Pokémon

Recommended Posts

I'm currently playing through (in celebration of the 10th anniversary):

Blue - Just beat Lt. Surge.

Yellow - Have obtained Pikachu.

Crystal - In Goldenrod City.

Colosseum - 48 Snagged. Going to get me my Ho-oh.

XD - About to save Nett. Long way to go.

On the more recent games, I've completed my 'dexes as much as possible.

LeafGreen: 382 - Missing Mew, Celebi, Ho-oh & Lugia

Emerald: 383 - Missing Mew, Ho-oh & Lugia

Ruby: 187 - Work in progress...

Also, I have Sapphire and Emerald on the way from eBay and am getting a Surfing Pichu from Pokémon Box, so all in all a very Pokémonth March looks to be (February's almost over...).

Yellow - Have obtained Pikachu.

So you've, uh, started the game then. :P

I've only got Yellow, and may be tempted to start a game up again...it's just I've played it so many times. I'm sick of not being allowed to get a Raichu, or a Meowth, or even an Ekans.

Perhaps if I come across them for a couple of quid I'll finally pick up Red and/or Blue...and then another Gameboy. And a link cable. Oh-ho. :shifty:

There is more than one way to play the Pokemon games, you know.

I know, and on my old computer I used to have all the ROMs. But it's just not the same...

Way, way, way, way back in the day I had Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, and Silver. After that it got old and I just sold them to some kid I knew. I loved it when I had them though, I had all the games for 64 and Cube but once again, I sold them. The cartoon I thought was shit just because Pikachu was annoying as fuck...Charmander on the other hand is the fucking shit.

In Emerald, I did a Single Pokemon game using Sceptile. 'Twas awesome - the damn thing was at level 60 by the time I got to Flannery's gym, and about 75 by the 'Elite' Four.

No offence, but that Sceptile sucks, I raised once since the start of the game, along with five others, and it was level 78 after beating the Elite 4.

Gwahaha, I just left Mount Moon and have a mighty Nidoking already ^_^

Did you evolve your Nidorino right after it evolved from Nidoran?

No, I waited a few levels, I beat Misty using Nidorino and then evolved it after so I wouldn't have a type disadvantage going into the battle (Y) It's going to be TM'd most of its moves anyway so early evolution doesn't matter much.

I'm getting pokéroused, and I'm almost dying to update my pokédiary. I think it may be time to start up my VBA again. After I finish three lab reports due for Friday. And something else which I've forgotten. And something else after that (seriously).

I celebrated by watching Toonami's Pokemonathon two days I was off college during half-term. I never truly realised how crap the animé was. Still, James > *.

Of course that's who they meant. *headslaps*

A Wynaut Mirror Coat wall, hehe. I mean, less animé...more diary writing.

Did you not choose Mudkip? Or capture a Geodude? It learns Magnitude early. Nip back to Dewford and grab a Geodude from the cave.

Treko actualy. and he's evolved. And I realy don't like to use Geodudes so much anymore mostly since i used them quite often in Red. I like to make a different team with each game that may be similar to the others but not identicle in anyway. In Red I had an ass kicking team that consisted of Blastoise, Raichu, Golem, Alakazam that I'd alt with Beedrill or Mewtwo, Vileplume I think it was (the big version of oddish whatever it was), and a Primeape (that I would alt with a Raticate that I had TMed to know Bubble Beam for taking out Rock and ghost types.)

If you don't wanna use Geodude, your Aron should have Mud-Slap, Level that up.

Yeah he does know Mudslap, but he's not a high enough level yet, I'm working on him though.

Anyhow here is my current team.

lvl 17 Aron

lvl 16 Poochyena

lvl 19 Grovyle

lvl 19 Dustox

lvl 20 Sableye

lvl 16 Electrike

I've also got a lvl 15 Wingull sitting in a box that

EDIT: It took a couple hours of training but I was eventualy able to beat him. Got Aron and Electrike up to level 20 and evolved the Poochyena and that did the trick. Aron being half steel type still takes prety good damage from electric types so he realy wasn't that much help. Since all of 3rd gym's Pokemon know shock wave which never missess no matter how many times you hit them with mud-slap. He'd just go down after 2 hits. Now I've made my way past all the volcanic ash and I beleive I saved for the night just as I reached the next town.

Anime: I saw the first season like 3 times, stopped watching after that.

Gameboy games: I loved the GameBoy games with the 151

GBA games: I wanna play leafgreen...

Cube games: Played a demo, it was meh.

DS games: N/A

Movies: The first movie honestly made me cry (in Seventh Grade, mind you) with the whole race supremacy analogy. When Pikachu stopped fighting Pikachuu (SW Thrawn Trilogy reference >_>) I was BAWLING.

Anime: First season was ok. It used to piss me off that he trained up Pokemon and let them go. Like Butterfree, and Primeape, and possibly Bulbasaur. Also pissed me off that Charmander got to Charizard, but neither Squirtle or Bulbasaur evolved at all, although Bulbasaur was teh gay and wouldn't :shifty: Other sries just seemed tired and too similar to the first.

Gameboy games: The originals were awesome.

GBA games: Leafgreen/Firered are best. Things got over complicated with the night/day and days of the week stuff in the other games.

Cube games: Never played.. Never wanted to. Don't feel like I've missed out on a lot.

DS games: See "Cude games"

Movies: Never saw them. Going to see the movies was too much....

Guest We Are Robots

Animé: Awful. Ash is the worst protagonist in Anime history. I blame the Anime for the downfall of Pokemon's megapopularity

Gameboy games: Awesome.

GBA games: Awesomer.

Cube games: Not that terrible but far from Pokemon standards.

DS games: Probably going to be awesome

Movies: See Anime

So, Ranger came out on the internets a few days ago, and only features 218/386 Pokémon, and no new Diamond & Pearl Pokémon. Still cool anyways.
