Holy fuck.

I went to the last EliteXC show, where he got knocked out by Seth Petruzelli. The crowd was FURIOUS and Kimbo did his best to calm everyone down.

Also a family friend ran into him once, said he was a cool guy.

Kimbo Slice's sudden death Monday night at the age of 42 came after the mixed martial arts star was rushed to the hospital on June 3 having suffered congestive heart failure and a liver mass, according to information provided to the Broward County medical examiner's office by the hospital, via the Sun-Sentinel.

Slice was diagnosed with heart failure and placed on a ventilator in intensive care after being admitted to the hospital due to stomach pains, nausea and shortness of breath.
The medical examiner's report also stated that he died at 7:30 p.m. ET on Monday while being prepared for transfer to a facility in Cleveland where he could be added to an organ donor list as he was in need of a heart transplant at the time of his death.

Damn, that's a pretty dire situation to be in. Found out too late that he had heart problems.

Seems weird how he must have had tons of medicals throughout his MMA career but none of them found a problem with his heart.

It's almost like medical conditions can develop throughout ones life.
