I agree that we need some other way of choosing records in the future. It was perfect for the first time, but I think it would be good if we just let a different person choose each week to add some variety.

So, since metalman hasn't posted in quite a while, I decided (with the permission of GoGo) to take control of this thing until metalman returns. Let's hope it's okay with him.

Anyways, a few more guidelines that might be useful and I think we agreed upon.

1. I will pick a random member of the music club for the first album to choose and then we'll just take turns.

2. The maximum discussion time before picking a new album will be 2 weeks. If we are done earlier, we can move on quicker.

3. We should probably stick to more recent releases. However, if you really can't think of anything it's cool to throw an older record in the mix, kinda making it like a "classic week" or something.

4. There are no other limitations, just choose what you want.

Let's get underway! The current list of music club members:

1. metalman

2. Steeb

3. Matt

4. Livid

5. Apsham

6. LD

7. GoGo

8. HeyThereTaylorGang

9. fr34k

10. Hickey

11. GA

12. Jack95

13. Pris

14. Ben

15. Rich

16. Split Second

17. Lowerdeck

(Let's hope I didn't forget anyone. If so, speak up.)

As per random number generator, the first person to choose a record is jack95. Let's say you have 48 hours (sounds fair?) to get in here and name the record you want to discuss and then I'll set up a thread for our second meeting.

Hmm.. I'm going to go with Hedonism by the English folk band Bellowhead. It's from 2010, so it's fairly recent. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but the songs are mostly fast paced and upbeat, and there's a wide range of musical influences in it. The album's available on Spotify, and I think on YouTube if you do a little digging.

Are we seriously all pretending we're that bothered about acquiring this music legally? :shifty:

It's more that my external hard drive is dead and I don't want to download too much to my computer, especially if I only plan on listening to it one (see: RHCP).

What the fuck, I can't even find a track list online. Jack, any chance you could find a link for that?
