Championship leaders Cardiff City are expecting to complete the signing of Simon Lappin, who has been released by Norwich City, according to WalesOnline. The 30-year-old Scot was on loan at Cardiff at the end of last year.

Press Association Sport understands a deal has been agreed for Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli to join AC Milan.

The Serie A team have agreed to pay around £20m for the player, with some of the fee being made up by bonuses.

City have so far made no comment on the matter.

Italian football expert James Horncastle: "There are growing reports in Italy that Milan have reached an agreement with Manchester City to sign Mario Balotelli for €20m plus a further €3m in bonuses. ESPN are reporting that Blackpool have rejected Reading's bid for winger Tom Ince. Reading boss Brian McDermott said earlier on Tuesday that an official bid had been put in for the 20-year-old and that he was awaiting a response.

He's just turned 29 so whilst he's not young, he's still in his prime, especially given that he's never had a serious injury. I'd have been disappointed to see him go for much less than £4m to be honest, but given we only got around £2m for Snodgrass and £1m for Howson, yeah £4m is a fucking fortune for us.

Belgian side Zulte Waregem say their striker Habib Habibou has met with championship side Leeds United but they are yet to receive an offer for him. The Central African Republic striker has scored six goals in 14 games this campaign.
