Johnson has looked decidedly average at RB, every time. Oh if only Walker hadn't been injured. I thought Young didn't have the greatest game either though, with our left flank looking our weakest point at many times in the game.

The more I watch it, the more I hate Gerrard on that counter attack near the end. He nearly gets in Walcott's way and then when Theo crosses, Oxlade-Chamberlain is perfectly placed to hit it with his stronger foot into the corner, but Gerrard runs in front of him and hits it at the keeper.

Would've been a great moment for the Ox, but ah well. We won, that's the main thing.

I spent the entire move yelling at him! He did have a good game, little bit too much Hollywood, but that assist is exactly what I've been saying for ages, with Gerrard behind him Carroll will score a boatload.

Oh come on, Johnson ran all the way back to save two pretty clear-cut goalscoring chances on his own :/ he had a good game. And he was pretty decent in the first too. And that's from a Liverpool fan who decisively doesn't like him.

I think it probably was the game of the tournament so far, unless I'm missing something. I'm always a stickler for games that go 1-0 then 1-2 then 3-2. Perfect rollercoaster of emotions. And it's pretty fun seeing people go YES COME ON ENGLAND to FUCKING SHIT LIKE USUAL ENGLAND to AND PEOPLE SAID ENGLAND WERE BORING! WHAT A GAME!

I fucking hate Ibrahimovic at the best of times anyway. It pisses me off to no end because he's an amazing player but he's lazy as fuck and comes across a right bellend.

He is, that's what pisses me off. Most of the time he doesn't seem like he can be arsed even trying or thinks he's "above" the rest of the team so shouldn't bother or whatever.

I fucking love awesome 'lazy' players like Ibra and Berbatov. I'd take a fantastic touch and tendency to do the sublime over work-rate any day of the week. There's a reason Bergkamp is my favourite player of all time.

I don't really like Johnson but he's been pretty good these two games I thought. Has put in a few crucial (and very well executed) tackles and has used his pace well to help cover to stop the attacker the times they've strolled past Terry.

I also love Danny Welbeck. It's always great to see a young, local lad make it for your team and is even greater when he makes the transition to scoring winning goals for England too. I thought he understood the "it's important to actually keep the ball" thing too that eluded Parker and Gerrard. Hopefully he'll stay in the team with Rooney against Ukraine. Taking Carroll out might also make the other players keep the ball on the deck too, rather than their searching balls forward that more often than not found nobody.
