The 49ers got 2 challenges they didn't have, and thus 2 time outs when they had none. Thankfully they still lost.

The ref admits he didn't know the rules, and Harbaugh convinced him he could keep doing it.

Seriously the blatant abuse of rules with these replacement refs is ridiculous. Not to mention the player safety issues. Cheap shot hits like the one on Schaub or Heyward-Bey should not be happening.
