  1. Thanks, I'll have to give it a look. I think I unfolded it and gave it a glance then just put it right back in the case.
  2. Anyone else encountered some random stuff happening? I was finishing up for the night so I was going to save my game when all of a sudden these horses come blasting around the corner with guys firing guns off in the air. They were dragging someone behind them who was screaming. At first I thought that maybe this was a mission or something but they just went through town and continued on their way. Also where do you find the cougar? The biggest animal I've seen so far is a buck. I'm guessing that certain animals are only in certain areas maybe?
  3. Yeah I haven't been able to do anything related to online. I tried putting in my Assassin's outfit code and the Social Club deal, neither worked. The servers will probably be sorted out soon but I'm also guessing this game sold pretty well so probably the online portion is a little flooded at the moment.
  4. I've played about an hour of the game so far and it's been fantastic. It looks great, the voice acting is top notch, and the combat is pretty fun. I'm certainly looking forward to playing it for an extended amount of time.
  5. Well I made the mistake of going to the Gamefaqs board for the game. Multiple topics had end game spoilers in the topic title.
  6. I downloaded the demo for this game and really loved it. I'm certainly going to be looking at buying it eventually. The last FIFA game I played was '09 and I hated it. If I could find my copy I'd still be playing FIFA '01 on the PC.
  7. I finally got around to finishing "The Ballad of Gay Tony". I bought it when it came out last year and did maybe 6-7 missions then never picked it up again. I really enjoyed it and felt it was just as good as Lost and Damned. Both were a perfect complement to the main GTA IV experience. I really enjoyed the whole GTA IV package. It was top notch in my opinion and easily the best experience I've had on the 360. Now that I'm done with that, i've really got to finish more stuff that i've purchased. I've got three Wii games that I haven't touched in a while along with the second season of Sam & Max which I've barely started. Hopefully the summer will give me a chance to finish some things.
  8. The more I've been watching videos of the multiplayer and hearing people talk about it, I think i'll give it a shot once I finish the single player portion. It seems like there's a good amount of variety especially with the free roam deal.
  9. I can't tell you how happy I was to see Rua win. My friends and I watched both the first fight and this one last night together and we both agreed he won the first one. When Lyoto went down we all jumped up and watched him get his head smashed. It was fantastic. As far as the other fights, I was disappointed that Kimbo lost as I like the guy. He's got a good attitude but just didn't get into the sport young enough. Koscheck is a douche and a half and he continues to prove that. Daley shouldn't have hit him but Koscheck shouldn't be trying to cheat towards a win either. Stout/Stevens and Belcher/Whoever the other guy was were solid fights. Better than you normally get on a card with such a big main event. I'm not going to order the next card with Rampage but I'll probably go see it at a sports bar or something. That should to be a fun fight.

    UFC 2010

The doctor stoppage thing is a little weird to me. I decided to experiment a little so I got into a single collar tie and unloaded with left hand after left hand until the doctor took a look at it. As soon as the fight started again I did the same thing for an entire round. Rampage's eye look like I hit him with an axe yet the doctor never looked at it again. Then he knocked me out.
  11. I've been following the game since I heard about it a while ago. It's reminding me a lot of the TNA game as some previews said you have to do button sequences like you did in "iMPACT". It'll probably be fun to play for a little but I doubt it'll have a lot of depth. It's a shame I don't have a rental store here so I can try it out when it's released.
  12. ...Schwaa? I like Skate 3. I'll put hours in to it. Red Dead will be great but it's pretty much a play and trade for me. They haven't announced any big DLC for it like they did with GTA IV. I don't really like online play so I'll just trade it in and get some money for it.
  13. I'm really looking froward to this but I imagine I'll beat it and trade it right in. As much as I want to play it, it just comes in at weird time with stuff like Skate 3 and UFC 2010 to play.
  14. Duck Hunt/Super Mario Bros. on the NES.

    UFC 2010

The game is certainly different this year. I like it but as someone said earlier the strikes look like they have no impact. Leg kicks look and sound weak as hell. The ground game is more confusing and they removed the visual cue that you've postured up. Now you have to tell if the guy beneath you is holding you or not. I mean the game plays great and I'm still looking forward to it but it's going to take some getting used to.

