  1. Don't think I ever finished any of them. Get engrossed in them then go through a busy period and never manage to get back in for a good game. Have to agree though, the writing in these games and the little touches are incredible. Few games like that around (if any).
  2. The Office I found funny but i mainly liked the antagonism between Gareth and Tim. Extras was ok for the guest stars but there's only so long this extra hanging around the stars can be entertaining I have enough boring stories like that to listen to in real life. As for his episode of the Simpsons... I think the first part was written by the writers and started off alright... Then he turned up and the episode just sunk like the titanic. Awfully unfunny
  3. I've just started to get into it. Good show so shit on all the haters.
  4. Ghaly has looked inpressive. Missed the easiest chance he'll ever have against Stevenage but looks like he'll do fine in a similar mould to Carrick but more physical which is perfect for the role and the one thing Carrick lacked was that aspect of his game.
  5. You mean the one identical to the other North London teams home shirt last season?
  6. Competitve internationals that take into account your opposition. International friendlies are by and large taken as a joke.
  7. The best thing about Klinsmann as the national coach was his isolation from the German media being in the US. Of course the media used that as a downside and I'm glad they did well to shut up the doubters. Being distanced helped him to keep away and make up his own mind rather then for example "we're a one man team if Bierhoff (does he still play) doesn't play we're doomed DOOMED!" articles like the England side had dictating the side for him. I'd heard talk of the US job being thrown around this morning too, interesting to see how he does with that if it's true. As for Lippi, not massively surprised, he's gone out at the right time IMHO rather then being sacked if they underperform at the Euros. Presumably he'll go back to club football. Not sure where to at the moment, none of the big jobs available are they?
  8. That one should be a giggle actually, linkify. On the subjhect of players leaving... I'd read something that said Buffon had something to do with it as well. Would the IFF be able to punish him in some way if the evidence proves his involvement? I'll try and find some linkage now on his involvement.
  9. I don't think relegation just one division would hit the sides that much myself. These teams are so huge (Fioré managed to recover from bankruptcy and reopening to reach this level in half a dozen years) so these sides names could help them, Man City still sold out in Division 2 and they're not the same size as Milan and Juventus so may not affect them that much. Some of the more mercenary inclined players may jump ship but I suspect they'll be able to bounce back these sides.
  10. These two different points don't compute? how the fuck did you know, you wouldn't turn around and push someone away if they were like 'Rooney was innocent governor!'
  11. I love that people are saying Rooney shouldn't have been sent off and they're blaming Ronaldo for it. The ref was a couple of yards away and called him over before he pushed Ronaldo away (note for a diving cheat Ronaldo nevwer fell over or pointed it out to the referee to try and get the card raised). He did a very stupid thing out of frustration, his foot did kick back and although I thought it was more of a losing his footing thing the ref interpreted it differently and had made his decision. The obly pertson who knows for sure is Rooney and I suspect he'll say it was an accident even if it wasn't. Fact is we weren't the better team out there, once Lennon and Crouch came on we looked better but if so called professional footballers can't score penalties you don't deserve to go through. It's a shame and the decisiopn was harsh but if you people are going to whine about it rather then pointing out our own errors we deserve mediocrity. Lets point out the Lampard missed chances, Rooneys air shot when he took the ball away from Lennon and aimless long balls to a striker where the nearest teammate is 30 metres away rather then blaming others.
  12. Bigal said some Northern Irish coach may be taking over :ohwell:
  13. Ummmm... These things were going on throughout the 90's too
  14. Would you care to explain how countries then vote for countries who committed heinous war crimes on populations get points off their neighbours? I wouldn't give 12 points to people who commited genocide against my nation would you?
  15. I'm surprised that people are surprised by how well Lennon did myself. He's caused shit for every defender in the country he's come across all season so I'm not surprised he caused trouble. It's not like Walcott who we know little about essentially (always looked classy and caused a lot of trouble for Soton but not even playing reserve football must;ve hurt him since Chrimbo) getting a brief run out. We KNOW Lennon is the best traditional right winger in the country with SWP behind him. It was an interesting opportunity to look at the fringe player but ultimatly highlighted nothing new abouit them. Complete waste of time and Green felt the strongest repurcussions of the excercise.
  16. It's always good to watch the "polical defeat" arguement come out though since everyone knows it's not true. If it were political then the same nation would win every year surely? Every year the "best" song wins over all and I think Finland with there 2 borders caused an upset. Although the only reason it's an "upset" is because people bought the "satan worshipers" story... Gotta love Wogan though, he tries to be clever with the political thing these days and gets more and more wrong each year (Y)
  17. Not a fan of the new shirt myself. May grow on me but as said, very plain.
  18. Well thats kind of bullshit since if that was the case the debate wouldn't be happening, but once again as far as the incident goes, I don't care. I don't really think theres much difference between kicking the ball out when you injured the player or the player injured themselves though, I'm for definite that if Robbie Keane had stubbed and broken his toes whilst running for the ball and play carried on you'd be all "they're dirty for not kicking the ball out". To me, Spurs fans always seem to be the ones having a pop at Arsenal, thats why for the most part you're a bunch of intolerable cunts.
  19. The only people saying there was any controversy are Wenger and people who haven't seen the incident but heard him say there were injured players when we scored and should have kicked it off. Everyone else agrees it was the right thing... Wengers post match comments he sent to gooner newsletter subscribers were hilarious...
  20. The difference is of course that they got a literal replay so Sheffield Utd got a replay for it all... but instead of a rematch they had to go to Highbury for a replay as if it was a draw, a match that Arsenal needed due to TV money to help out the financial situation and would almost certainly win.
  21. We've got the expansion coming out in a month or two now as well which gives us the ability to do our own shots which will definatly encourage me to make a real good job of it. I was never satisfied with some of the angles
  22. From what I was reading Jaws was planned to be the owner but couldn't get the actor in due to other commitments. Got me wondering though on the finish without an owner? Perhaps a return for LUIS AMOR RODRIGUES!
