Two matches at next Rise of the Independents show given special stipulations

Reported on Nov 18th, 2004 at 5:43 PM.

Two matches have been given special stipulations in the upcoming ROTI show:

First, Jay Briscoe vs. Mark Briscoe has been made into a 30 Minute Iron Man Match!  Whoever scores the most pinfalls and submissions will win the match!  The question of who the best Briscoe is will be answered!

And secondly, in a not-so-surprising move, the Homicide vs. Trent Acid match has been dubbed as Anything Goes!  ROTI officials felt that a disqualification was imminent had they not made this match Anything Goes, thus the reason for the decision.

Well I had probably TOO MUCH fun writing both the Briscoe vs. Briscoe Iron Man match and the Acid vs. Homicide Anything Goes match but meh...I hope you enjoy the show!

----------------------------------------------------

Rise of the Independents November 20th, 2004: Warzone

We start off the show with what many wrestling fans consider a dream match-up as the Amazing Red takes to the air against fellow high-flier Jack Evans, who is substituting for Teddy Hart.

Amazing Red (1-3) vs. Jack Evans (0-4)

A fantastic back and forth battle here that quickly turned into a game of one-upsmanship. Red was able to hit an F-5 early and go up top for his Infrared! He then hit the Red Star Press but it was a little too early in the match and Evans was able to kick out at 2. Evans came back with a spinning front kick, a trademark move of BOTH men. He then hit a standing 360 shooting star press (!) followed by a standing Infrared! There’s that one-upping! Evans hits a Michinoku Driver and heads up top but gets a spinning front kick from the master of it, Red. Red hits a top rope rana for 2. Evans again comes back, climbing up on Red’s knee and hitting a Fameasser and hitting a top rope Lionsault for a 2. He waits for Red to get up and goes for a dropkick but Red catches him in position for a Wheelbarrow suplex, puts Evans’ head between his legs and sits down, DRIVING Evans into the mat with the Red Spike! That has to be it! He turns him over and covers, one…two…thr..no! Evans somehow gets a shoulder up! Red can’t believe it and waits for Evans to stagger up and goes for the Code Red but Evans holds on and turns it into a Money in the Bank piledriver! One…two….thr..no!! Red kicks out now! What is it going to take for either man to win this match? Evans with a whip to the corner and charges in, he’s caught with a boot from Red, Red gets on the middle buckle and comes off with a swinging Flatliner, Evans takes it right on his head! Red then pulls Evans to the corner and comes off with his old Red Alert phoenix splash but Evans moves. Evans now with a spinning dropkick and then sets Red up for like Jose Maximo’s Skillet Driver. He yanks on Red’s arms, flipping him up and while Red is in mid air, Jack dropkicks him in mid-air!! The fans break out into a “Holy Shit!” chant as Evans basks in the cheers. He then positions Red near the corner and goes up top and hits his breath-taking 630 Splash! 1…2…3! What a high-flying spectacle of a match!

WINNER---Jack Evans

*** ½

Evans gets up and helps Red to his feet and shakes his hand in a show of respect as they have lots in common and pulled off a fine match.

Up next we have the so far very impressive Austin Aries taking on the “Hired Assassin” Dan Maff.

Austin Aries (3-1) vs. Dan Maff (2-2)

Maff uses his size to stay in control early, hitting some power moves including a Samoan drop, a butterfly suplex and the Stiffest Elbow in the Biz. Aries comes back with a stiff running dropkick in the corner. He then goes on the apron and slingshots in with an elbow in the corner. His great gutbuster-STO-pendulum elbowdrop combo gets a close 2. He goes for that Crucifix Whip but Maff powers Aries back over so he is holding Aries horizontally in front of him and then tries for a fallaway slam but Aries lands on his feet and hits a Mr. Perfect style neck snap followed by a big dropkick to the face. He goes to lock in the Rings of Aries but can only get one arm hooked and Maff makes his way to the ropes to break the hold. Maff retreats outside only for Aries to connect with a big corkscrew pescado, almost killing himself in the process. Back in, Aries impressively takes the big man up and plants him down with a brainbuster! He goes up top, maybe for his 450 but Maff crotches him! Aries leans over, his head hanging down and Maff goes to the other side to build up steam and then launches himself with the Cannonball to an upside down Aries! He does the sign for the Burning Hammer and goes for it but Aries grabs onto the top rope and won’t let go! Maff lets him down and tries to grab at Aries but Aries grabs the ref and all 3 men can’t get out of each other’s way. Aries finally shoves the ref away and punts Maff right in the lower nutsack region! He gets behind Maff and takes him over with that Crucifix Whip and as the ref gets down and counts Aries grabs Maff’s tights for extra leverage and gets a cheap 3 count! By hook or crook, Aries defeats Dan Maff!

