to The British Bulldog. The Bulldog is thrown over the top to the floor and Storm follows him out while Kanyon looks around like a lost puppy. Billy Silverman jumps down from the apron no longer being needed for now and Kanyon settles on interrupting the Lynn/Hennig chop-a-thon in the far corner. Sid gives Booker T an old fashioned Beale Toss across the ring and follows in with an Avalanche, squashing poor Booker in the corner. Kanyon pulls Hennig off of Lynn but gets a chop for his troubles. Kanyon chops Hennig and Lynn chops Kanyon. Hennig chops Lynn, Lynn chops Kanyon and Kanyon chops Hennig. The three go round in circles, each chop getting harder and echoing for longer around the arena before Chris Kanyon is the first to buckle and stumble backwards. Lynn turns his attentions to Hennig and the two start chopping away with Hennig getting the advantage taking Lynn back into the corner but a dropkick to the back by Kanyon sees Hennig and Lynn collide. Hennig stumbles out of the corner into a roll-up! ONE……TWO……THR-NO! A kickout! The timekeepers table has been hastily evacuated on the outside as Lance Storm and The British Bulldog approach and The Bulldog sends Storm face first into the table! A second time for Storm meeting the table but the Canadian comes back and clocks The British Bulldog in the head with the ring bell and The Bulldog goes down! Storm drops the ring bell to the floor with a clang and stumbles around the ring to the far side nearest the aisle. Storm climbs onto the apron and is brought in the hard way over the top by Jerry Lynn. Hennig and Kanyon are in one corner, Sid and Booker T are in another and Storm and Lynn go to a third corner. Hennig, Sid and Lynn are in control and all three get the same thought. Simultaneous Irish Whips follow but Lance Storm reverses his and comes back on it, catching Lynn and taking him over into a Northern Lights Suplex! ONE……..TWO……THREE! Well he put up an incredible fight but it just wasn’t to be. [Jerry Lynn eliminated by pinfall in 32.02] Jerry Lynn rolls from the ring to a nice round of applause from the crowd for his stamina as Lance Storm savours a second elimination. Storm collapses back to the corner and crashes onto his backside for a breather as Booker T finally gets an advantage over the big man and takes advantage with a Scissors Kick! A cover from Booker T, Nick Patrick is there. ONE……TWO…..THR-Sid gets the shoulder up! That was close. Sid must be tired, he’s been in there a while as well. The British Bulldog pulls himself back into the ring, a large red imprint where the bell left its mark on him. Lance Storm gets to his feet with the help of the ropes and stumbles over to The Bulldog. Storm starts to deliver kicks to the ribs and kidneys of Davey Boy who is too out of it to fight back. Storm rolls him over. ONE…….TWO…..THRE-The Bulldog gets the shoulder up! We’re ready to begin another countdown, who’ll be entering the “Time Crisis” this time? Join me in welcoming the thirteenth entrant, unlucky for some but this man will certainly hope Lady Luck is with him tonight, it’s Chuck Palumbo. Palumbo comes out to a mixed reaction with some cheers and some boos. (Is he still with the NBT or not?) Palumbo enters the fray and goes right for a very angry and fired up Sid, who pushes Booker T away and grabs Chuck Palumbo by the throat with both hands. Palumbo takes flight back into the corner thanks to a big old display of power from Sid and Sid follows in with elbow/knee combinations to the head and stomach of Chuck Palumbo. Palumbo scoots out from a Sid elbow and nails a dropkick to the knee of the big man before sliding from the ring for a rest on the outside……but what’s this? A fan [in an oh-so-obvious disguise] in the front row behind Palumbo just stood up and grabbed his chair…..Palumbo takes a chairshot to the back of the head from the fan! WHAT THE HELL?!?! The fan jumps the barricade and takes off his disguise. It’s Mark Jindrak! Mark Jindrak! Jindrak yells at Palumbo to get up as he shuffles from side to side, alá Shane McMahon. Palumbo feels the back of his head as he pulls himself up and turns to Jindrak again. Jindrak throws the chair at Palumbo who catches it and Jindrak nails a big Superkick through the chair to the skull of Chuck Palumbo! Palumbo is out of it as Jindrak muscles him back into the ring and runs off again through the crowd. Lance Storm, never one to miss an opportunity, breaks off from The Bulldog and locks in the Texas Mapleleaf on Chuck Palumbo. Referee Charles Robinson dives in to check on Chuck Palumbo who is completely and utterly out of it. With no other option Charles Robinson signals for the bell. That attack by Mark Jindrak cost Chuck Palumbo this opportunity! [Chuck Palumbo eliminated through referee’s decision in 34.56] Storm breaks the hold and raises his arms in triumph at scoring another elimination before being caught off guard by a desperate attack from The British Bulldog, but although the clothesline sends Storm to the mat The Bulldog collapses to the mat as well. Davey Boy Smith breathes heavily, his chest heaving as he lies on his back helpless. Storm drapes an arm across the chest. ONE…….TWO……THRE-Smith gets a foot on the ropes! The British Bulldog does not know when to quit. He needs to go to the hospital! Sid interrupts Hennig and Booker T slugging it out and looks for a double noggin knocker but it’s blocked by both men who nail elbows to the stomach of Sid and nail a Double DDT to the big man! Booker T makes the cover! Nick Patrick is slow to react. ONE………TWO……THR-Sid gets a shoulder up! Booker pushes himself to his knees and shouts at Nick Patrick to get his ass in gear but leaves himself open to a Shining Wizard from Chris Kanyon! Kanyon rolls Booker onto his back and makes the cover! Nick Patrick with a count a little faster than usual! ONE…..TWO…THR-Booker kicks out! That was close. Kanyon pounds on the mat in frustration as Curt Hennig pulls Sid to his feet and nails a Side Russian Leg Sweep. Kanyon gets to his feet and looks around, his eyes being drawn to the TurnerTron as the countdown clock begins again. TEN……NINE……EIGHT……SEVEN……SIX……FIVE…..FOUR……THREE……TWO…..ONE…..ZERO!

