  1. A good bet would be to look at your local library, bound to have lots of different little collections there for you to hand pick one that suits you. The one next to my desk at the moment is called "the mammoth book of Haunted House stories" (there's a massive series of mammoth books you may want to check out) and it's quite good with a mix of spooky stories of all types, some of them are pure thrillers with great tension while there are a couple of romance ones as well for variety. Not read many others in the series but thoroughly intend to when I have the time.
  2. That's been the biggest irritant for me sicnce it came back. They've spent all their time on Earth, which itself isn't a problem, but hanging around the current day and in the same location EVERY time. It'd be interesting if (as an example) the Daleks had figured out they could go back in time to a time when humanity was less advanced (e.g. Romans) and aniahalte them easier. Instead they stick around London in 2005. Not much travelling in that particularly. Lets see some of these distant worlds we've heard about!! As for the Christmas episode itself. A personal highlight was the doctor starting to quote the Lion king to the sycorax.
  3. Arsenal lost a pivotal member of their team, losing Viera was like losing two or three players there and the fact they no longer have a spine is showing. They've lost Viera, Henry has had injury problems and does very little away from Highbury anyway and the back four are often shambolic. I think Wenger is a twat and he get's on my nerves BUT it's not necesarily his fault the team are sliding. They're not doing well but I'm sure it's only a blip and they will again be challenging for the top 4 at the end of the season. Let's face it Fergie has lost the plot and he's still putting up a fight...
  4. With the rumours that King is going to leave us I'm a bit apprehensive about it. Yeah he seems a good player but so're King, Dawson, Gardner & Huddlestone and bvefore too long the centre back situation will be the same as the midfield one :\
  5. Nervy perhaps but they were just shit. That's where things go wrong, it wasn't even "the yonugsters" who were some of the worst culprets it was those who are supposed to be in with a shout of doiung well in the premiership who pissed about the most. Only one good thing was in that Arsenal team and that was Almunia who saved you from a serious humiliation.
  6. Yeah, I didn't think a lot of the game overall but I did like the fact that certain codes would be able to set up the real world WCW pay per views as and when they happened.
  7. I thought he was a fantastic Legolas, in the books he came off as a plank of wood and in the films Orlando played him as such (Y)
  8. Colonization. I always preferred it to the Civ's at the time and was over the moon when it made an appearence on Civ3 conuests in a cameo Other then that most of the Civ's and CM series but I think colonization pipped the others to the post since I still get the old Amniga out to play it when bored!
  9. Just made a new movie, it was all off the cuff pretty much but I think it's come across well in the end since sci-fi horror is one of the hardest things to pull off on this game Quarentine
  10. Can't believe how shit he was against Sunderland With KUyt signing in a couple of weeks he needs to lift his game considerably.

  12. I'm seeing Fozzy at some old club in Peterborough where only about a dozen people can fit in. Should be a laugh...
  13. The same with films I find myself fully immersed in a game if it's got a soundtrack that sets mood perfectly. On a similar note it's one thing that winds me up in a game a poor soundtrack. One of my biggest problems with SvR2006 was the way the soundtrack was the only custom music you could have for your CAW. I liked the older ones which had more soundtracky themes. The Necromancer just doesn't work right coming out to some hip hop track rather then the haunting themes he was able to use in older versions.
  14. Sunderland I'd defiantly take to go IF it was at Woking (not as sure on Northwich) but I'd think at the SoL they should have the quality to do either side. They'll make it hard but with the crowd Sunderland should be able to take it through.
  15. It wasd never Crouch's goal, he's hit it low and hard it'sa gone up into the air off a defender and punched in by the keeper. It's either the defenders or the keepers goal because you can not under any circumstances say Crouch's shot was going in.
  16. For those of you wondering on the music HOF. I have told you the previous inductees on my post from when we did the music awards in previous years. This year they were dropped since I figured this was going to be happening but to reiterate previous inductees are The Offspring and the Foo Fighters, still not sure how they got there to this day over some of the older bands bit still, that's who you voted for...
  17. I quite like Crouch, it's not his fault Liverpool were stupid enough to pay over the odds for him putting him under even more media pressure. He's been playing alright without really troubling the scorers charts but he's doing the targetman job and I wouldn't be surprised to see him bundle in a few more by the end of the season.
  18. You looked really ordinary yesterday from watching Football First last night. The problem seems to be you only have one consistent defender and he's injued :\ When Viera left I thought he'd be a big pair of shoes to replace but I didn't realise he's leaving would be THAT drastic to you. It's nice to see the power shifting in North London though
  19. In which event it's good to see a Spurs midfielder who can not only make people look stupid with skills but actualy has some guts
  20. That's from the News of the World. Considering Davids was brought in to help the youngsters and lead by example this isn't the greatest of news. Hopefully though it is all sorted out. We need to have a good team sprit and players working for eachother to help keep our good form up.