WINNER---Austin Aries

***

Maff is superr-pissed as Aries quickly rolls out of the ring. Maff wants a piece of him but the ref holds him back and ushers him back to the locker room. Aries apparently isn’t done here tonight, as he has the mic:

Aries: “Everybody knows I don’t talk too much, I let my actions inside this ring do my talking for me. (slight applause) “But I have a special shout-out to make to someone. So SAMOA JOE, if you’re listening, and I’m sure you are, no matter where you go on the Indy circuit, I’m only one step behind you. And next week is when I catch up. Next week it’s me vs. you and there’s no stopping the “Wrestling Machine.” I watched your match with Maff last week and I just had a WAY easier time beating him than you did and I KNOW I can beat YOU as well! So Joe you have 7 days to contemplate how you are going to take your first major singles loss in about a year, but one thing’s for sure, one name will keep popping into your head and that’s Austin Aries.”

Aries drops the mic and the followers of Aries applaud him respectfully as he exits the arena.

Right now we have a possible technical masterpiece on our hands now as the wily veteran Jerry Lynn battles “Hurricane” John Walters!

Jerry Lynn (2-2) vs. John Walters (2-2)

Very good technical exchange to open the contest but Jerry uses his speed to get an advantage with quick ranas and armdrags. He gets close near-falls with an inverted DDT, a swinging DDT and a top rope rana until Walters is able to counter the Cradle Piledriver with a Concrete Crash. Walters hits his Piggyback Stunner for 2. He then focuses on the back area of Lynn with numerous suplexes and backbreakers. Lynn gets a brief comeback when he gets his foot up in the mush of Walters and hits a leaping bulldog. He goes for a TKO but Walters escapes and hits the Lung Blower! Cover, 1…2…no! Lynn kicks out of it. Walters then locks in a Sharpshooter and Lynn might tap! He crawls towards the ropes and is almost there but it looks like he will tap! But instead he fights it out and makes the rope! Walters goes right back to it with knees to the back. A German suplex with a bridge gets a CLOSE 2 count. He goes right back to the Sharpshooter and again Lynn is punished in the hold for another 20-30 seconds before again reaching the ropes! Walters looks a bit frustrated and goes for the knocSuckt blow, looking to hit the Hurricane DDT but as he turns Lynn over for the DDT, Lynn armdrags Walters over! He kicks him in the gut and goes for the Cradle Piledriver, Walters backdrops but Lynn holds on into a sunset flip, 1-2-no Walters reverses into a pin of his own, 1-2-no Lynn takes him back down into a pin, 1-2-no, Walters rolls out and again grabs the legs to try and lock in the Sharpshooter a third time. But Lynn reaches up and pulls Walters over into an inside cradle out of nowhere and gets the surprise 3 count! The veteran does it again!

WINNER---Jerry Lynn

****

Walters can’t believe it, asking the ref if it was indeed a 3. He then gets up and him and Lynn come face to face before shaking hands, great show of sportsmanship by Walters, even on the losing end!

Backstage the Briscoes are talking to each other while warming up. They are so accustomed to warming up and preparing together and strategizing as a team but tonight they face each other, in a 30 Minute Iron Man Match no less!

Back to the ring we go as we have 2 guys going one on one that are on quite a losing streak as of late, both at 0-4!