Lodi of the West Hollywood Blondes comes running through the curtain, a large grin across his face. In a split screen mode we see the reaction of Chris Kanyon and Lance Storm to the next entrant which are matching reactions of disbelief. Lodi enters the ring and stops in the centre as all the other participants surround him. Lodi looks around then charges for Sid! Big mistake as Sid grabs him by the throat and Lodi goes for the ride with a Chokeslam! Lodi crashes with a thud but Sid isn’t finished, grabbing Lodi by the throat and lifting him up again. Lodi is kicking but having no effect and feels the effects of a second Chokeslam! Sid makes the cover as the others still watch. ONE……..TWO……THREE! Ouch. [Lodi eliminated by pinfall in 36.33] Sid screams at the others for another challenger but as they look around at one another, no one accepts the invite until Chris Kanyon pushes The British Bulldog towards Sid! Sid grabs The Bulldog by the throat but drops him to the mat and goes after Kanyon, who hightails it from the ring! Sid reaches over the top at Kanyon but can’t quite get him and is caught from behind with a third low blow of the match by Lance Storm. Sid really needs to wear a cup. Kanyon grabs the Canadian flag and cracks it over Sid who is hanging over the middle rope. Kanyon looks to bring the flag down again but Lance Storm connects with a Baseball Slide and Kanyon is sent over the railing into the front row! Storm slides out of the ring and rolls up the Canadian flag before leaning it back against the apron and pulling Kanyon back over the railing. In the ring all hell has broken loose again as The Bulldog, Hennig and Booker T attack Sid and work with their 3 on 1 advantage to pound Sid in the corner. The British Bulldog walks away to the opposite corner to let Hennig and Booker keep up the attack but it’s a mistake as Sid manages to fight back and fight back with two headbutts to Booker T and a hard punch to the gut of Curt Hennig. The Bulldog runs in but is stopped by a boot. Sid hits the ropes and knocks The Bulldog through the ropes to the floor with a clothesline. Sid gives Hennig a kick to the stomach which causes him to hunch over before going after The British Bulldog giving Booker T an opportunity and he takes it, bounding off the ropes and nailing a Scissors Kick to Curt Hennig! Booker T makes the cover. ONE…….TWO…….THREE! Booker T scores an elimination. Booker stumbles backwards falling on his ass as Curt Hennig is pulled from the ring by Billy Silverman and Rudy Charles. [Curt Hennig eliminated by pinfall in 38.08] Sid whips The British Bulldog into the ring steps causing them to come loose and crash land several feet away as Lance Storm rolls Chris Kanyon back into the ring on the far side. Booker T turns round and nails a Scissors Kick as Kanyon is getting back to his feet! Booker doesn’t get a chance to go for a cover as Lance Storm intervenes with a thumb to the eye as the countdown clock begins again. TEN…….NINE…….EIGHT……..SEVEN…….SIX…….FIVE……FOUR……THREE……TWO…..ONE……ZERO!

“Whooooooooooooo!” “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair is the next man to come through the curtain in all his glory at #15 and what a shot he has here. Flair takes his time heading to the ring turning in circles to look at all 17,000+ fans in the arena. (Been a while since they’ve seen 17,000 people at a show) Flair drops his robe in the aisle and saunters to the ring, stylin’ and profilin’ the whole way, letting out the occasional “Whooooo!” Flair climbs into the ring and knocks Lance Storm to the mat with a right hand and a second one after Storm popped back up quickly and Flair takes Storm down with a drop-toe hold. Flair drops an elbow to Storm and struts across the ring before letting out another big “Whoooooo!” On the outside Sid and The British Bulldog are reliving their glory feud of 1992 as they duke it out, slugging away with rights and lefts to each other all broken up with an occasional kick or knee to the stomach. Booker T is back to his feet and he engages “The Nature Boy” in a chopping battle with Flair getting the upper hand and knocking Booker T over the top to the arena floor with a big chop! Chris Kanyon gets back to his feet and heads out of the ring after Booker T and Kanyon rolls the former champion back into the ring and crawls in into a cover. ONE……TWO…...Booker T kicks out! Lance Storm is back up and looks for a Superkick to Flair but the foot is caught and Flair sweeps away the free leg of Lance Storm. Flair spins an arm in the air and looks for the Figure Four! Storm though is wise to it and kicks Flair away as he spins, sending “The Nature Boy” into the turnbuckle. Flair crashes in chest first Hitman style and stumbles back out into a German Suplex from Lance Storm. Chris Kanyon tries for an Irish Whip on Booker T but it’s reversed and Kanyon meets the turnbuckles hard. Booker T tries to follow in but Kanyon sidesteps it and Booker’s attempts at a shoulder tackle doesn’t pay off as Booker meets the steel ring-post! Kanyon pulls Booker T out of the corner into a schoolboy roll-up. ONE……TWO……THRE-Booker kicks out at the last millisecond! That was so damn close! Sid and The British Bulldog bring their brawl back into the ring and brawl around all four corners, checking which is most habitable before settling in the bottom left hand corner from the camera with Sid bringing big slaps down across the chest of The Bulldog. After every slap Smith fights back with a kick to the stomach and the two trade blows. Behind them Flair has knocked Chris Kanyon to the mat and has been knocked down himself by Lance Storm with a sidekick. Storm in turn is grabbed from behind by Booker T, but Storm brings his leg back up into the nether regions of Booker T and storm spins round nailing a DDT on Booker T! Storm hooks the leg. ONE…..TWO…..TH-Booker kicks out! Booker T isn’t having a good time of it out there right now, he’s the target of everyone it seems. The British Bulldog hits the canvas from a big hiptoss as the clock appears again and we get ready to welcome another participant. The ring is starting to fill up now. TEN……..NINE……EIGHT……SEVEN……SIX……FIVE…….FOUR…….THREE…..TWO…….ONE…..ZERO!

#16 is Dustin Rhodes so join me in welcoming him to the match. Wilkommen, bienvenue, welcome! Okay that’s over and done with. Rhodes slides under the bottom rope and immediately goes after “The Nature Boy”. Rhodes grabs Flair by the hair and throws him into the corner. Rhodes starts to chop away at Naitch, with each chop getting a bigger and bigger “Whoooo!” Flair grabs Rhodes mid chop and turns it so Rhodes is in the corner and Flair starts to chop away at Rhodes. “Whooooo!”, “Whooooo!”, “Whooooo!”, “Whooooo!”, “Whooooo!” Rhodes turns it round again and starts to chop away to the crowds delight with about 20 chops before stopping. Flair stumbles out of the corner into the Flair Flop! Rhodes is grabbed from behind by Chris Kanyon and whipped into the same buckle Flair has just come out of. Kanyon charges in but Rhodes gets a foot up to the face and Kanyon is stopped in his tracks. Rhodes whips Kanyon to the opposite turnbuckle but Kanyon loses his footing, drops to the mat and slides crotch first into the ring post! The crowd feel his pain and so does Rhodes who grimaces before Lance Storm comes from nowhere with a chop-block to the knee of Rhodes who crumbles to the mat with a thud. Storm swarms over the affected knee, bringing down kicks to the joint. Storm keeps kicking making a loud thumping on the canvas which draws attention away from Booker T and Sid going through the motions in the far corner. The British Bulldog has slid from the ring for a breather and Ric Flair has retreated into a corner to watch the carnage unfold. Storm drops a leg across the knee of Rhodes and a drop-toe hold by Storm on a charging Sid results in further agony as the giant comes down across the leg. Storm mounts Rhodes and starts punching away with rights and lefts as Rhodes lies helpless. Flair has pulled himself up although he still is in the corner away from the action, but not for long as The British Bulldog pulls him from the ring to the outside and connects with a big right hand and Flair stumbles away with The Bulldog in hot pursuit. In the ring Booker T just nailed a big spin kick out of nowhere to Sid before falling over himself. The Booker Man makes the cover, hooking the leg. ONE…..TWO…..THR-Sid kicks out! Lance Storm is knocked off of Dustin Rhodes thanks to a stray right foot from Booker T and Rhodes rolls out of the ring to the floor to recuperate and catch his breath. Chris Kanyon struggles to his feet clutching his groin and stumbles over to the side, collapsing against the ropes to hold himself up. The British Bulldog throws Ric Flair into the security barrier on the outside but gets caught with a boot as The Bulldog runs in. Flair picks up a chair as Davey Boy turns away and nails Smith across the back with the chair! The British Bulldog falls to the floor as the countdown starts again. TEN…..NINE……EIGHT……SEVEN…….SIX…….FIVE…….FOUR……THREE……TWO……ONE…..ZERO!

