  1. Bury field an ineligible player in the FA Cup by mistake, realise, tell the FA. What happens? They are kicked out of the FA Cup, as per the rules West Ham field two ineligible players in the Premiership on purpose and don't tell the FA. What happens? A fine of a few million, which is nothing compared to what they would have lost if they'd been given the points deduction they deserved and relegated to the Championship. We're worse than Serie A. And now the FA have set themselves a precedent, I'd like to see them dock points off anyone ever again. If Wigan go down as a result, I can see Dave Whelan suing the FA.
  2. "The Corby demolition men" are one of the worst bands I ever had the misfortune to catch live. I'd strongly advise missing them at every opportunity, in fact, go to another part of he country just to avoid being associated with their shite.
  3. Ignoring the million times he's given the ball away, botched set pieces and walked around at a completely different pace to the rest of the team. He's been simply shite almost all year. We only have a handful of games left so let's hope we don't hear the commentators say "Jenas, caught in possesion again" too many more times.

    Doctor Who

Didn't they use something in an earlier episode? The first epidode with the Slitheen there was that genetically engineered pig man or something. Not EXACTLY the same but still.
  5. Well I'm sure an expert marksman would have no problem with that What you said about the graphics though, spot on. Som,etimes it's nice to just sit up at bag end playing the lute and looking down at the party tree and Hobbiton, also the reflective surfaces of Thorins Hall.... *drools*
  6. Okay since every other MMORPG seems to geta thread these days why not one for the game set in the world in which every other fantasy game ever made (practically) adapted from in the first place? The Early Access period has started on both sides of the pond now so seemed as good a time as any to start the topic. My first impressions have been quite good, relatively decent enough graphics and so far the community have seemed quite good. Already I'm seeing the obvious comparisons to WoW but it's not as if WoW really did anything hugely original. Only problem is there's been a bit of downtime over the last 24 hours but at least it's now as opposed to when the game is fully open. Anyone else playing? As an aside. Played CoH briefly earlier... I must get out of the habit of right clicking on bodies to try and loot them...
  7. The thing is what can Robbo do from down there. He's on the floor pushiong the ball away and then the man falls over him. Clean save like you see in nearly every match! As for today, the reserves did a decent job. Rested some key players and through it unscaved, now for the important business in the UEFA. We can make up the league points.
  8. If they were to do that then the Sunday would be okay As it is we're dwn to make up 3 games in 6 days in the last week of the season. We had it before with the FA Cup game too, where we finished playing at midnight, flew up home next day played cup game. We went there and got a 3-3 draw so we've still got the chance but why break with the rules for this game?
  9. I just noticed... The FA expect us to play away to Seville on Thursday and play Chelsea at lunchtime on the Saturday. What happened to the day off for European teams?
  10. You can't really compare them though. DoW is an RTS, and all Dark Crusade did was add a basic tabletop campaign element in place of a story. M2:TW is entirely different.
  11. Yet Crouch isn't good enough for England Superb performance and Liverpool deserved to win there, Adebayor had a couple of chances for Arsenal but Liverpool were in control most of the game.
  12. I love EU3 but the battle elements of Total War just keep it higher, the problem is since the change to all 3d, they seem to have lost some of the AI elements both on the battle and campaign maps so battles aren't as challenging now as the basic stacks move into province, stacks fight of the past. A game with TW battles and EU3 diplomacy and map AI and we have the best game of all time.
  13. Don't hippos spend most of their lives submerged, or at least loitering near water?
  14. How would you implement Skaven though?
  15. I've just started a game as Ulster (Well Tyrone I think but it's Ulster dangnabit) Trying to work my way through uniting Ireland but unfortunately when I declared war on Connaught Brittany joined in against me and they're now refusing to agree to peace while they have an army stuck in Munster just getting in the way... They're little more than nuisance factor but doesn't make it any better.
  16. That's one of the best features of CoX to me. I played it a bit but got caught up with WoW for a while and haven't particularly got into it. So will probably be going back to CoX. Free expansions though is a great idea, something like they're planning with LOTRO in some elements I hear.
  17. After seeing Nugent yesterday I can see why he's seen as the Trundle of the Championship, arrogant self centred twat. "Yay look at me, I can run after a ball and blast it in from the line with noone near me!" Gotta say that Stevie G showed some fight and was pretty much the only one of the starters who looked really up for it and played his heart out (okay so the defence didn't get to do much) always looking like the one who'd nick us something and did so.
  18. So now he's playing Lennon on his preferred right and using a left winger on the left? Revolutionary ideas in the England management. Of course we SHOULD win comfortably tonight, let's see the media talk it up briefly for a couple of days as the fifth goes in.
  19. Well we've drawn with mighty nations such as Liechtenstein and Macedonia before, as well as losing to global giants Northern Ireland. Home win for Andorra