Matt Stryker (0-4) vs. Xavier (0-4)

A good opening sequence gets us into this match, Stryker takes control and works over the leg of Xavier in typical Stryker fashion. Xavier comes back with a leg lariat and a few clotheslines and goes for Kiss Your X Goodbye early but Stryker reverses and hits a German suplex for a 1 and a half count. He goes right back to work on the leg with a Dragon screw and a leg vice with an anklelock. Xavier squirms to the ropes. Stryker lets go and then drags Xavier back with an anklelock but Xavier is able to stand on his free leg and hit an enziguri. He hits that inverted Samoan drop of his and then backs Stryker into the corner and goes for some of those high knee strikes but he hurts his leg coming down on it. So he beats Stryker down with fists and hits that slingshot knee to the face. He spends the next few minutes in control getting a few near-falls. He powerslams Stryker down and goes up top for his 450 splash but he spends too much time up there, contemplating if his leg will hold up and Stryker comes dashing up the turnbuckles ala Kurt Angle and takes Xavier over with a belly to belly superplex. Back suplex and Lionsault gets 2 for Stryker. He goes for his Death Valley Driver but Xavier slips behind him and hits Kiss Your X Goodbye! He covers but Stryker kicks out and 2 and a half! Xavier now goes for the X Breaker but Stryker rolls through the momentum and hits the DVD! He’s tired but is able to make the cover but he took too much time, Xavier kicks out. Stryker then does the thumb across thro..er..unibrow taunt signifying this may be the end for Xavier. He locks in the Stryker Lock! Xavier yells in pain but he claws his way slowly across the mat and finally reaches the bottom rope! Stryker is frustrated now and deviates from his game plan, going up top. He comes off for a flying legdrop but Xavier moves! They both stagger up and Xavier with a boot to the gut, hits a powerbomb and holds on, into an overhead fallaway powerbomb, landing Stryker flapjack-style, he’s going for that 3 move combo of his! He then floats over and tries for the piledriver but Stryker grabs the arm and twists behind Xavier and hits a German suplex, holds on and hits another and still holds on! He then hits a 3rd German suplex and attempts a bridge but he’s too fatigued and the referee slaps BOTH his hands 3 times on the mat! What happened? The ref talks it over with the ring announcer who then announces that we have a draw! What a disappointment for both men!

WINNER---None (Double pin---draw)

**** ½

Both men get up and to everybody’s surprise, XAVIER offers his hand to Stryker! This HAS to be a trap! Stryker looks around, unsure and accepts Xavier’s hand and Xavier then leaves the ring. A show of sportsmanship from Xavier? What’s going on here?

Onto the next match here as Samoa Joe takes on a man who can probably hit just as hard as he can, BJ Whitmer!

Samoa Joe (3-1) vs. BJ Whitmer (3-1)

This one is expected to be stiff as fuck, and it does not disappoint! Right from the beginning these guys trade thunderous forearms and slaps back and forth, BJ surprisingly backs Joe up and whips him to the corner and hits a charging high knee and then snapmares Joe over and kicks him in the back! Joe of course no sells that and gets right up, peppering Whitmer with more slaps. He goes to whip BJ to the corner, BJ reverses and comes in for another high knee but Joe plants him down with an STO! He then snapmares BJ over with a kick to the back, a chop to the back, a kick to the chest and then finally the kneedrop off the ropes to finish up the combo. He stands BJ up and hits some knees to the gut, Kawada-style and then finishes with a big enziguri kick. He gets BJ up for an Island Driver but BJ escapes and hits a superkick to stagger Joe and then a release German suplex! He goes for a Dragon suplex but Joe keeps blocking, so BJ winds up and hits a HARD roaring elbow to the back of the head and then DRAGON SUPLEXES JOE! He holds something of a bridge but Joe is out at 2. BJ now with a snap suplex and holds on into a Northern Lights suplex for 2 again. He goes up top but misses a diving headbutt. They both get up at a 6 count from the ref and Joe is pissed now, grabbing BJ by the hair and hitting numerous headbutts and then whips him off the ropes and hits a powerslam! 2 count there. Joe now goes for the Muscle Buster but BJ somehow breaks free and hits some stiff forearms and then plants Joe with an Exploder! He covers, one…two…NO! Joe kicks out! Perhaps if BJ had used his Wrist Clutch version, he might have had him! As if BJ hears this, he goes for that deadly Dragon Exploder he used on Jay Briscoe last time but Joe elbows BJ in, where else, the NOSE and hits a big roundhouse enziguri that would make Jinsei Shinzaki proud! BJ staggers back but stays on his feet and charges Joe but Joe hits a spinning leg sweep, taking BJ over and onto his face. Joe then waits for BJ to get up before charging across the ring and BLASTING him with a huge LARIATOOOOOOOOOO!! He makes the cover, 1…2…3! Samoa Joe wins a hell of a fight!