Dustin Rhodes rolls into the ring as Jeff Jarrett enters the “Time Crisis” at #17 – complete with guitar. Jarrett rolls into the ring as Rhodes gets to his feet – trying to keep his weight off the damaged leg. Jarrett takes Rhodes by surprise and nails The Stroke out of nowhere! Rhodes didn’t see it coming. ONE………TWO……THREE! Jeff Jarrett makes an immediate impact! [Dustin Rhodes eliminated by pinfall in 45.21] Rhodes rolls from the ring as Jarrett helps his stablemate Ric Flair back into the ring after his altercation with The British Bulldog on the outside. Jarrett and Flair work together to throw Booker T over the top to the floor and Jarrett follows him out leaving Flair in the ring. Booker meets the railing head first and is thrown into the ring steps by Jarrett, who follows in with a knee to the head. The five men in the squared circle (Sid, Chris Kanyon, Ric Flair, Lance Storm and the returning British Bulldog) break away from each other and rest against the ropes. Sid has been in the ring for nearly 40 minutes now and he’s definitely feeling the effects as he gasps in air. The first to make a move is Chris Kanyon who goes after The British Bulldog, with Ric Flair and Lance Storm doubling up to attack Sid. The Bulldog catches Kanyon as he looks for a cross body and spins round into a Powerslam! He makes the cover on Kanyon! ONE……TWO…..TH-Kanyon kicks out! Sid tries valiantly to repel the attack from Flair and Storm but the numbers game and the fatigue is setting in and Sid can’t fight back as Flair and Storm take turns to beat him down in the corner. On the outside Booker T is fighting back against Jarrett with punches to the mid-section and Booker T drives Jeff Jarrett into the timekeeper’s table! Booker grabs a chair and drives it into the stomach of “The Chosen One” and a shot to the head for good measure and Jarrett is down! Booker T pulls himself up by the ring apron and brings a third shot down across the back of Jeff Jarrett before rolling into the ring, leaving the chair on the outside. Lance Storm turns away from Sid and meets Booker as he rolls into the ring with a boot to the head and Booker crumbles back into the corner. Storm follows in with some mud-hole stomping to the chest and Booker turns away as the countdown begins again, the crowd helping it along. TEN……NINE…….EIGHT……SEVEN……SIX……FIVE……FOUR…..THREE……TWO……ONE……ZERO!

The eighteenth entrant sees one of the favourites enter as Lance Storm gets some backup in the shape of Mike Awesome. Awesome jogs to the ring and rolls in under the bottom rope. Awesome spins round Chris Kanyon and nails a Spinebuster! A boot to the stomach of Ric Flair is followed by a big clothesline to The British Bulldog! Chris Kanyon runs at Awesome and is caught with a Powerslam! Jeff Jarrett slides back into the ring with the steel chair and looks to nail Awesome from behind, but the Team Canada member is wise to it and turns with a big right hand punch through the chair to Jarrett! Awesome throws Ric Flair over the top to the floor and screams at the fans, who respond by cheering. But not for Mike Awesome………Sid is standing behind him. Awesome turns and the two meet face to face. The two start talking trash to each other and then they go at it! Sid and Awesome trade punches with Awesome getting the better of it and Sid is backed up into the ropes. Awesome whips Sid across the ring, Sid bounces off the ropes and the tow meet in a shoulder tackle, with neither man moving an inch! Awesome and Sid start punching away again, this time Sid gets the better of it. Sid with an Irish Whip, reversed by Awesome. Sid bounces off the ropes, ducks a clothesline, bounces off the ropes again and Awesome nails a Sit-Out Spinebuster! Awesome with a cover. ONE……TWO…..THR-Sid kicks out! Across the ring Booker T is getting the better of Lance Storm but Mike Awesome spots it and aides his stablemate. Booker T is grabbed from behind and Storm lines up a big Superkick. Storm looks to strike but it’s ducked by Booker T and it connects with Mike Awesome! Storm can’t believe what he’s done and crouches over to check on Awesome…..Booker T with a Scissors Kick to Lance Storm! The cover! ONE……TWO….THRE-Mike Awesome pulls Booker T off, breaking the count! That was so close. We’ve got eight men in and around the ring battling for the ultimate prize and still have two more men to enter. The British Bulldog is up and nails a big right hand to Mike Awesome and he backs the Canadian into the corner. Bulldog connects with some knees to the stomach and sidesteps an attack from Lance Storm, sending Storm into Awesome. Storm falls backwards and Awesome drops forwards and we get the inadvertent headbutt to the groin spot! I love that spot. Storm clutches at his genitals as he rolls to the outside and The Bulldog goes on his merry way. Ric Flair pulls Lance Storm to his feet on the outside only to nail a low blow to Storm adding further insult to injury. In the ring Chris Kanyon has locked up with the Bulldog but got brought up in a vertical suplex for his troubles. The Bulldog holds Kanyon up letting the blood rush to the head but turns into a big kick to the face from Sid. Davey Boy Smith falls backwards and he and Kanyon come down to the mat hard! Flair slides back into the ring and crawls over into a cover on Chris Kanyon. ONE……TWO……THR-Kanyon gets a shoulder up! Flair crawls to The British Bulldog and tries again. ONE…TWO…..THR-Davey Boy gets a shoulder up! Sid swings for “The Nature Boy” but misses and gets blasted with a shot from a steel chair from Jeff Jarrett! Jarrett drops the chair and makes a cover. ONE……TWO…..THRE-Sid gets a shoulder up! How close can you get? Sid rolls from the ring in pain. Everything is happening so quickly here now. TEN…….NINE…….EIGHT……SEVEN……SIX……FIVE…….FOUR…..THREE……TWO…..ONE…..ZERO!

