Pundits crow about how it's such an "epic meltdown" from teams like Atlanta last year or Texas this year, but the fact is baseball's season is defined by who is hot after the All-Star Break and who is not. All the 81 games pre-break do are determine who's eligible to catch up to the leaders and who are already out of it.

What I want to happen:

ALDS: Baltimore over Yankees - A's over Tigers

NLDS: Reds over Giants - Nationals over Cards

ALCS: Orioles over A's

NLCS: Nationals over Reds

Series: Nationals over Orioles

What I think will happen:

ALDS: Yankees over Orioles - Tigers over A's

NLDS: Reds over Giants - Cards over Nationals

ALCS: Yankees over Tigers

NLCS: Cards over Reds

Series: Yankees over Cardinals

Can someone explain how LeCure got the win last night? Is it simply because Cincy took the lead in the top of the 3rd?

Yeah I think if you come in relief you're automatically in line for the W so long as you leave with the lead.

Starting pitchers must pitch at least 5 innings to be eligible for the win. Even if the Reds had scored 10 runs in the first or something, Cueto would have not have gotten the win if he didn't get through 5.
