@Mesut timmozil and I once did our own World Tag Grand Prix with either 32 or 64 teams. We simmed a group stage preliminary round, followed by a knockout stage and everything.

I think The Outsiders ended up winning...

In the same vein, I ran a three-stage (two group stages leading to a knockout stage) tournament with every single preset character in FPR (all 327 of them).

The finals, Andre the Giant went over Lou Thesz.

Also, Manabu Nakanishi made it to the final eight.

CHIP LOVECRAFT

So here's a little bit more info of what those of you (us?) getting it on the PC will be able to do with early access:

http://www.pcgamer.com/heres-what-fire-pro-wrestling-world-is-bringing-to-steam-early-access/

I so challenge @thatshortguy to an Electric Current Blast Deathmatch, ASAP.

Also, turn-around short-range lariat? You gettin' a Rainmaker, fool!

All of those were match types in Fire Pro Returns. I wonder if MMA mode is an umbrella for the PRIDE/K-1/UFC match types or what.

Really? I don't remember an Electric Current Blast Deathmatch at all. But it's also been like seven years since I sat down to play it, too.

That's the exploding barbed wire deathmatch.

Yeeeeeah, this is just looking like Fire Pro Returns more and more.

Eh, it's Early Access. They did rebuild the engine from scratch, so there's that.

Also there IS new stuff. Strike battle mechanic, dedicated pin button, finisher stealing(!), NINE LAYERS PER ITEM(~!) new costume parts and (potentially) four costumes per edit.

All that is really awesome even for people like me who would be happy with just new moves (OH YEAH THERES GONNA BE NEW MOVES TOO, PROPER RAINMAKER!)

Sold.

Is this just gonna be on Steam or is it getting a console release? Cuz now I really want Fire Pro on Switch.

I've been rallying for Switch from the start, having it on the go would at least be something else that draws me to it over playing the game that already exists with the roster I want on the PS3.

So, new deets:

-MMA mode is "Gruesome Fighting" aka UFC style. No mention of in-ring MMA mode.

-Online Mode will be 1v1 on Early Access launch with plans to expand

-MOVING TO THE ROPES TO FORCE A BREAK

-Ability to rename not just finishers but also signature moves(!)
