Uh, pass. Does Ichi The Killer count? Or Oldboy?

Horror film

Attack The Block (does that count? I'm counting it. Fuck you guys.)

Vampire film

From Dusk Til Dawn

Comedy film

Ghostbusters

Western film

A Fistful Of Dynamite

Black comedy film

Pulp Fiction

Honorable mention to Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, I had no idea where to put it. Great film. I'm a sucker for good heist/caper films too.

Hardest thing for me to pick was the Western category. I adore spaghetti westerns and there are so many absolutely amazing ones that Sergio Leone did, as well as some like My Name Is Nobody where he had creative input and directed select scenes.

Sci-fi film: Escape from L.A. A lot of people say New York is the superior one, but I saw L.A. first and I'll always respond to it best. Just badass from start to finish. Snake Plissken is amazing.

War film: The Dirty Dozen. Ernest Borgnine, Charles Bronson, Lee Marvin, and more! Super fun.

Romance film: Annie Hall. A great film, though I don't watch much of this genre.

Zombie film: Shaun of the Dead. Almost forgot this movie existed, dunno how that happened.

Japanese/Japanese style horror film: Battle Royale. Kind of by default. Don't really go for these sorts of movies.

Horror film: Psycho.

Vampire film: Blade, one of the series. I think I've seen I and II. Not sure.

Comedy film: Beverly Hills Cop. Pure class. Everybody's great in this and it just puts a big smile on my face. Probably my favorite movie, definitely top three.

Western film: Duck, You Sucker. Amazing. Partly for the camp (Rod Steiger's portrayal of a Mexican is ridiculous), but I think it really is a well done film. Morricone's score makes it both humorous and very wistful.

Black comedy film: Dr. Strangelove. I don't seek black comedies out but this one is just dark and brilliant. I should watch it again but I kind of don't want to.

Brainless action film: The Dirty Dozen. See above.

Dramatic film: The Wrestler. First drama that I saw in my collection. Don't really watch many dramas.

Caper/Comedy drama film: Cool Hand Luke. Yeah, Luke is one of the coolest guys ever to be on film. Not really a comedy, more a drama with lots of funny moments.

Pah, who in their right mind WOULDN'T like a Takeshi Miike film that spends 90 minutes as a slightly weird romance movie between a pervy old guy and pretty young girl...and then finishes as a sickening exercise in torture that makes Misery seem kind of tame.

I own it, but I wonder if I could actually watch it again now.
