The poster for the new Yogi Bear film

Oh yes I forgot about the smurfs.

I very nearly walked out of Toy Story 3 because of that fucking thing. I haven't seen such an unappealing movie since... well, since the last half-CGI-half-live-action-remake-of-an-old-cartoon these people forced stillborn from their barren Hollywood wombs.

Dan Ackroyd does Rodney Dangerfield as Yogi Bear? :shifty:

Also noticed this during the Marmaduke trailer and this - trailers for movies seem to require CGI dance numbers for some reason but it doesn't look as horrendously bad as say that Cats and Dogs sequel or Marmaduke.

And let's not forget about the mambo sequence from Flubber.

As the father of a toddler and a preschool-age girl, I can say that CGI dance numbers are comedy gold within this demographic. Once you stop accidentally shitting in your pants, they become less interesting.

Amazing that of the two, Justin Timberlake is doing the better voice work in that trailer.

Anyway, it's... not good. But it's not The Smurfs bad, or Alvin and the Chipmunks bad. Those are very, very special levels of bad. Still bad, though.

EDIT: And that poster is terrifying.
