  1. I think it's doubtful. A player like him isn't going to be happy getting kicked around at places like Colchester week in week out and it's bound to hurt his international chances. Also we need to see about this ownership dealy, and the fact that the day they go down you're going to get every side in the top 10 offering money for him which West Ham will find very difficult to turn down when they're going toi need to rebuild a lot.
  2. The best thing about Tevez's celebration... Looking at the before and after pics He was superb for West Ham and was pretty much the only reason they were in it (aside from Green who made one mistake in the 94th minute). We struggled to contain him and you could see he was full of fight, something WesT Ham need a lot of if they're to stand any chance of avoiding the drop. As unlikely as it now seems.
  3. They didn't really look the better side, they should've been two down before they got their first and the other two were just standard set peices. From the Spurs point of view it was a jeckyl and Hyde performance again, for thew first 20 minutes we were dominant and then gave them a lot more time on the ball but some of that stuff was incredible in the second half... Lennons flick on to Teemu was superb stuff.
  4. Nah Murphy was a bad signing. It makes me wince everytime he pulls on a Spurs shirt.
  5. Him on the left and Lennon on the right. Think how lethal that pairing could have been. Personally I'd not want him back for the bitchyness at Upton Park last season... Then again after Muphy slgged us off I wouldnt have signed him either... :ohwell:
  6. Turisas cancelled their gig at the Scala and asked anyone who'd planned to go to that to contact them so we did and they sent us the tickets over night.
  7. Apologies for resurrecting this but having been unable to get tickets from the box office. I've now managed to gain some from Turisas directly so I'll be there, sorry not able to get you the spare though!
  8. Did Arsenal have any REAL chances, Baptista won a few headers and took a couple of pot shots which were close to being on target but they didn't quite get anything which I thought was a goal. Great fnish from Benni Mac for the winner though with Blackburn probably just edging it although a draw after 90 minutes would've been about right.
  9. If people are prepared to play for them why are they the worst team in the league structure anywhere in the UK? Must say you've just inspired me with perhaps the best idea for a challenge. Not finishing my Stevenage game to start a new one though!
  10. You don't use someone like that and wonder why you're in the relegation zone... Shame Southend are struggling agin, I was looking forward to seeing those two face off in the Championship.
  11. I take it the film rights to all of the above characters are for the same studio then?
  12. First game on the new one and first season with Stevenage getting them promoted. WOn it with 4 gams to spare which is a releif as exhaustion from getting to the JPT Fourth round, FATRophy Semi and FA Cup third round had hit us bad and I'm not sure I could have kept going. Best result though was gettng promoted convnced Georgie Boyd to sign a conrat extension, was wondering how much longer I could warn Man City off him before he demanded the opportuity to speak to them.
  13. Woiuld've preffered a home draw for a chance... I'm worried Jol may be more negative when people know the way to do Chelsea is to attack
  14. Thatwas a much better performance then the shite we've seen recently. Looked more like the team that beat Chelsea then the shite we sent out a couple of week back to play the Gooners.
  15. The style of Amtell was a perfect replacement for Lamar... We're talking about someone who could be openly abusive, while talking to these people, on childrens television, yet STILL get away with it.
  16. Preson must have got a lot of stick in rehearsals... I didn't think it ever got that bad and peope have received far worse... Although I think when it dawned on Amstell he was trying to give Madge an orgasm was one of the highlights!
  17. Rugby east midlands youth cup semi-final game away to Northampton. It'd been a tight phyiscal game and we were up by a try after a missed conversion. Seven minutes to go and my opposite number came across the lineout and punched me once the ball had gone away I resumed chasing the ball but pushed him away... He took a hokey dive and the touch judge who just by coincidence happened to be one of their coaches following a late switch flags and tells the referee I'd punched him off the ball... Minor debate over the incident and we get knocked back 10 yards and I'm sin-binned for the remainder of the tie. We lost by two points after a converted try when they out pushed our forwards with me missing.
  18. We've not won a league game in 2007 and that says it all. We're already in a Middlesbrough situation where we NEED to win a cup now otherwise we can say goodbye to a lot of those players. I'm starting to wonder whether or not Jol will be in charge next season unless we can do something to sort out this fall...
  19. Okay now I've defended the NFL in this thread since I happen to enjoy watching it and am one of those people who's displayed an interest BUT this is coplete crap. The number of times I see an NFL game when a team are one or two scores up grind to a halt and really slow up the last quarter, sometimes even the half. It is just as dull, for football there are near constant opportunities, including when it's coming to the end. Jyust last night I watched a game just like that. In the second half one side were 1-0 up and the other lot had a couple of chances. Rather then sitting on their lead they went for it. Not only did they get a second goal but they didn't stop there... They carried on and scored a 5th after four minutes of stoppage time. That's NOT something you ever see in the NFL. Although there are 0-0 games which are dull you can have very exciting 0-0 draws and that's where the average ~American starts to show his ignorance to the sport when they start harping on about scorelines.
