  1. England aren't THAT good, the sooner we learn t the better. We've got a few good individuals out there but it's nothing. On his day Rooney is good but he has a lot of games where he's completely annonymous and aside from that first competition when Owen got him loads of space he's not really done anything sensational on the world stage. Also not helped by the lack of regularly playing strike partners, AJ plays regularly but I still don't see him as world class. Defence are fine, I know we don't have a lot of depth in full backs but there are a lot of good centre backs in the country. Defensively injuries to the full backs are my main concern. Robbo in goal is also safe, he's made a couple of mistakes for club and country but name me a keeper who doesn't make a mistake. Midfield is the funny one for me, We have Gerrard, Lampard and Lennon. Three top class players who are exciting to watch at club level and have moments for the country (Lennon benefitting more now from a side not lumping it forward all the time) but regardless of the fourth man w should create chances. Okay so with a Crouch in there somone may have got on a couple of Lennons crosses but there were very few times when you feel there was a real chance. Can't figure ou what's wrong with them but maybe as nation we're not that good. Even the top English sides (ignoring Arsenal with 0 English starters when full strength) have foreign players who are essential, e.g. Man Yoo with Ronaldo would be a different team, Chelsea have a large amount of foreign players in key roles, Spus with Berbatov for example. I would expect our players to be able to compete but they don't really do it together.
  2. I made the mistake of playing the first game on this as the Iroquois. Had I read the appendix I'd have spotted the futility of such an endeavour...
  3. Gotta love getting bored and naked stalking people...
  4. Robbo's another in a long line of Spurs keepers to score from their own half... Well two...
  5. It's illegal to leave the field of play and he jumped into the stands and removed his shirt. I'm sorry but that is a yellow card. There's no excuse for removing your shirt no matter how happy you are. It's a long concious decision to deliberately break a known (albeit petty) rule.
  6. Only advantage Chelsea will have is more rest. Hopefully we'll have our injured players back and do a repeat at the lane
  7. *is going to thew Braga game* I believe Barneys been suffering from injuries a lot this season. Would explain why he's completely disapeared.
  8. All he had to do was hold up the all for half hour... Only one about two headers and one of them was stragight to them... Oh well, anyone who says theywouldn't have taken a draw is lying.
  9. Maybe he's only just been deemed able to walk? Everyone knew it would happen. It was akin to if JOl decided to pick Ledley King to start against Braga last night. He's not fit, but our defence are leaky, so I'll bring him on if things start to look a bit nervous for us. Exactly what Wenger did with Henry. You can't believe that a barely fit Henry unable to stand would have been better then a tired but healthy Baptista? Or do you not trust them either?
  10. Everyone knew he wasn't match fit. The fact is he came straight on and without being tackled that was it, he was awaste of space due to the injury. Everyone knew it would happen and if you beleive he was fit to play then you must be the only one. The fact is for whatever reason Wenger panicked and didn't trust the other players to get a job done and was desperate to use him.
  11. So an injured player is forced to play and gets a further injury... Good way to piss someone off there it has to be said.
  12. Another strong performance and a deserved win. If we were to play like that going forward we could definately have a shot of doing Chelsk. Just a shame we let in goals from set pieces for fun...
  13. I know there were some banned episodes where it could be possible. I remember Shawn as an alcoholic but not Eric as a pothed
  14. That Plymouth game last night...How the fuck was the Wednesday goal given? Striker clatters the keeper by sliding in while the keeper is in the air and no foul. Referees need shootng sometimes...
  15. hmmm... Arsenal 2 - 1 PSV - I can see PSV scoring and going through on the away goals bt I think Arsenal will in o the night. Man United 2 - 0 Lille I think at OT Man Yoo wll have the extra edge especially with the goal advantage. AC Milan 1 - 0 Celtic - Depends when Milan score, if it's eary could blow tem away Bayern 2 - 0 Madrid - Madrid aren'tthat good so I reckon at home Bayern will be comfortabl.
  16. I liked Deathstars but yes it was damn fine night out for bugger all, only thing that wound me up was Zico bd mouthing Turisas between songs since they look a bit different but musiclly they were good. Now for the Big Brother exploitation stage
  17. I've enver got into rp servers... Do you find it easier to create groups of some kind... On normal PVP it's massively anti-social
  18. Just seen on Sky Sports news police investigating racist chanting at the West Ham game. I'm wondering why they only now deal with it... everytime we go there you get anti-semetic chanting and abuse so why was this any different?
  19. I think I read in Kerrang! They're planning a new album to be released in the not too distant future... The guitarist left them and didn't the front man marry Avril Lavigne?
  20. Big fan of A, so naturally I know the answer. They made a new album "Teen Dance Ordinance" in about 2004 (tis a great album) but had some serious issues with the record company over releasing it. They eventually got it out in 2005 with little promotion or support from radio stations or magazines (because they didn't fit this indie, diluted guitar shitbitch music we still have to put up with today) and it only reached in the 90s in the charts. They went on tour and went on hiatus as of October 2005 because they'd ran out of money. The lead singer is currently a producer (he's produced Mcfly or something?), the guitarist is a Radio 1 DJ and the drummer plays for Bloodhound Gang now. There's been no indication of them reforming as of yet.
  21. I think it's doubtful. A player like him isn't going to be happy getting kicked around at places like Colchester week in week out and it's bound to hurt his international chances. Also we need to see about this ownership dealy, and the fact that the day they go down you're going to get every side in the top 10 offering money for him which West Ham will find very difficult to turn down when they're going toi need to rebuild a lot.
