There was a 3-year span where Arnold dominated the game like nobody ever, not even Jack or Tiger.

I'll be drinking more Arnold Palmers than usual in the days ahead.

Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson will lead Europe's challenge to win a fourth successive Ryder Cup against the United States in Friday's opening foursomes.

The pair, who won the first point as Europe won at Gleneagles in 2014, tee off at 13:35 BST against Jordan Spieth and Patrick Reed.

Rory McIlroy and Andy Sullivan face Phil Mickelson and Rickie Fowler, Sergio Garcia and Martin Kaymer take on Jimmy Walker and Zach Johnson, while Thomas Pieters and Lee Westwood play Dustin Johnson and Matt Kuchar.

Alright, folks. Crappy conditions but it's Masters week.

Im working today but I've taken off tomorrow.

Who you all got? I'm saying Spieth wins it. I may have taken DJ but I'm not sure how serious his fall was.

Got a few outside bets on Koepka, Reed and Kaymer. Fowler is my "to win" player at 23/1.

Think McIlroy has a really good shot though, taking his apparent preparation into account. I'll be watching as much as I possibly can.

I would love to see Fowler win it. He's in such a better spot this year, mentally, than he was last year. I would be pleasantly surprised if he's within range on Sunday.

I just feel like the way Spieth dominated last year is a tell sign that he is going to own this course for a while. His meltdown last year was legendary, but I just don't see it happening again. I'd like it to be competitive, but I can see him winning this year by two or three strokes.

That said, the wind is gusting up to 40 mph there, so it may not matter how well he's mastered (heh heh) the course.

Sergio Garcia has done a wonderful job of getting into the lead, blowing it, and bringing it back to get a share of the lead.

Meanwhile Danny Willett is likely going to miss the cut.

No money on him, but I'm always hoping Sergio finally gets his major if one of the guys I have backed fail to get it done!

There was a stat posted earlier saying Westwood is "top" with 75 majors without a win, Garcia in 2nd with 73.

I'll just have to flip back and forth tonight between this and the Yanks/O's game.
