  1. Heh they deserved a point according to Martin because "they tried" well lads, why not roll over more often. All the opposition need to do is try and we'll give them a point. Thank gawd I don';t have to put up with seeing the ex for a few days, she'll never let me hear the end of it even if it was only a draw..
  2. Ghostbusters > * Also contains the line which I have taken as a life proverb. "Ray next time someone asks if you are a god, you say YES" and the line "Back off man, I'm a scientist" which I still use, even though I'm not
  3. Oh aye I forgot about the Slitheen, but weren't they just a family of un-named aliens and all ended up dying?
  4. << Once played a Cyberman I agree it'd be nice to see some new villains in there balanced with the old. I think they semi-planned it with trying to turn the Slitheen into regulars but they didn't cxatch the imagination too much, but there may be room to build up the race in the new series with a couple of good episodes.
  5. Blanc was a decent centre back before joining United mind.... I was expecting him to go but I suppse when he offended half the team after a shit performance the egos got out of check and he was left with little option but to move on. Someones on for a bargain of Campbell proportions now though, even if it's only one more year.
  6. Gardner and Dawson have both played well at the back this season so far but admittedly partnering King. It'll be a blow without him but we don't want to force him to do a Campbell by messing him about.
  7. Would be quite interesting. I'd be prepared to have a go if we can get multiple people interested.
  8. It's been a good one, after the under 21 game I was even less excited abouit it. Bloody good game though.
  9. I'm another one who waited years before playing MGS due to the fact the 'rents refused to pay out on a new console while my current one [a mega drive] was in perfectly good shape (bloody pathetic...). That said I will never forget the first time I encountered Psycho Mantis and was completly blown away. Not many games have had that sort of effect before or since. Mario Brothers 3 > almost every other game ouit there however.
  10. Anyone else looking forward to this game, it's only a friendly but I reckon it'll be close. I think the Aussies should edge it but neither side is playing to their full potential at the moment so it could be interesting.
  11. I'm working on a war film at the mo, made the mistake of leaving it as one of the shitty AI made up names something about a continent. I've made the mistake of taking a risk on doing this in the story mode rather then sandbox too. I'll probably upload it but I'm not expecting good ratings just yet, since it's being done with age old tech... OK here it is fresh off the press. I had managed to change the name before uploading but forgot what it was going to be called so had to settle for The War of Art , also spot the blooper shot in there I put in to see if anyone noticed
  12. I gave it 2 stars and explained why, was a good little movie which I think shows a lot of promise for any future ones you do. Took advantage of the lack of a mic by using minimal subtitles too. I liked that, since I was wathcing what was going on rather then trying to read text that goes before I've finished damnit. poker scene a little too long, I was waiting for the table to be thrown over before the shooting but damnit swerve, it never happened!
  13. Got it now in the end and they gave me £15 off for messing me about so a new game for £20 wasn't too bad! Worked a little bit in the story mode and just created my first movie but hadn't rwatched the AMM tutorials properly so my hero the sherif, gets himself arrested and is seen riding into the sunset with no explanation after picking up an axe and just walking out. Next tinme I must remember to cast people correctly :\
  14. Yeah, he'd managed to destroy the England team and had just been let go from the equivelant of a Spanish conference side when his dad's old club came back in for him. It was a good series and I'd like to see a second one but only if it's able to keep a good feel to it rather then, "the first series was popular, the movie was popular, lets make a new one!" since that's why the movie industry and tv industry are full of so much shit right now.
  15. Aaaaah, gone into Game this morning at 9.01 and apparently htey haven't had the bloody things delivered yet. Why advertise "be the first to play" if you're not going to allow people who preordered them to play the bloody thing. She said to check back sio will give them a call later, but I'm not likely to have much time to play the bloody thing now :'(
  16. Currently on my "soundtracks" playlist, only 4 at the moment since I haven't bothered putting others on the pc yet. Batman - Not a big fan of the tracks by the artist but the score over the opening sequence is just brilliant, never get tired of it. Jurassic Park - The signature theme is great again, think the world of that one and I got some strange looks when I was working at my old primary school as an LSA and this band came in and played it, I marked out big time Indiana Jones - do-dodo-doo-do-da-doo 'nuff said. Schindlers List - I just love the violin piece, think it's taken from a piece by Chopin but it's a beautiful little piece. Advised a director to use it when I was in "Merchant of Venice" for Shylocks theme. Fantastic.
  17. I think Vice City raised the profile of the games rather then anything else. It wasn't much more then we had in GTA3 yet it had something that it seemed it got way more hype and attention then the other ones before it. The original got a fair bit of attention but I'm not sure the others prior to VC and SA got that sort of press. As for Pokémon, it was one of those things that periodically got the old gameboy out of retirement every coupld of years. Couldn't stand the hype around the cards and tv series (and movies...) but a very good rpg that was very addictive and so easy even I could become quite good at it. One of those rare games that actually boasted decent levels of end game content too wasn't it?
  18. Yeah I came across that today on the forums. Great news since we'll always be able to use fairly plush effects and the like regardless of story mode. A great piece of news a lot of people were waiting for I think!
  19. NAYIM! \o/ First time in recent years something like that happened and in a major tournament AND against the gooners fantastic moment. The Argentina free kick in the 98 world cup to springs to mind. The way they actually played it round the wall rather then plkasting, simple goal but not something you see often for some reason. Madonna's run and finish in the 86(?) world cup, almost makes the handball forgiveable Finally Villa '82, fantastic goal and was voted greatest goal at Wembley Stadium, can't really argue with that.
  20. The best thing about the promotional star maker release is now it's out in parts of the world you can download the thing for free! Way to increase the reasons to buy it there, got to love the publishers ingenuity with that (Y)
  21. Aye hadnt looked at the way other fields could adapt it and the ability to create your own actors and backdrops there is no reason why someone couldn't make a wrestling ring type set and work through it that way, I doubt there will be an animation in a fight like a pinfall though. The first in joke slang term has been created, don't let anyone ever refer to your film as a "Saddle Up Sally" it means it's shit. As for EWB diaries, it could help quite a lot with the idea of a EWB movie industry now I think about it
  22. Matzat, apparently some sotres in Germany have released it now, what are you doing sitting there rather then making some high quality German movies
  23. Now I don't know what the title means but "Un jour comme un autre" seems to show the sort of scope we could have with this game in the very near future. Very impressive... Un jour comme un autre