    Skate 3

I messed around with the demo a little bit today. Not as good as the demo for Skate 2. You're really confined to a small area. However I'm already back in the groove with flip tricks and grinds. I love the new darkslides, so much fun. I'm certainly ready for the game to come out.
  17. I finally got back into playing games after taking a bit of a break. I hopped on Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for a couple hours today and got in the fighting spirit. I ended up purchasing Super Turbo II HD Remix because of the sale. I like it and all but man I cannot play with the XBOX controller. I played through the arcade mode then hopped online and didn't win a single match which wasn't surprising at all. I also downloaded the Blur multiplayer beta demo. I saw some videos of the game on Giantbomb and it looked sort of neat so I decided to check it out. I've always been a fan of vehicular combat games. It's pretty fun, spent about an hour with it. I get that it's a demo but considering how close it is to the game coming out (May), I hope they beef it up a little. Not much music during the race plus the sound effects are pretty "blah". The gameplay is great though. The cars handle nicely and you get a really nice variety of weapons. Plus once you rank up you can mod your car a little. With Split/Second also coming out (which I hope they do a demo for as well) it seems like an odd time to do a racing game. Not to mention May is jam packed with big releases (Skate 3, UFC 2010, Red Dead Redemption, Alan Wake, Lost Planet 2, and bunch others). I have three of those games pre-ordered so adding in another one like a Blur or Split/Second is pretty expensive. I really do hope Split/Second is good though. To be honest I sort of wish they combined Split/Second and Blur so you have the crazy action sequences of S/S plus the weapons of Blur. You could have done an awesome sort of modern Twisted Metal.

    Skate 3

This year they have a full create a park feature plus more creation tools as far as putting your own graphics on things. I'm guessing the gameplay is the same but I know they have difficulty levels now. One is for those who have a hard time with controls, one is the same from Skate 2 & 1, and the third is like a hardcore thing where you have complete control but also makes it really realistic. Apparently while playing on the hardcore setting you have to be really precise when doing things. I honestly don't mind them leaving the actual controls alone. It was fine with Skate 2. I know they have more tricks which is quite nice. As long as the game has the same variety of challenges as Skate 2 I'm fine with all that. I know some will view it as sort of a "roster update like you get with the regular sports games every year but I think Skate is deep enough where you can play it for hours and still find new things to do.

    Skate 3

Anyone else excited for Skate 3? I played Skate 2 to death. It's the only game I've ever gotten more than 1000 GS points on. The demo for Skate 3 comes out next Thursday and the game comes out in the middle of May. It's part of a loaded May lineup but I'l be playing for sure. I guess the theme this year is teamwork and apparently they've beefed up the online portion to really get people playing.
  20. Marson is only a couple month stopgap until the best catcher prospect in baseball, Carlos Santana, comes up. For them it's probably the sooner the better I imagine.
  21. Dear Indians, If Marson is the best catcher in your system, I suggest you find someone who can catch the ball when the pitcher throws it. What a game today for the Sox. Not only did we murder the Indians 6-0, Buehrle pulls a play out of his ass that brought everyone to a standing ovation. I hope we can repeat this on Wednesday night.
  22. I'm incredibly excited for the start of the season. As a White Sox fan I think we have some promise this year. We've got a pretty decent rotation and some young stars getting ready to break out on offense. If Alexei Ramirez can get over a bad last season I think we have a pretty well rounded team. I don't know if we'll win the division but I think we certainly have the ability to. The AL Central is always pretty competitive between the Sox, Twins, and Indians. It'll be a good race that's for sure. I'm also really looking forward to going to more minor league games. We have the AAA affiliate for the Nationals here so there's a possibility that Stephen Strasburg could end up pitching for us at some point. While our team has never been very good we have a very nice stadium so it's quite relaxing to sit on the third base line for a Saturday or Sunday afternoon game. We also have ice cream served inside a tiny baseball helmet. Though oddly it's always in a Mets helmet. Go figure.

    UFC 2010

Someone on Gamefaqs posted that the demo will be out for those who pre-ordered via Gamestop on April 13th, a week later for everyone else. I don't know if I buy this as I pre ordered at Gamestop and they didn't say a thing about a demo. I even went there tonight to swap my pre order from PS3 to 360 and they didn't mention anything. Also, apparently it's been confirmed by THQ that the demo will have 16 fighters, 8 welterweights and 8 heavyweights.
  24. I'm curious as to if that will allow you to play video files from a flash drive like the PS3 can.
