That is a WEIRD line-up for Man Utd. Valencia has been an able deputy for right-back but is far from a natural there, I've yet to be impressed by Evans, and Evra has been a little dodgy in recent weeks. Add to the fact that Carrick is in defence and this could be a very interesting game.

Especially with Rooney and Welbeck rested, Young and Jones injured. Very pleased to see Park getting some match time.

Is Smalling injured, rested or dropped BTW?

I think Fergie's just testing Carrick out at centre-back, because we're short of cover with Vida injured. It didn't turn out to well when he played there last season, but we'll see.

Felt the red was very harsh. Didn't see the first booking but the second wasn't really bad at all.

Edit: Was actually a straight red, thought it was two yellows. Poor decision.

It's not like Blackburn have played well at all.

Blackburn and Kean under all the pressure in the world and we couldn't have done anything else to make them more comfortable, short of rolling out the red carpet. Topped off with Adam lazily sticking out a leg with no awareness of where he is on the pitch or what's going on around him to hand Blackburn a 1-0 lead just before half-time.

I would be thinking we'll get Gerrard in the second half. He might give us a bit of a kick up the arse. Even if they're a goal up Blackburn are there for the taking, because they're not really doing anything wholeheartedly.

Ahhhh Liverpool. It's all very well playing well against the top teams but it's not wise to always play badly against the lower teams when there are more of those.