“Somebody call ma momma!” rings through the PA system and Ernest “The Cat” Miller dances his way out from behind the curtain to the ring as the crowd sits in a bored silence. Miller dances his way into the ring – as Storm and Flair enter normally and turns right into a Superkick from Lance Storm! Lance Storm makes the cover. ONE…..TWO…..THREE! That was even quicker than Lodi’s elimination! [Ernest “The Cat” Miller eliminated by pinfall in 51.29] Lance Storm turns round and gets scooped up by The British Bulldog! Davey Boy Smith with a Running Powerslam to Lance Storm! The cover! ONE……TWO…..THREE! Lance Storm is outta here! [Lance Storm eliminated by pinfall in 51.40] The British Bulldog salutes the cheering crowd, but doesn’t notice Mike Awesome behind him. Davey Boy turns into a kick to the stomach from Mike Awesome and an Awesome Bomb sends The Bulldog to the canvas. Mike Awesome goes for the pin. ONE……TWO……THREE! The eliminations are coming thick and fast here now. [The British Bulldog eliminated by pinfall in 51.58] Chris Kanyon staggers to his feet and bumps into Mike Awesome. Kick, tuck, Awesome Bomb! Mike Awesome makes the cover! ONE…….TWO……THR-Kanyon gets a foot to the ropes. Awesome gets angry and pushes Nick Patrick through the ropes to the floor. Billy Silverman tries to get into the ring and take over but gets knocked off the apron. Awesome turns round right into a Chokeslam from Sid! Sid makes the cover hooking the leg. ONE……TWO……THREE! Mike Awesome gets his just desserts. [Mike Awesome eliminated by pinfall in 52.20] We’re down the five men in the ring with one still to enter. One of these six men will meet Scott Steiner at some point in the future for the World Heavyweight Championship. Sid had been on a rampage and tired himself out but seems to now have gotten a second wind as he squashes Jeff Jarrett in the corner with an avalanche and catches Flair with a kick to the face. Booker T and Chris Kanyon are trying to catch their breath but Sid brings them both into the action, whipping Booker to one corner and Kanyon to the opposite. Flair is whipped to the one free corner by Sid who stands alone in the middle of the ring, four WCW superstars slumped in the corners around him. Sid hits all four corners with clotheslines, going clockwise through Flair, Kanyon, Jarrett and Booker T. The four stumble out of their corners slowly. Flair does the Flair Flop for the second time, Jarrett falls through the ropes to the floor, Booker T and Kanyon bump into each other in the middle of the ring and turn to Sid who knocks both down with a clothesline. Jeff Jarrett has grabbed the ring bell from the timekeeper and has ignored the pleas of Rudy Charles to drop it, rolling into the ring. Sid turns and is nailed between the eyes with the ring bell! Jarrett makes the cover! ONE…….TWO……THREE! Sid is gone but it took a shot with the ring bell to get the job done! [sid eliminated by pinfall in 53.41] Jarrett falls back into the corner as the countdown clock begins again and the crowd get ready to welcome the twentieth entrant. TEN……NINE…….EIGHT……SEVEN……SIX…….FIVE…..FOUR……THREE…..TWO…..ONE…...ZERO!

The 17,000 in attendance rise to their feet as Sting comes through the curtain and soaks in the cheers of the fans. Sting heads to the ring as Sid rolls from the ring to the arena floor where he is attended to by Rudy Charles. Sting slides into the ring and goes right for Ric Flair dragging him into the turnbuckle and chopping away on “The Nature Boy”. On the outside Sid has got to his feet and grabbed a steel chair. Jeff Jarrett and Chris Kanyon are duking it out on the far side of the ring and Sid climbs onto the apron. Jarrett receives a big right from Kanyon and spins away, with Kanyon following, right into the path of Sid. Sid swings the chair, Jarrett ducks and Sid nails Kanyon! Sid nails Kanyon! Jarrett turns back again and Sid throws the chair into the face of “The Chosen One” – who falls on top of Kanyon - before being convinced to leave by referees. One of the referees with Sid spots the cover on Kanyon! ONE……..TWO…….THREE! Sid has made a big mistake and it cost Kanyon! [Chris Kanyon eliminated by pinfall in 55.00] Kanyon is pulled from the ring by referees which rouses Jarrett from his slumber. “The Chosen One” pushes himself to his hands and knees as Booker T bounces off the ropes coming directly at him. Booker T leapfrogs Jarrett who collapses back to the mat again as Booker hits the opposite ropes. Jarrett tries to get up and gets a Scissors Kick to the back of the head for his trouble. Booker T rolls into a cover, hooking the leg. ONE…….TWO…….THREE! Jeff Jarrett is outta here! [“The Chosen One” Jeff Jarrett eliminated by pinfall in 55.27] We are down to three men! The winner of the very first “Time Crisis” match will either be Booker T, Sting or Ric Flair! Sting whips Flair to the opposite corner and Flair flips over the top to the apron, runs along and climbs to the top rope. Flair comes off looking for a double axe handle but gets caught with a punch to the stomach by Sting and Flair hits the canvas. Booker T drives Sting back into the corner with a shoulder tackle and starts to chop at the chest of the Stinger. Booker T lifts Sting onto the top rope and climbs to the second rope on the inside himself. Booker T hooks the head of Sting and brings them both backwards in a Superplex which shakes the ring. “The Nature Boy” – ever the opportunist – covers Sting! ONE……TW-Sting kicks out! Flair tries again, hooking the leg this time. ONE……TWO…Sting kicks out! Flair gets to his feet and wanders over to Booker T. Flair bends down to pick Booker T up but Booker rolls him up in a small package! ONE………..TWO……..THRE-Flair grabs the tights and carries the momentum over! Flair has Booker T in the small package now! ONE…….TWO……THREE! We’re down to two! [booker T eliminated by pinfall in 57.15]

Two men remain in the “Time Crisis” match. Two foes who have clashed so many times are now the two remaining with the ultimate prize on the line. Sting and Ric Flair remain in this match. The two back into opposite corners and look around at the crowd, who are at a fever pitch. The two men step out of their corners as Nick Patrick climbs back into the ring to take over refereeing duties from the exhausted Charles Robinson and Randy Anderson. Flair and Sting circle each other before locking up. Sting being the fresher man takes control and knocks Flair into the ropes with a big right. Sting whips Flair to the ropes and Flair comes back across. Sting drops his head for a backdrop but Flair brings Sting own across his knee with a jawbreaker. Flair makes the cover! ONE……TWO…Sting kicks out! Flair thought that was it there and so did the crowd as they let out a collective sigh. Flair shakes his head to clear the cobwebs and struggles to his feet. Flair backs into the corner and catches his breath as Sting gets to his feet in the middle of the ring. Flair looks to take Sting to the mat with a running attack but Sting sidesteps it, and uses Flair’s own momentum to whip Naitch into the buckle. Sting takes a deep breath and runs in with the Stinger Splash! Flair stumbles out of the corner and has his legs swept away from him. Sting slips his leg through, crosses Flair’s legs over themselves and turns it all over into the Scorpion Deathlock! Sting has Flair in the Scorpion Deathlock! Will Flair tap?!?! Can he hold on or will it be Steiner vs. Sting for the World Heavyweight Title?!?! He’s got to tap surely, he has to, the pain must be excruciating! Flair is shaking his head at Nick Patrick telling him he won’t be quitting but Sting cinches back more and Flair screams directly from the diaphragm! Flair can’t reach the ropes he’s too far away! He’s got to tap! He has too! Sting starts to nod his head thinking he’s got the match won but Flair thinks back to Bret vs. Owen and the one time it was shown how to reverse the hold. Flair flails his arms wildly trying to reach round to the leg of Sting. He gets within inches but he needs to go closer. Sting pulls up on the hold some more which proves to be a mistake as Flair grabs the ankle of Sting and yanks it out from under him and Sting hits the canvas! Flair drops to the mat as well from his position in a push up but isn’t completely out of it as he fiddles with the legs of himself and Sting. Flair rolls over and Sting is forced over as well into the Figure Four! Flair reversed the Deathlock then locked on the Figure Four and now it is Sting who is caught in the middle of the ring! Nick Patrick is right there to check on Sting but being as fresh as he is Sting isn’t going to give up easily and sits up as far as he can and reaches out, trying to catch Flair with a punch or a slap, but Naitch is keeping out of reach. Sting pushes up off the mat with his hands and advances half a yard to the ropes, and he does it a second time! Sting falls back to the mat the pain getting to him and looks to reverse the hold. Sting tries rolling to his left, then to his right and to his left again but Flair is holding it steady and Sting pulls himself along another half yard to the ropes. Sting is so close to the ropes now as Flair tries to stop him reaching them, but Sting won’t give up and slides another half yard before collapsing back into the bottom rope! Sting survived. Nick Patrick gives Flair a five count to break the hold. (1…….2…….3……4…Hold broken)

