So I've been playing Rise of the Tomb Raider. I was blown away by the last one but it's become painfully obvious to me it's just the same thing over and over and I'm kinda over it.

Well, I did see Far Cry Primal as an expensive Far Cry 4 DLC. Looks like they used the same map template.

Dunno if it was posted already but you can complete Far Cry 4 by not doing anything at the start. If you just hang around waiting for the bad guy for like 15 minutes he comes back into the room and says "Oh, you can spread those ashes now"

Nope, 4 is set in The Himalayas whilst Primal is meant to be in Central Europe.

They used the same map for Primal, but it wasn't even meant to be a main series game - it's bridging between 4 and 5 basically and I think the aesthetic is enough that 99% of people wouldn't have noticed without someone pointing it out.

Would rather they just focused on 5 and worked on making something to advance the gameplay. 4 was  pretty much 3.5.

I dunno. Primal would've have a shorter production schedule and would've interested people a whole lot more than "Oh, another game. With guns. Okay then."
