49ers -7 had money refunded (but would have won with the safety)

49ers -7.5 or -8 lost (but would have won with the safety)

Seahawks +7 had money refunded (but would have lost with the safety)

Seahawks +7.5 or +8 won (but would have lost with the safety)

Overall, it's safe to say that coach Harbaugh's unconventional decision resulted in a $75 million dollar swing worldwide with the bettors overall losing that amount (due to 65% of the action being on the 49ers) and the bookies overall winning that amount.

All fantasy leagues that don't give defenses points for kick return scores should die painful deaths. Yards, I understand, but no points for touchdowns? Fail. <_<

(This may or may not have anything to do with Brad Smith being the only thing making the Bills relevant right now.)

And then people who have receivers who also return kicks would bitch.

That's not really true because most returners aren't starters so the only way it'd make sense to pick them up is if it's a large league like we had last year.

It is really true, because we've already been through this a few times. Though I suppose we could look into a way to reward both defenses and the individual players.

I sort of misread your original post but that's the point I was trying to make because the frequency of individual players scoring return TDs isn't going to be that high. So if you do both, it's not really going to affect a whole lot other than giving points to the D/ST for being good on Special Teams.