Both Flair and Sting lie on the mat taking deep breath after deep breath, trying to get much needed oxygen around the body but Nick Patrick stops their recuperating with a KO count on both men. (1………2…..Flair realises what is happening…….3………4……Sting tries to grab the middle rope…….5……..6…….7…..Flair gets to his knees……..8……Sting falls back to the mat……9……Flair lunges to Sting and makes a cover!) ONE……..TWO……THRE-NO! NO! NO! At the last second Sting got a shoulder up! Sting rolls from the ring and falls to the arena floor with a dull thud as Flair lies back on the mat, the crowd in a frenzy. Flair is consulted by Nick Patrick on his condition before rolling to the outside and trying to find his feet. Flair pulls his nemesis to his feet and drives the Stinger back first into the ring apron, once, twice, three times and Sting drops to his knees. Flair pulls Sting to his feet letting out a deep breath as he does. Flair looks for an Irish Whip, it’s reversed and “The Nature Boy” goes face first into the steel ring post with a sickening clang! Sting can’t keep on his feet and falls to the floor as well as the crowd cheer. Both Flair and Sting have been through hell here and it isn’t letting up as the two clutch at the ring apron and try to pull themselves back into the ring. As Flair comes to eye level with the canvas we can see he’s busted open and bleeding from the collision with the ringpost. Flair drags himself into the ring at a snails pace and rolls onto his stomach to prevent a pin, but Sting is in no condition to even think about a pin as he too hauls himself into the squared circle once again. Flair looks across at Sting who is on his back and crawls across, draping an arm across the lifeless body of the Stinger. Nick Patrick drops to the mat but the fatigue has set in on the referee as well. ONE………..TWO………THR-Sting gets a shoulder up! Flair rolls onto his back and the two lie shoulder to shoulder as Nick Patrick again starts a count. (1……..2……..3……..4……..5…..Still no activity……..6…..Sting starts to stir……7……Flair does a sit-up……8…..Sting gets to his knees…….9…….Flair does the same……1-Sting gets to his feet!) Sting connects with a punch to the face of Ric Flair and pulls Naitch to his feet. Sting pushes Flair back into the corner and starts chopping away at “The Nature Boy” with the crowd cheering along with every one. Sting increases the speed of his chops and this is unbelievable. Sting has found a second wind here! Flair tries to find his third wind deep down inside and spins rounds Sting so now Sting is in the corner but Flair only connects with two chops before Sting turns it round again and keeps chopping away! Flair looks to Flop but Sting forces him back into the corner and takes a few steps back to the opposite corner. Sting comes in with the Stinger Splash! Sting whips Flair to the opposite corner and a second Stinger Splash! A third Irish Whip and Sting has the crowd at a fever-pitch here! Sting charges with a third Stinger Splash but Flair avoids it and looks for an Irish Whip of his own but it’s reversed and Flair flips over the top turnbuckle onto the apron. Flair runs along the apron and climbs to the top rope. Flair with a cross-body! He nails it. Sting rolls through with the momentum but the momentum carries Flair over into the pin again and Flair locks the leg of Sting between his own! Nick Patrick with the count! ONE………..TWO…………THREE! It’s over! It’s over! Ric Flair has done it! Ric Flair has done it! Ric Flair has won the “Time Crisis” match! [sting eliminated by pinfall in 65.10] Flair has his arm raised by Nick Patrick as Flair looks out through the crimson mask to the aisle where Scott Steiner has re-emerged. Flair looks shocked as Scott Steiner watches him intently from the stage.

I liked the show,

Ric Flair vs. Scott Steiner should be good, you did a good job protecting Goldberg by having the ending be a screwjob. Hopefully, you push Flair and write the wrongs that Bischoff did. The only problem I have is Gary Michael Cappetta as a backstage interviewer. He was the voice of WCW in the early 90s as ring announcer. So many old school fans remember him as the old ring announcer who served from the late 80s up until 1995. So him as a backstage interviewer in WCW is a bit weird.

Other than that, it's a good PPV. The Time Crisis match seemed a bit like the Royal Rumble but that's okay. Can't wait to see how the whole storyline with Flair and the Magnificent Seven will play out since both Flair and Steiner are members.

O yeah, sack Penzer and put Cappetta back where he belongs, ring announcing.

Following an explosive Superbrawl Revenge WCW Monday Nitro comes at you live from The CajunDome in Lafayette, Indiana and the biggest topic of discussion has to be the results of last nights Pay-Per View. Scott Steiner retained his WCW World Championship against Goldberg in an explosive match but the big news is the Time Crisis Match as a new #1 contender was crowned, Steiner’s Magnificent Seven comrade, “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair! How will the Magnificent Seven react to this and will it impact tonight’s main event as Scott Steiner teams with Ric Flair against Goldberg and Sting!

The “Time Crisis” match saw 5 new superstars debut in WCW. Tonight they get their first full match in huge 10 Man Tag action. It’s The British Bulldog, Curt Hennig, Jerry Lynn & The West Hollywood Blondes vs. Johnny The Bull, Mark Jindrak, Mike Sanders, Reno & Sean O’Haire! Will Chuck Palumbo be in attendance after last night?

We’ve got a new WCW United States Champion as “The Franchise” Shane Douglas defeated General Rection in a great match. Tonight General Rection will get his rematch! Will Douglas emerge victorious again or will he suffer the shortest title reign in WCW history? We’ll find out tonight!

Also at Superbrawl Revenge Rey Misterio Jr. walked out victorious against Straight Outta Samoa but Billy Kidman’s recovery took a huge step back as he was attacked by Chavo Guerrero from behind following the match!

At Superbrawl Revenge Terry Funk emerged victorious against Justin Credible, but Credible has vowed he isn’t finished with Funk yet. We’ll hear from him tonight!

WCW Monday Nitro comes at you live from the CajunDome in Lafayette, Louisiana! With your announce team of Tony Schiavone and Gary Michael Cappetta ready for anything, we can join the action which you will only see on WCW television!

- THE SEVEN ARRIVE BUT SOMETHING SEEMS DIFFERENT -

Before we join Tony Schiavone and Gary Michael Cappetta inside the building we’re out in the parking lot where a HUGE and I mean huge white stretch limo pulls up with the license plate “MAG 7”. The plate was purchased in New Hampshire as we get their wonderful “Live free, or die!” motto right in our face. The limo pulls up at the arena entrance and the door opens. WCW World Heavyweight Champion Scott Steiner is the first out with the belt over his shoulder. Following him out is “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair and “The Chosen One” Jeff Jarrett. The rest of the Seven follow them. They all look sombre and not at all in the mood to be wrestling tonight. Steiner looks back to the others, hands his bag to Midajah and enters the arena as Nitro heads inside to the backstage area….