WINNER---Samoa Joe

***

Joe leaves the ring and the camera is in his face as he goes towards the back. He looks into the camera and says:

Joe: “Austin Aries….you want Samoa Joe? Take a good look at BJ Whitmer and ask yourself the same question. I’ll see you next week chump.”

Joe then disappears through the curtain as the fans respectfully applaud the efforts of Whitmer as he leaves.

Homicide has some words for Trent Acid in the backstage area.

Homicide: “Trent Acid, I used to think you were nothin’ but a punk-ass lil’ bitch. But then we faced each other in some of the most brutal matches people has ever seen. So I gained a lil bit of respect for you. A little. So tonight, why don’ we go out there and prove we 2 of the best in the business, Anything Goes, we’ll find out who the better man is. “The Superstar from South Philly, Japan” versus “Notorious 187” Homicide, gangsta style, you best bring it cuz you know I will, byah!”

Now we have the much-anticipated 30 Minute Iron Man match, brother vs. brother, Briscoe vs. Briscoe, Jay vs. Mark!

Jay Briscoe (2-2) vs. Mark Briscoe (2-2)---30 Minute Iron Man Match

We see a nice 6-7 minutes of chain wrestling, a feeling out process. You may ask why these 2 even NEED a feeling out process but you gotta think these two might employ different strategies then their brothers might expect out of them? Anyways, Mark breaks it wide open with a jumping back heel kick to the back of Jay’s head as he was bent over. He goes for several quick pinfalls but Jay escapes them all and Mark takes him down with a clothesline. Mark hits 2 Sambo suplexes for a 2. A spinning heel kick and a leg lariat gets 2 again. Jay comes back with a beautiful dropkick and then a running boot to the face of a seated Mark. Clothesline in the corner and a sitout Gordbuster by Jay gets 2. Jay goes for a spinebuster but Mark counters and spikes Jay with a DDT! He boosts Jay up top and goes for a superplex perhaps but he gets shoved by Jay. Jay then stands up but gets crotched by a recovering Mark. Mark then positions both of Jay’s legs on the same side of the turnbuckle and then goes out onto the apron, going for his Springboard Ace Crusher but Jay holds on and Mark crashes to the mat. Jay gets down and makes Mark backflip from the impact of a big Yakuza kick! He calls for the J-Driller and goes for it but Mark blocks and trips Jay, somersaulting over and hooking the legs, 1-2-3! Mark draws first blood with a quick rollup, but more importantly, he COUNTERED the J-Driller!

Mark Briscoe leads 1-0 at 10:47.

There’s a 15 second rest period in which Jay just looks in shock across the ring at his brother but nods in understanding. The rest period concludes and they circle each other and go for a lockup but Jay switches up at the last second with a rake to the eyes! Hey, whatever does the trick! He quickly scoops Mark up and plants him with a Death Valley Driver! He goes up top and hits a big flying legdrop and covers, 1…2…no! Mark kicks out. Jay gets him up again and hits a neckbreaker for 2 again. A powerbomb gets yet another 2. He goes upstairs but misses his Cannonball Senton. Mark hits his old Five Star Moonsault for a 2. He goes for his Cut-Throat Driver but Jay escapes, kick to the gut and another powerbomb for another 2. He goes for the J-Driller again but Mark counters it again by grabbing Jay’s arm and twisting out, he whips Jay to the ropes and goes for a rana but Jay counters THAT with a THIRD powerbomb, 1…2…NO! Jay Mark kicks out but those powerbombs are really starting to do some damage! Jay though immediately picks Mark up and hits a brutal sitout powerbomb, folding Mark up and that’s enough to get him his first fall! Jay used this same strategy to defeat Jimmy Rave at CZW Best of the Best 3 and it worked here against Mark too!

Jay Briscoe ties at 1-1 at 14:49.

The 15 seconds runs out and Jay pounces on Mark immediately, going for ANOTHER powerbomb but Mark backdrops him. Mark then runs off the ropes with a HUGE lariat! He covers but Jay kicks out at 2! Mark has an angry glint in his eyes. He goes out onto the apron and hits a springboard dropkick on Jay as he gets up. Jay is down and Mark again goes onto the apron and this time hits a springboard kneedrop and then stands Jay up and hits the Cut-Throat Driver DANGEROUS! He turns Jay over, 1-2-3! Mark again takes the lead!

Mark Briscoe leads at 2-1 at 18:28.

