Euro 2012 Qualifying Thread

I don't know how the Scottish are complaining, at least they didn't lose to Norway...

There's a difference between losing to #22 and trailing (and then very nearly playing to a draw against) #141.

Also suck it, Portugal. That was for North Korea! ... somehow! In my head.

I just think Wales need a guy who has managed before, they could finish 2nd in this group as they have a good squad of players, I think it was clear Toshacks time had run it's course. Although he did very good things for Welsh football in the way he brought through youth players.

A few results stand out for me here. Obviously Northern Ireland's 0-0 draw with Italy was a great result for them.

Montengero beating the Swiss was a slight turn up for the books too.

The main couple of games that leap out at Armenia's 3-1 win over Slovakia, and Estonia winning away to Serbia, hilariously putting Estonia second in their qualifying group.

Oh come on. That was a ridiculously entertaining game considering it included Scotland. Losing 3-2 is nothing to be ashamed of, especially against a team that is not only the reigning Euro champions, not only the reigning World champions, but also a team that hoardes possesion and is as talented as Spain is. We lost the match, and we got lucky with Piques own goal, but we got a bit of pride back. We were unlucky to concede the penalty, and Llorentes goal was far from a result of spectacular build up play. Given how many spectacular saves McGregor made through the game, it's a shame we condeded the silly goals we did.

The only problem is convincing the dumb bastards to play this well against all teams, not just the big ones.