- MISTERIO MAKES HIS STANCE CLEAR -

Backstage stands Rey Misterio Jr. with “Mean” Gene Okerlund. Misterio is looking at the floor, his hands on his hips as the camera cuts to him. He starts rocking from foot to foot as Okerlund starts to talk.

“Mean” Gene Okerlund: Rey Misterio Jr. last night at Superbrawl Revenge you went it alone against Chavo Guerrero’s henchmen, O.G Ekmo and Kimo - Straight Outta Samoa. With some help from Billy Kidman you came away with the victory. That means that you are one step closer to facing Chavo Guerrero Jr. and gaining retribution for not only what he did to Billy Kidman and Konnan – your friends – back in January, but also for what he did to Billy Kidman last night, and I’m sure that I and all these fans want to know, how is Billy Kidman?

Rey Misterio Jr: Well essé let me tell you, Kidman? Heesa doin’ fine “Mean” Gene. He’s in hospital again. He ran the risk of helping his buddy and it cost him big. But you see Gene Okerlund holmes, this isn’t about that Cruiserweight Title. The gold around Chavo’s waist, he can keep it. I don’t care ‘bout that. All I care about it getting revenge for Kidman and Konnan. My buddies, who Chavo nearly crippled with that steel chair.

“Mean” Gene Okerlund: And now with a victory over S.O.S, surely Chavo Guerrero Jr. has to step into the squared circle with you?

Rey Misterio Jr: You know Gene Okerlund, I would like to think that he would essé, but it’s common knowledge that he won’t. You see “Mean” Gene, Chavo holmes, get him with those two friends of his and he’s tough. 1 on 3 ain’t good odds you know what I mean?

“Mean” Gene Okerlund: Well yes, yes I do.

Rey Misterio Jr: Yeah, but you see Gene. When you get Chavo alone, he’s different. He’s a little scared pussycat essé. He like a dear, caught………….in the headlights holmes. But Chavo, he can’t run for ever. Sooner of later Chavo holmes, you gonna have to step into the ring with me, and when that happens, I will get my revenge. - “THE AMERICAN DREAM” CAN’T COMPARE TO THE CANADIAN NIGHTMARE, HEY THAT’S PRETTY GOOD THAT ONE! -

Dustin & Dusty Rhodes vs. Mike Awesome & Lance Storm

Nitro got it’s first wrestling of the night as Dusty & Dustin Rhodes looked to put disappointing performances in the “Time Crisis” behind them against Mike Awesome & Lance Storm of Team Canada who put in solid performances in the match. It was the same story tonight as Awesome and Storm were solid with everything they did whereas the Rhodes’ father and son duo looked weak, especially Dustin – who word has it has fallen in love with independent wrestler Quiet Storm. Dusty Rhodes had taken it upon himself to under sell most of the offence against him, no matter the severity of the attack, so Awesome and Storm did the wise thing of keeping Dustin in the ring and keeping him grounded with Awesome’s power arsenal and Storm’s mat based technical wrestling with a little high flying thrown in. Dusty did get his hot face comeback spot in with the multiple elbows but in the end the Rhodes’ were outwrestled by their opposition and Lance Storm connected with a Superkick to Dustin Rhodes followed by an Awesome Splash for the 1-2-3. After the match Awesome and Storm posed with the Canadian flag.

“Mean” Gene Okerlund: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to WCW Monday Nitro! I am “Mean” Gene Okerlund and at this time it is my pleasure to introduce to you Justin Credible, who as we all know was unsuccessful in his match last night against Terry Funk and-

Justin Credible: You listen to me Okerlund you little son of a bitch! Terry Funk beat me for one reason and one reason only. That glass cage of his. I had prepared myself for a straight up match, yes there would be bloodshed, yes there would be weaponry, but nowhere in my plans was there a Funkin’ Conservatory! Larry Zbysko screwed me out of ending that wrinkled asshole career, ending his legacy, because like Funk, Zbysko doesn’t like what I preach.

“Mean” Gene Okerlund: Oh now come on, after what you did to get the match Larry Zbysko had every right to-

Justin Credible: He had no right to do anything! The contract I signed was for a Hardcore match, not a Funkin’ Conservatory match. I have a copy of that contract on its way to my lawyer in New York and he’s gonna have a good look over that contract. This isn’t over Okerlund, this is far from over. That’s not just the coolest, that’s not just the best, that’s Justin Credible!

From one backstage set to another we join Scott Hudson. Nice to see him back. At first we can only see him but as he speaks the camera pans out to reveal Goldberg standing beside him.

Scott Hudson: Thank you “Mean” Gene, I am “The Roving Reporter” Scott Hudson and I have got the honour at the present time of introducing to you the man who took Scott Steiner to his very limit last night, Goldberg. Now Goldberg, I….I know you’re angry at what happened last night, in…in the cage?

Goldberg: Scott, you think I’m angry? You think I’M ANGRY!?! You’re damn right I’m angry Hudson. Scott Steiner cheated me out of a title win last night, Steiner is his slut valet Midajah cost me that WCW World Heavyweight Title.

Scott Hudson: But tonight you get a small chance for revenge as you team with Sting to take on Scott Steiner and the #1 contender to his World Championship, his friend and ally, “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair.

Goldberg: That’s right Hudson and I’m gonna take full advantage. Scott Steiner isn’t going to be walking out of this arena tonight. Tonight I’m going to finish what I started yesterday and Steiner will leave on a stretcher.

Massive 10 man tag action followed as the 5 mystery entrants from last night going under the name Team Bulldog had their face/heel allegiances solidly set in stone as they faced off with the Natural Born Thrillers. [Johnny The Bull, Jindrak, Sanders, Reno & O’Haire] Word is that these guys are only on PPA deals and need to impress every night if they want employment. Unfortunately from the match tonight it seems that The Bulldog and Lynn may need to look elsewhere for full time work as they put in poor showings. Both men were rightly involved in the “Time Crisis” for a good length of time but even then so was Curt Hennig and he put in a stellar performance while the Blondes did their best. For the NBT, Reno was his usual useless self but the other four looked strong in what was a back-and-forth encounter which had a little of everything and was decent enough to keep the crowd mildly interested. Hennig got the biggest pop of the match when he nailed the Hennig-Plex to Mike Sanders but it was the appearance of Chuck Palumbo at ringside that sealed victory for Team Bulldog as during a brawl involving all ten men (there’s always one out of control moment) Chuck Palumbo appeared and nailed Mark Jindrak with a big Jungle Kick. The British Bulldog then collapsed on top for the 1-2-3. After the bell the NBT realised that Palumbo had caused them the match but Palumbo was long gone through the crowd.

Nitro returns from commercial to a close-up of the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship. A single hand brushes over the gold plate as the camera zooms out and the hand joins the other in rubbing together in-front of “The Franchise” Shane Douglas who was with “The Roving Reporter” Scott Hudson.

Scott Hudson: Welcome back to Monday Nitro, I am “The Roving Reporter” Scott Hudson back again, this time with the new WCW US Champion, the man who in a few moments will defend the title against the man he won it from – General Rection – I am talking of course, of “The Franchise” Shane Douglas.