Jay barely gets his wits about him as the 15 second rest period comes to an end. Mark is all over his brother and hits a quick DDT but Jay kicks out at 2. Mark then stands Jay up and goes for a second Cut-Throat Driver but Jay escapes that, ducks a clothesline and hits a sort of Yakuza dropkick and that took the last of his strength, both men are down! The ref applies the double count now and gets to 9 before the crowd rallies both men up to their feet. They trade shots back and forth, Jay ducks a swing from his brother and tries to back suplex Mark out of the ring, Mark lands on the apron and tries to suplex JAY out of the ring to the floor but Jay also lands on the apron and they grapple, each trying to toss the other to the floor. In the struggle though they both try to take each other off at the same time and they both end up eating the steel guardrail! They are both down and the ref starts applying the count. They start getting up and at 9 they are standing and ready to fight again but they look at the ref and then at each other and both dive back in before the 10! Jay is first up and boots Mark in the head and hits a folding powerbomb, his 5th of the match! Mark kicks out at 2 though! Jay can’t believe it and goes for Mark’s own Cut-Throat Driver but Mark escapes, boots Jay in the gut and hits the J-Driller on JAY! The fans go nuts but Mark is unable to cover! He finally does, 1…2…thre…NO!! Jay’s foot is on the bottom rope! He’s still alive in this thing! Mark can’t believe it, arguing with the ref that it was 3 and at the same time wasting valuable time! Jay is able to drag himself up with help from the ropes. Mark runs and goes for his Climbing Shining Wizard but Jay avoids the knee strike and chops Mark as Mark is now sitting on the top rope. Jay then surveys the situation before going out on the apron and springboarding and hitting Mark’s own Springboard Ace Crusher on him! He uses this adrenaline to pull Mark up and hit a Falcon Arrow but it was more like a Steiner Screwdriver DANGEROUS! He hooks a leg and gets a 3 to tie it up with 2 minutes left!

Jay Briscoe ties at 2-2 at 27:56.

Both men use the 15 second rest period well and both stagger to their feet. They come together as the rest period ends, duking it out like two hated enemies! Jay backs up and goes for a Yakuza kick but Mark ducks and hits a leg lariat! He then pulls Jay out of the ropes and positions him for a big move. He confirms this and yells out “Shooting Star” and climbs up top. He is about to go for it but Jay shakes the middle rope trying to climb to his feet and then the top one and Mark gets crotched! Jay then climbs up as the ring announcer lets us know there’s only 1 minute to go! They jockey for position up top as Jay looks like he is going for a superplex but Mark hits shots to the gut and tries for maybe a superbomb but Jay fights out of that. He then butterflies the arms, Oh My God, you don’t think….no he can’t….J-DRILLER OFF THE TOP DANGEROOUUUUUUSSSS!!!!! The crowd goes ape shit at this as Jay barely drapes an arm over Mark, 1-2-3! Jay takes the lead and there’s only 20 seconds left!

Jay Briscoe leads at 3-2 at 29:41

Both men don’t even attempt to get up as the time runs out and Jay Briscoe has won the damndest Iron Man match ever!

WINNER---Jay Briscoe

**** ½

The fans chant “Briscoes! Briscoes!” as the two finally are able to make it to their feet. They shake hands and embrace as the fans continue chanting their name. They exit the ring and allow fans to congratulate them on a damn fine match.

Up next we have would should be an interesting contest between “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles and the “New Age Punisher” B-Boy. But I’ll tell you, they have a tough act to follow!

AJ Styles (4-0) vs. B-Boy (2-2)

