Out-of-favour Southampton defender Jos Hooiveld is on the verge of joining Millwall. The Dutchman was sent on a season-long loan to Norwich in August but he has only started six games during his time at Carrow Road and could leave in search of game time. Millwall are in need of defensive surety having conceded 19 goals in their last six games in all competitions, and Ian Holloway could turn to the 31-year-old.

West Brom are pulling away from the deal to bring Shola Ameobi to the Hawthorns and will look elsewhere in their pursuit of a striker. The former Newcastle player is apparently keen to explore options at other clubs.

Fiorentina have confirmed the return of striker Alberto Gilardino on loan from Chinese Super League club Guangzhou Evergrande until the end of the season. The 32-year-old moved to China in the summer from Genoa, but Fiorentina's deal includes an option to buy the 2006 World Cup winner at the end of the season.

Sky Sources understand that André Schurrle wants to join Wolfsburg. Chelsea are believed to want more than £22.5m for the out of favour winger but no offer has yet been made from the German club.

Nathaniel Clyne says he has not yet decided whether he will sign a new contract at Southampton. Clyne, whose current contract expires in summer 2016, said: "We will wait until April. I'm still negotiating my contract with my agent and the club."

Newcastle have confirmed that defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa has completed a permanent switch to Roma after triggering a clause in his loan agreement. About £5.5m, apparently.

Arsenal striker Joel Campbell has joined Spanish club Villarreal on loan for the rest of the season. The 22-year-old's move is part of the deal that will see defender Gabriel Paulista move to the Premier League club for £15m, according to Villarreal. Costa Rica international Campbell has made 10 appearances for Arsenal this season but has not scored a goal.

Everton striker Samuel Eto'o has joined Italian Serie A side Sampdoria, signing a deal with the club until 2018. Eto'o joined the Toffees on a free transfer in August 2014 and scored four goals in 20 appearances.

The Sun are saying that Chelsea have 'sealed' a £25m deal for Cuadrado, but I've yet to see it anywhere else.

Edit: A bunch of other papers now, quoting either £25m or €33m (same thing), but perhaps they're just copying each other. Nonetheless, wouldn't be surprised to see this deal official in the next two or three days.