“The Franchise” Shane Douglas: The pleasure is all yours Scott.

Scott Hudson: Well Franchise, last night we saw you come out victorious against General Rection, tonight you face him again with the title on the line. Do you have any comments?

“The Franchise” Shane Douglas: I did what I said I was going to do Scott. I said that I was going to bring honour back to the WCW US Title, be a great champion and erase the memory of General Rection, all on the way to the very top of this company. Because I am “The Franchise”. I’m the man they all come to see, they all pay their hard earned money to come and watch. General Rection, I beat you last night and I’ll do the same tonight. You don’t deserve to be anywhere near this championship belt and after tonight, when I make a mockery of you in that ring, you won’t get near this title belt again!

Nitro returns to ringside where General Rection is already making his way to the ring.

“The Franchise” Shane Douglas vs. General Rection (w/ Major Gunns)

Nitro moved along with a rematch from Superbrawl Revenge as General Rection had a chance to reclaim his lost WCW United States Championship against the new champion “The Franchise” Shane Douglas. Sadly for the General things didn’t get any better for him that they were last night as he was again on the back foot for the majority of the match, only getting in a shot here and a move there and “The Franchise” did exactly as he said he would in the prior interview, nailing the Pittsburgh Plunge for the 1-2-3, even after Major Gunns had involved herself, jumping on Douglas’ back. After the match “The Franchise” added further insult to injury with a DDT to Major Gunns and a second Plunge to Rection before “The Franchise” stood over the two bodies as Nitro went to a commercial. The last thing heard was “The Franchise” yelling to Rection. “I am ‘The Franchise’! You are nothing!”

- NO PROBLEMS IN THE CAMP. IN FACT, THEY’VE GOT A PLAN! -

Nitro leaves the ring and heads backstage back to “Mean” Gene Okerlund – he’s being kept busy tonight - who this time has with him the WCW World Champion “Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner and “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair.

“Mean” Gene Okerlund: Well for the last time tonight I am backstage here at the CajunDome in beautiful Lafayette, Indiana and I have with me the two men who right now are at the very top of the ladder here in WCW following Superbrawl Revenge. The WCW World Champion Scott Steiner and the #1 Contender for that very title, “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair.

Scott Steiner: Let’s get something straight right now “Mean” Gene. We have always been at the top of the ladder in WCW, we have always been dominant and we will always be dominant. We said it all along, we said it last night and it came true. We kept our promise that we would take home the gold and win the “Time Crisis” and we did. Now this WCW World Heavyweight Title is safely around my waist and should we even face each other, we’ve got a plan, a plan that the fans won’t like and Larry Zbysko won’t like, but a plan which will screw them good.

“Mean” Gene Okerlund: Well Ric Flair, you came through nineteen other men last night for a shot at the World Title, why aren’t you claiming it?

Ric Flair: Well ya know somethin’ “Mean” Gene! “The Nature Boy” doesn’t need to have the gold! The gold is in the camp of the Seven Okerlund, whooooooooooo! The gold belongs to us now and the gold brings all the things that make the Seven recognised as the very best this sport has to offer. It brings us big houses, the fast cars, the faster women, the Presidential suite, the private jets, the stretch limousines and oh so much more. Whoooooooooooo! The gold is safe with the Magnificent Seven. It’s a beautiful piece of gold but it looks just as good around the waist of Scott Steiner as it would around mine. Whoooooooooooooooooooooo!

“Mean” Gene Okerlund: Now Ric Flair, I have…..I have known you for over 10 years and I know that when you have a shot at the gold, you take it no matter what!

Ric Flair: We all have to change “Mean” Gene……the gold may be sweet! But the power we now hold is sweeter than all the oranges in Florida put together. Whooooooooooooooooooo!

“Mean” Gene Okerlund: Well what about your match tonight? Goldberg and Sting face the two of you in tag team competition in a few minutes time!

Scott Steiner: I beat Goldberg last night and Ric pinned Sting. Tonight will be no different “Mean” Gene. When all is said and done tonight, the Seven will still be reigning supreme!

Ric Flair: Whooooooooooooooooo!

**COMMERCIAL BREAK – WCW SHAPE ‘EM AND SLAM ‘EM ACTION FIGURES! NOW WITH AUTHETIC WRESTLER PHRASES!**

- TAG TEAM TURMOIL AS FOUR STARS GO AT IT -

Scott Steiner & Ric Flair (w/ Midajah) vs. Goldberg & Sting

Nitro’s main event saw a huge hope for ratings success as Scott Steiner & Ric Flair teamed together to face Goldberg and, wait for it……Sting! Before the match Flair was seen giving a long look to the World Title and so the whole story of the match centred around what the relationship between Steiner and Flair was like now that Flair held the #1 contenders spot to Steiner’s title. Goldberg and Sting tried to plant seeds of doubt in the mind of Scott Steiner over his allies loyalty as the match progressed in what was a very even match which while nothing spectacular got the crowd worked up heavily. A sub-plot also ran throughout of Goldberg wanting to get his hands on Scott Steiner but the champion would do everything he could to keep Goldberg out the ring, which led to Sting playing the isolated face for most of the match. When the hot tag did come Goldberg got his hands on Steiner and beat him from pillar to post. Sting got back into it and went after Flair but a momentary breakdown in communication saw Goldberg nail Sting with a spear and Midajah made her presence felt, sliding the World Title into the ring behind the referee’s back. It was “The Nature Boy” who picked it up and held it in his arms looking at it, before spotting Goldberg turning. Flair kissed the belt then did what he had to do and nailed Goldberg right between the eyes with it. Flair then covered Goldberg for the 1-2-3. After the match Steiner and Flair celebrated but Steiner made damn sure to get his belt off Flair quickly. They were about to leave the ring when the music of Larry Zbysko hit the sound system.

- MR. PRESIDENT STOPS ANY WRONG DOING….NO NOT BUSH! -

The WCW President Larry Zbysko comes out onto the stage, a microphone in his hand. Zbysko soaks up the applause from the crowd before raising the microphone to his mouth.

Larry Zbysko: I couldn’t help but overhear your comments from earlier tonight Scott. You know the one where you said how you had a “plan” to screw everybody over. Screw them all out of the match they want to see? Well I’m here to tell you that you won’t be screwing anybody! The next match which will be for the World Heavyweight Championship WILL be Scott Steiner versus Ric Flair. But it’s not going to happen, until I say it’s going to happen. The match will take place when I want, where I want and how I want. Oh and in case you’re thinking you’ll get one over on me by you Ric, just lying down and being pinned, I’m going to tell you now, that should you do that, then both of you, will be……………………..FIRED!

The crowd pops at this as Steiner and Flair look on in shock and Nitro goes off the air with a smiling Larry Zbysko nodding his head.

The Truth About The Brawl

”Erm……Justin, we need to talk….”

”Sure. What about?”

”You, and….and your match tonight.”

”What about it?”

”Turner says you have to lose.”

”Ted Turner says I have to lose? Why does Ted Turner give two shits whether I lose or not?”

”Well he, he sees it as a punishment.”

”What for?”

Oh boy this wasn’t as easy in real life as it was in my mind.