AJ wants to start off with a feeling out process but B-Boy not-so-politely tells him that’s not in the cards with a stiff kick to the leg. AJ returns in kind and the 2 trade leg kicks until they can barely stand. They then lock up collar and elbow and B-Boy forces AJ back to the corner and lays in with a stiff chop, AJ responds with a forearm so B-Boy hits a series of hard forearms. He backs up and hits a running big boot to AJ and AJ slumps down in the corner. B-Boy runs for the Facelift early but AJ sees him coming and quickly gets the fuck out of that corner! They circle again and AJ hits a boot to the gut and some forearms and then a quick scoop slam and a high impact kneedrop off the ropes. He then hits his suplex turned into a neckbreaker for an early 2. AJ is in control working over the midsection mostly. He goes for a crucifix bomb but B-Boy wriggles free, ducks a discus lariat and floors AJ with a palm strike and then hits a brainbuster for a 2 count. He sits AJ up and hits a stiff kick to the spine for another 2. He then goes for the Cross Special Brainbuster but AJ escapes behind B-Boy, hits a German suplex and holds on and goes for that sitout facebuster of his but B-Boy backs AJ into the corner, hits a running forearm and as AJ slumps down, B-Boy backs up and this time takes AJ’s face off with the Facelift running STIFF-ASS dropkick. He pulls AJ out and covers but AJ kicks out at 2. He has AJ up for a version of the Hurricane DDT but AJ escapes, knees B-Boy in the gut and hits a brainbuster! He slowly gets up, followed closely by B-Boy. He then moonsaults off the middle rope and goes for that inverted DDT but B-Boy twists around into a sitout inverted DDT of his own for 2 and ¾! He backs up and waits for AJ to start getting up. AJ does and sticks one knee out as bait. B-Boy charges for his Shining Wizard but AJ catches him in it and goes for the Styles Clash, what a counter, but no B-Boy lifts himself back up and escapes behind AJ but as he turns around AJ hits that beautiful backflip Pele Kick! Both men take time coming around and they get up, trading forearms, B-Boy backs up and goes for a palm strike but AJ catches the arm and maneuvers around into a hammerlock and then folds B-Boy up on his head with that Hammerlock Backdrop Driver of his! AJ senses the end is near and goes out to the apron and leaps maybe for his springboard 450 Splash but B-Boy is able to cut him off and push AJ’s feet out from under him and AJ falls stomach-first on the top rope, knocking the wind out of himself! He falls into the ring and B-Boy hits a big Death Valley Driver and then goes across the ring, waits for AJ to get to a knee and then BAM! Shining Wizard! B-Boy covers, one…two…three! B-Boy ends AJ’s undefeated streak!

WINNER---B-Boy

*** ¼

B-Boy waits for AJ to get to his feet and the 2 shake hands, great competitive match!

It’s main event time boys and girls and judging from the past encounters between Trent Acid and Homicide, this is a must-see! Homicide comes out, all business. Acid then makes his way to the ring, but way more serious than he usually is, no letting girls shove money down his pants tonight. Also interesting to note no mocking Homicide like in their previous matches. This should be off the page!

Trent Acid (2-2) vs. Homicide (4-0)---Anything Goes Match

The two come face to face in the middle of the ring and jaw-jack at each other. Acid then points to the ropes and then slaps his leg, what is he saying? We get our answer as Homicide runs off the ropes and Acid LETS Homicide Yakuza kick him! Acid staggers back and then runs off the ropes and hits his own Yakuza kick on Homicide! Homicide staggers but doesn’t fall and hits another Yakuza kick! Acid then hits another one on Homicide! They both run off the ropes now and double Yakuza kick each other! The fans applaud them as they both get to their feet. Homicide runs and misses a Yakuza kick, Acid then tries one but misses also, Homicide blocks a punch, tries a Koji Cutter, Acid pushes him off, goes for a roaring elbow but Homicide ducks THAT and dropkicks Acid to the outside! He then runs off the ropes and hits the Tope Con Hilo to the floor on Acid! Homicide then takes a fork out of his pocket! Some front row fans start a “You sick fuck” chant and Homicide encourages them! He takes the fork and tries to stab Acid but Acid blocks it and kicks Homicide below the belt and then grabs the fork and stabs Homicide numerous times, busting him open! They brawl over the guardrail and into the fans, hitting each other with chairs galore. They brawl towards the back where the merchandise table is, Acid gets control and slams Homicide’s head on the table and then superkicks him down. Acid then climbs the bleachers next to the merchandise table and moonsaults off onto Homicide! A small “Holy Shit” chant breaks out as Acid drags Homicide back towards the ring. Back over the guardrail now and Acid builds a chair fort with about 10 chairs. He then places Homicide on it and goes in the ring. He climbs to the top rope and comes off, switches directions in mid-air and splashes down on Homicide with the Bad Trip on all the chairs! “Holy Shit” chant # 2 breaks out. Acid reaches under the ring and gets a table and sets it up and then tosses 2 of the chairs into the ring. He isn’t done yet though and now takes out a ladder from under the ring and shoves that in too!

