  1. Just for kicks, give us your game's Premiership managers, and their predecessors. In December 2013, after 15 games, from top to bottom, mine are: 1. Chelsea - Louis van Gaal (only Avram Grant preceded him) 2. Arsenal - Hubb Stevens (via Arsene Wenger, Tony Adams and Arsene Wenger again) 3. Sunderland - Dave Jones (via Roy Keane, me, Tony Mowbray and Hugo Sanchez) 4. Liverpool - Ronald Koeman (via Rafa Benitez and Marcello Lippi) 5. Man Utd - Marcelino, who's just been appointed. They've been god-awful since Ferguson retired (via Alex Ferguson, Ottmar Hitzfield, Michael Laudrup, Henk Ten Cate, Harry Redknapp and Paul Le Guen) 6. Newcastle - Stuart Pearce (via Sam Allardyce, Felix Magath and Marcelino) 7. Leicester - Steve Cotterill (via Gary Megson and Steve Clarke) 8. Aston Villa - Thomas Schaaf (via Martin O'Neill, Michael Laudrup and Felix Magath) 9. Tottenham - newly-appointed Tony Mowbrary (via Martin Jol, Harry Redknapp and Marcelino) 10. Portsmouth - Ertugrul Salgam (via Harry Redknapp and Gareth Southgate) 11. Norwich - Hugo Sanchez (via Peter Grant) 12. Fulham - Sam Allardyce (via Lawrie Sanchez) 13. Sheff Utd - Steve Tilson (via Bryan Robson and Iain Dowie) 14. Everton - Neale Cooper (via David Moyes, Mark Hughes, Steve Coppell and Alan Curbishley) 15. West Ham - Steve Coppell (via Alan Curbishley) 16. Blackburn - Mike Newell (via Mark Hughes) 17. West Brom - Alan Curbishley (via Tony Mowbray and Mark Venus) 18. Reading - Adrian Boothroyd (via Steve Coppell) 19. Man City - newly-appointed Steve Staunton (via Sven-Goran Eriksson, Ronald Nilsson and Tony Mowbray) 20. Nottingham Forest - Mark Robins (via Colin Calderwood, Nigel Clough and me)
  2. I guess this is the place for this. I just ordered six TV boxsets: The Complete West Wing (it's only 50 quid on Amazon; get it now) The Complete Fawlty Towers Family Guys Seasons 1-5 The Complete Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister Peep Show Season 1-5 Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip
  3. Oh, I forgot about "Waiting On A Sunny Day" by Bruce Springsteen. The studio version is much better than the live versions, but still: At about 4 minutes in, that must be the greatest feeling in the world. You know, except for a rimjob from a Cambodian midget >_>
  4. This isn't a thread for your favourite song of all-time, rather the song or songs that you can't get enough of at the minute. For me, it's "Boyfriend" by Alphabeat. Jesus, it's ridiculously good, perhaps even better than Fascination. Ah, the Danes
  5. The N.Irish leagues are always fun to play in. I had a game in 07 where I took over Oxford Utd Stars when they were promoted into the second tier, and won the league three years in a row. That's right, Premier League Champions
  6. Yeah, I ended up falling asleep and not bothering >_<
  7. [REC] - 10/10. Absolutely awesome. First movie that ever genuinely scared me; I had to watch a couple of documentaries before I went to sleep >_>
  8. Which reminds me...is there a decent store where I could buy the parts and then assemble them?
  9. I haven't cracked one out in ages. Recommend me >_>

I finally got it delivered, but it was in 37 parts. Managed to piece it back together, and played it this morning. I'm up to the tribal stage, which is nowhere near as fun as the early stages, but it's a decent game. I'll probably only play it through once, but it's a fun way to put in a couple of hours.
  11. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7599824.stm That would actually be the greatest thing ever.
  12. Sim City Societies. Seems alright, although there's nothing outstanding about. Worth killing the occasional hour on.
  13. My local cinema is still showing it 3 times a day, 4 on weekends. I'd say the multiplexes will be looking another month out of it.

I am 0.2% on my way to the shop, but the rate at which I'm getting there keeps fluctuating
  15. Well, he apparently hasn't resigned, according to the LMA. Maybe Curbishley thinks the job's his >_>
  16. Gotham By Gaslight is decent, but nothing out of the ordinary. You can see the ending coming a mile away.
  17. I don't think the troopers were redubbed, as the continuity suggested that by this point the Empire had a lot of conscripts and recruits, as the clones were aging.
  18. Favourite moment of the series so far; a couple of weeks ago when David Mitchell went on a rant about the bankers losing 44 million quid, and Frankie suggesting David would be fantastic on Newsnight just to sum up every story with "OH, THIS IS PISH~!" You had to see it, but yeah >_>
  19. Your voice is also affected by where you've been, though. Living somewhere can change your accent.
  20. AC/DC's new single "Rock 'n' Roll Train". Nothing outstanding, but fuck, it's been eight years and I DC.
  21. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia: worth watching?
  22. I bought all three for a tenner about 18 months ago. I've yet to watch them >_>
  23. It's not really what her character is, but I could see that working. Of course, you'd need another villain; a teenage girl couldn't carry a movie on her own. It could also lead to some sort of breakout for The Joker.
  24. Stars Wars Galaxies. Forgot I had it (it didn't work on my last PC). Seems alright, although nothing spectacular. Anyone else play?
  25. Career update time: While still England manager, took on the Forest Green job with five games to go in the 07/08 season. Was unable to save them from relegation to the Blue Square South, but bounced right back up as champions. I then resigned as England manager. About twelve games in I was struggling at FG, so I resigned (and they managed to win the Blue Square Premier. Bastards ). Went to Bournemouth, where I had a disappointing mid-table season. They chose not to renew my contract, and so I ended up at Brentford (Bournemouth finished 2nd the next season ). Mid-table most of the season, but managed to scrape the final play-off place. Beat Darlington over two legs, and then had Wycombe in the final. What a game! 5-5 after ninety minutes, and then went to penalties. It took a dozen penalties each to finally decide the winner...Brentford God bless Leon Constantine. Bought him for 3k in January, and he's since scored 16 goals in 23 games, including a hattrick in the final and the winning penalty. I'll probably come straight back down, but who gives a fuck What is it with teams doing brilliant after I leave though? P.S. 2nd in Manager of the Year to Bournemouth's Glenn Roeder