”The language you used in your promos last week. He didn’t approve of them.”

”What language?”

”Uh, I got a list here of them……’faggot’, ‘fag’ and ‘butt buddy’ are the uh…..are the major ones. He doesn’t like anything that makes him look bad and this kinda made him look like he’s prejudice against gays.”

”So I lose tonight? What that’s it? My whole angle gone ‘cause Ted Turner finally pulls his finger out his ass and realises he has a wrestling promotion?”

”No, no, no. Look you have to lose tonight but I’ve thought of a way round it. Now Turner won’t like it-“

Even I had stopped calling him Mr. Turner now, frankly I was as pissed as he was. I just hid it a lot better.

”…but we bring out the Conservatory. You go off on one ranting because that wasn’t part of it. Turns out it was in the small print of the contract, Larry Zbysko – who come to think of it is making a whole lotta enemies – added the Conservatory to add to the match. You lose but only because you aren’t ready to be surrounded by a cage of glass. We can build it up from there. It might even become even hotter!”

”I was meant to go over tonight.”

”I know, I know but it has to change. Look I can’t really talk about it now, but something has happened, something major. That’s why I called the meeting for after the show. I’ll tell everybody then. Just trust me.

”Alright.”

Well compared to what I had to tell everyone after the show, that was easy. The show itself went well, a couple of minor hitches though……

”I don’t want to be on the shortest match on the show!”

”Oh God, Kevin!”

”We get 9 minutes but everyone else gets over 10!”

”Yes everyone else gets over ten.”

”Why?”

Why couldn’t I tell him the truth?

”Because we felt that by having you go over in the quickest time it’ll make you look dominant.”

”Well I don’t want to be out there the shortest.”

”Well what do you want me to do about it?”

”Sort it….”

”Oh God! Fine, I’ll……I’ll figure something out.”

That something turned out to be cutting the length of the US Title match in half so it ran for less time than the Tag Title match. Rection and Douglas were a little pissed but soon took the hint that these decisions came from higher-ups. Of course I did the “quotation marks” and pointed to Nash, so they knew who had really complained. After the show, I called everyone in to a big room at the back of the arena. Earlier in the day I had Sophie run off 120 copies of the same contract, I’d already signed mine and even though she wasn’t earning anything as it was, she had signed one as well. Now only 118 to go.

”Okay everybody. Settle down, this is important, I’ve called you all here because a few days ago Ted Turner did something which will throw a spanner into the works of this company. What started out as a discussion over one wrestler who shall remain nameless, things soon spiralled out of control and Ted Turner questioned the financial advantages of WCW. Long story short, he’s told me that we aren’t getting any more money from him for a long time. We’ll working with what we make…”

Three………….Two………..One……..Here it comes…

”WHAT!?!?!”

Ah, Kevin Nash. The one man I can count on the be a constant thorn in my side. Ever so reliable outside the ring, why couldn’t he be the same in it? Hey that’s a good insult, I’ll need to remember that.

”Didn’t you hear me Kevin?”

”Oh I heard”

”Now look guys, I know this isn’t a good situation in the slightest…”

”You can say that again!”

”But sitting around and arguing about it won’t help. Ted Turner has withdrawn his funding and that’s that. He’s still the owner, he still shows our programming on his stations and that’s what keeps us alive at the moment. But he won’t provide any money for us from his accounts. As far as he’s concerned, WCW is a black hole for his money. We need to show him we can make a profit before he’ll think about us again.

”So what does that mean for us? Do we get paid anything?”

Nash brought up the one point where everyone would back him.

”Well, you’ll……..you’ll….

”There you see! We’re not gonna get paid are we?”

”Well there is two options. Neither of them are pretty. Behind me you’ll see a big pile of contracts. What they basically say is that you waive your salary for as long as required but as soon as the company is out of its position then you get everything which is owed to you.”

”And what’s the second option?”

”You bleed this company very quickly to death and you all lose your jobs!”

Hah! Hadn’t expected that had you Nash?

”Those are the only two options available to us all. Now I’ve already signed one saying I give up my salary for the time being. Sophie has done the same. Will anyone else help to save this company?”

There was nothing. No one was standing up, no one rushing to my aide. No one willing to help me in this desperate time. Nash looked about at all the people umming and aahing, with a smug grin on his face. Goldberg stood at the back. He hadn’t said a word which was strange, and Scott Steiner was unusually quiet as well. Just when it looked like all hope was lost…..

”Where do we sign?”

Where had that voice come from? I spun around looking and spotted the “we” in question. Ric Flair and Sting were standing in the doorway. Flair had stitches in his forehead and Sting was without his face paint and the two were in street clothes. I thought they were sitting something among the crowd.

”Just take a contract.”

”Alright.”

And they walked to the table, signed the contracts right then and there – not even looking over them – shook my hand and walked back out. I would like to say there was a great rush forward, there wasn’t but it helped as people looked about. Frustrated Goldberg pushed his way through and put down his John Hancock on a contract.

”I hope you know what you’re doing” he said.

”So do I” I replied.

After Goldberg came some of the lower workers, AJ Styles, Air Paris, David Flair, Disco Inferno, Stevie Ray. Then The Steiners, Jarrett, Animal, Bagwell and Luger signed. Booker T, the Rhodes’, DDP, Rey Misterio, Sid. One by one people stepped forward and signed the contracts. Billy Kidman hobbled to the front near the end and put down his signature. He then grabbed a 2nd contract.

”For Konnan.” he said. I nodded. It went on, people coming forward, signing and leaving for the night, a job and a pay per view well done. Even the five guys who had been brought in as mystery entrants as didn’t even have secure jobs came forward and waived their PPA deals. Until there was one, no prizes for guessing who.

”You gonna sign?”

”I don’t know.”

I tried the Saved By The Bell “learning moment” approach.

”You know I can’t make you sign Kevin and-“

”Spare be the Saved By The Bell bullshit.”

Hey he was a fan as well. I was just about to give up when I heard a voice.

”For fucks sake Kev, just sign the fuckin’ contract. We’ve gotta go!”

Diamond Dallas Page, the voice of reason.

”Alright.”

And he signed. I’d done it, somehow I’d got everyone to work without salaries. Hmm, I think that deserves a nice glass of orange juice.

WCW THUNDER PREVIEW!

After an explosive Nitro WCW rolls into The ALLTEL Arena in North Little Rock, Arkansas for another edition of WCW Thunder and what a night we have in store for you!

The Magnificent Seven are in turmoil following Larry Zbysko’s announcement that Ric Flair will have to face Scott Steiner for the WCW World Title, and the time, place and stipulations will be decided by our WCW President! Any hopes of an easy match with Flair lying down were dashed when Zbysko clearly stated that if Flair lies down for Steiner both men will be fired! Tonight in our main event Ric Flair will again team with Scott Steiner against WCW World Tag Team Champions The InSiders, and guess what…….The titles will be on the line!

But that isn’t all. Tonight we’ll see fan favourites The West Hollywood Blondes return to tag team competition against The Harris Boys! Terry Funk will respond to the comments of Justin Credible from Monday night! We’ll also see Shane Helms, Elix Skipper, Shane Douglas and Curt Hennig in action!
