Mx. Canadian Destroyer

I have my PS4. Gonna wait just a few days to buy PS+, but once I do, I'd be down to try some online with some peeps. So I'm gonna start a Franchise where I run one team a time and play with them until I break their World Series drought. So I'll start with the Cubs, and if I can ever get them to win one (or at least make it there), I'll switch control of my team to the next longest drought in-game (ie. if the Indians win one, their playoff drought is erased and I'll move onto the Rangers). The goal is to get through every team (although that seems unlikely). My question is that I've never really played in full-on rebuild mode. I understand the basic strategy (unload expiring contracts or veterans to playoff push teams in exchange for the best prospects I can get), but what about rookies. How do I decide when to call up players? Should I be looking at when I think I can realistically contend, and just make sure that the best guys are going to be around at that time? How do I sustain losing for a few seasons with my budget decreasing? Etc, etc.

Man, I really need to buy Worms. Someone tell me which one I should get/the one that people play. I used to set up these stupid tournaments where I would plays Worms and keep the stats. My god, I wish I knew the amount of time I spent setting up and playing those.

Getting my PS4 tommorow ( ). Am I going to be able to transfer my Franchise from my PS3 to PS4, or am I going to have start all over? That would be a bummer. I started a Jays franchise, playing every game. Sitting 1.0 game behind the Rays and 2.5 out of the Wildcard. Just called up Stroman and traded for Samardzija after Hutch and Redmond/Happ/Jenkins had all been quite terrible. Had to give up Aaron Sanchez (who was the worst A potential player they'd take), but I'll take it to try and make a push heading into August.

Could someone mock up a quick logo for a fictional camp called Camp Peacock? It's a running joke between a couple of friends of mine and was wondering if anyone would be able to draw one up. Doesn't have to be anything fancy. Thanks!

Man, oh man. The Jays sure are fun to watch right now. This is the first time in my life that I'm living close to the city (working in downtown Toronto). I literally want to go to every game. Might head over tonight and watch them try to sweep the series and make it 9 in a row!

So on Friday, Beckett is scheduled to face Liriano. Drew Butera caught both of their no-hitters. Kind of neat.

Work didn't put me on payroll so now I don't get paid until the end of the month. Which means I can't get my PS4 until the end of the month.

What a finish to that Clippers game.

So I did this thing on Survivor Sucks a little while ago that I think I may run in the Cube. It's where I got the idea of the Random Rumble from. It's basically Survivor seasons, but the cast is randomized from the entire pool of players. Not sure how interactive it would be but I might have to call on you guys from time to time to talk about what moves players would actually make.

I am so excited to play this game on the PS4. It looks stunning.

Everything has been lovely so far. California Pete has been the highlight, although the whole Ted/Peggy dropped client thing was pretty good. It's unbelievable how much I enjoy every character on this show. A true testament to the character development created on this show.

I really thought I'd hate Quick Counts, but I've learned to enjoy them quite a bit. There is only one thing about them I don't like which is that pitch counts are almost always much higher than you'd like since you never get a first pitch or second pitch out.

I'm definitely in.

When I get paid (which I'm not entirely sure when that is since I just started a new job), I'd definitely go halfsies with someone.

Meacon, I feel your pain. This year, since I split MLB.tv with my brother, I have become absolutely obsessed. My friends all have a difficult time watching one entire baseball game. I've spent multiple days (when I should be studying) watching three games back to back.

Rasmus checks his swing on 0-2. They say he didn't go around but it kinda seemed like he did. Next pitch, home run. Jays tie the game in the top of the 9th. EDIT: All for naught anyway. Jays lose in the 12th.

Threw that on when I saw the bases were loaded. Pretty fun to see. That should bump up some of the interest in Davis, who the Mets seem like they still want to trade. Nice game by the Jays today. It's nice to see Melky playing well. Dickey had a great game, too.

What a great Tribal, even if I would have liked to have seen Cliff hang around.

Man, if Tony could just tone it down just a tad bit, he might actually be a good player. Instead, he wants to backstab everybody he talks to. It's crazy. I was sad to see Brice go. He was a more interesting character than everybody else on the Beauty tribe. I have the tiniest bit of hope that Alexis might actually be an alright player. She sort of said a couple of things that makes me thinks she's a fan of the game and realizes that coasting till the end won't get her the million dollars. I know they'd only lost two challenges, but it was sort of nice to see the Brains tribe win even if it just meant they didn't have to go to Tribal.

I don't think I even want to watch the Brains tribe compete in the next challenge. It could potentially be a massacre.

My thought process on Garrett during the episode went as such: he's on the brain's tribe looking like that he's probably going to be good... David is an idiot, Garrett is going to take control of that tribe... see, I told you, he's great... he's my favourite... oh no, Garrett, what are you doing!?.... okay Garrett, stop talking... oh fuck... bye Garrett.... I think Cliff is my favourite so far, but he's not going to last very long. Jeremiah and Sarah both seem quite likeable, too. Tony seems great because of comedic value. I can't wait until he gets caught in the spy shack. I liked Lindsey until she started bitching out Trisha (who I don't even like and the impression was spot on), but acting that way so early makes me think she's a bit bonkers.

If I wasn't a Jays fan I would absolutely love the Rays. Whoever called them the A's of the East are spot on. They're constantly contenders and I hate it. They also have such an awful stadium.