He grabs Homicide and pushes him into the ring and follows. He goes for a suplex, Homicide goes up and over, waistlock, Acid reverses, tries to German Homicide over, Homicide lands on his feet though, kicks Acid in the gut and hits a piledriver! Homicide then grabs the ladder and leans it in the corner. He then grabs a chair and slams it over Acid’s back! He pulls Acid up by the hair and scoops him up, maybe going for a running powerslam onto the ladder but Acid escapes, lifts Homicide up and runs with a Blue Thunder Driver on the ladder!! Homicide writhes in pain on the mat as Acid gets up. He goes outside and moves the timekeeper’s table a little, obviously with something in mind. He then gets in and sees Homicide getting up so he gets a chair and hits Homicide over the back with it. He turns Homicide over onto his back and places the chair over Homicide’s face. He then springs off the second rope and hits a Tumbleweed legdrop, driving the chair into Homicide’s face! Acid then grabs that chair and the other one and sets them both up in sitting position and then places the ladder to make a bridge over the 2 chairs. He grabs Homicide and looks like he’s going for a Cop Killa but Homicide escapes and hits an overhead belly to belly suplex. He sits Acid on the turnbuckles and climbs up and then grabs Acid’s head and leaps backwards with a 2nd rope Koji Cutter onto the ladder! Acid now squirms in pain, holding his ribs as Homicide then rolls Acid outside and onto one of the tables. He then gets in and goes to the top rope and hits a DOUBLE STOMP off the top THROUGH THE TABLE on the outside! The crowd breaks into “Holy Shit” chant # 3 and we’re calling the funeral home to prepare a gravesite for a Trent Acid.

Homicide drags Acid’s almost lifeless body into the ring and covers, 1…2…thr..NO!! Acid kicked out of that! Hooolllyyyy fuuuuuuuuuuccckk! (Copyright Dave Prazak, 2002) Homicide can’t believe it either but the ref verifies that he does in fact know the difference between 2 and 3. Homicide shakes his head in disbelief and tries to drag Acid to his feet but Acid is dead weight. Homicide drops him and turns around, playing to the crowd. But all of a sudden Acid gets up and hits a Yakuza kick to Homicide as he turns back around! Quick cover, one, two, no! Acid almost surprised him there! Acid sets up a chair in sitting position and then whips Homicide to the corner, running double knees to the chest and then props Homicide up and takes him off with an Acid Bomb onto the open chair! Acid now sets Homicide up on a turnbuckle again, right above the other table! He goes out onto the apron, but Homicide is facing the opposite way? Acid sits on Homicide’s shoulders and then falls backwards and takes Homicide THROUGH THE TABLE WITH A REVERSE RANA!!! “Holy Shit” chant # 4 starts up, followed by a “Please Don’t Die” chant as well. Hey Paul London isn’t in the building! Acid struggles to his feet and pushes Homicide into the ring, cover, 1…2…NO! Homicide gets his foot on the rope! Acid holds his head, wondering how in the hell he is going to beat Homicide! He bridges the ladder over the 2 chairs again and then grabs a 3rd one from ringside. He waits for Homicide to get up and tosses it at him, Homicide catches and Acid tries to Yakuza Kick the chair into Homicide but Cide holds the chair up and steps aside, Acid sends the chair flying and then turns into a BRUTAL LARIAT from Homicide! Homicide then sits Acid in the corner and places the chair in front of his face and runs across the ring and back in with his running knee, sending the chair into Acid’s face with a sickening “SMACK!” He then pulls Acid up by the hair, goes behind him and grabs the arms and KILLS Acid with a COP KILLA ON THE LADDER BRIDGE!! Acid is dead! Homicide covers and finally the ref counts, 1-2-3! Homicide wins the best match in ROTI history so far!

WINNER---Homicide

**** ½

A bloody Homicide staggers to his feet and stands triumphant over Acid as the ref raises his hand. Homicide stares down at Acid and then bends down and gently smacks Acid on the cheek to revive him. Acid opens his eyes and sees Homicide and Homicide beats his chest in a show of respect to Acid and then leaves the ring and we go off the air as the chants of “Match of the Year” ring throughout the arena….

END OF SHOW.

Also I'd like for Azrael to come forward and tell me how to remove the cameras from my house because SOMEHOW he predicted a draw between Xavier and Stryker  Haha. Anyways, again I hope you enjoyed the show!
