Make a six track "taster" download for your favourite artists....

If you replaced "Philosophy" and "Evaporated" with the live version of "Jackson Cannery" and "Selfless, Cold, and Composed" that would be my Ben Folds Five six.

"Evaporated" and "Selfless, Cold, and Composed" are pretty much interchangeable on that list, natch.

I am pleased to find "Boxing" on both of our lists, though.

Oh, wait, I might replace "Don't Change Your Plans" with "Lullabye," too. But still.

And yeah, "Boxing" is absolutely one of my favorite Ben Folds Five songs.

1. A Favor House Atlantic

2. Welcome Home

3. Delirium Trigger

4. Devil in Jersey City

5. Gravemakers and Gunslingers

6. In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3

That, with the exception of #4, is more or less mine as well. I'd replace DiJC with Ten Speed for sure, and possibly IKSoSE with Cuts Marked etc. #1-3 and G&G are constants, though.

I saw DFF's list and then Reily's and was like "Why did Reily just doublepost?"

The Germs

Sex Boy

Richie Dagger's Crime

Communist Eyes

We Must Bleed

Shut Down (Annihilation Man)

What We Do Is Secret

As much as I love Ten Speed, it screams "single" to me, like "shit guys, we need to be a smidge more accessible here." Also IKSOSE stays because it's a bloody juggernaut live.

True, but I get the same vibe from that as I do AFHA and G&G (which makes sense because the former was a single and the latter could well have been). And on the same note, I need to get hold of Here We Are Juggernaut

ALKALINE TRIO

I really like "Off The Map"...but two off the recent one, really? It's more consistent than the one before, and the randomness of the Smackin' Isiah trumpet line in "Lead Poisoning" is fantastic, but the good tracks on the last one (if you ignore the faux-darkness) like "Lost & Rendered" and "Do You Wanna Know?" I feel are better than the top ones on the new one ("This Addiction" and "Off The Map"). Good call on "Continental" though, fantastic song. I think "Good Mourning" is a proper underrated album. That, "All On Black" and "Every Thug Needs A Lady" are top class.

Mine for Alk3;

Alkaline Trio

Jaked On Green Beers

Bloodied Up

Old School Reasons

5-3-10-4

Cooking Wine

Warbrain

(special mention to "You've Got So Far To Go")

Fuck it, gonna do a few more;

Rise Against

Torches

Black Masks & Gasoline

Broken English

Tip The Scales

Worth Dying For

3-Day Weekend (for a minute long song, fuck I love it so much)

Brand New

Seventy Times 7

Guernica

Sic Transit Gloria

Jesus Christ

Limousine

You Stole

Pennywise

Broken

Fight Till You Die

Bro Hymn

Society

Can't Believe It

You'll Never Make It

(...or you know...get "Full Circle"...)

Bloc Party

Uniform

Luno

Price Of Gasoline

This Modern Love

Flux

SRXT

(bloody fucking difficult...I feel shit for leaving out some of the b-sides like "Hero", "Cain Said To Abel", "Once & Future King", "Selfish Son", Atonement" etc)

Blur

Jubilee

End Of A Century

Beetlebum

Colin Zeal

Tender

Charmless Man

Song 2

The new one is good, I didn't put anything from it here because I've only listened a couple of times so far, and I'm not sure how it stacks up against the older stuff.
