  1. I've always said that if Will Smith had taken the role of Neo in the Matrix, the series wouldn't have been as successful. I believe (and it is only my opinion. However I've always said this, based on the fact that the majority of the Matrix core audience, I believe would have been turned off by someone the stature of Will Smith. The Matrix really became a cult film on the outset, and with an established star in place, I don't believe the movie would have ever gotten the following it recieved... ..I could be wrong. Maybe Will Smith would have brought in a different audience, and the movie would have been just as successful. Needless to say, I think he made a TERRIBLE choice, since the Matrix was a lot better of a movie then "I Robot".
  2. Predator is tops for me, though I'm a huge Predator mark, so that's really not a fair question. Outside of that, I love True Lies, due mostly to Tom Arnold's part, and duh, Terminator.
  3. He's hilarious... my favorite is of course Walter too, but Achmed is funny. But Walter is clearly my favorite.
  4. I'm not really all the interested in Witch Mountian to be honest, especially since the young girl who is going to star in this movie with him is basically a no body. I may be more interested in this movie if he wasn't the only star in the movie. On the other hand, I am really interested in the concept of "Shazam!". I hope this movie turns out to be reality. However I think it's time for the Rock to go back to doing what he does best, blow shit up, and beat the hell out of people. Where's the action films?
  5. I guess I am in the minority, when I say that I didn't like the movie that much. I found the first 20-30 minutes of the movie to be completely boring, and the movie struggled to keep my attention for a long period of time after that. Personally, I was more interiged by what exactly the monster was, then the people's safety. While I have seen worse movies this year by FAR, and I will give JJ Abrahms for at least attempting something out of the box, for me, it was like watching Blair Witch meets Godzilla, and a movie I wasn't all that interested in for the majority of the film.
  6. Eh, I'm not crazy about the title of the movie, but they have had worse. I'm more interested in details coming out about the movie, since I thought the first was (despite being VERY good) lacked a lot of action. The opening scene was awesome, and I thought really put over Daniel Craig as a legit action star in about ten minutes worth of filming, however after that, he really didn't do much to improve on that. I hope to see more of that style in the new flick
  7. I'm not usually someone who gives a flying fuck why celebs die, especially ones that I have no attachment too before the news of their death actually occured. That's not to say that do not feel sorry for the family, or that I didn't even like Ledger as an actor (which I did) but I just keep things in my own little perspective, and don't go overboard when celebs die. However I found myself wondering how his death would effect my viewing of "The Dark Knight". Because until the news of his death hit, I was looking forward to seeing the new Batman movie most, of all the summer movies coming out next year. After hearing about his death, I have found myself wondering how it would effect my viewing of the movie, and wondering how I will react to the akwardness of the moment, realizing that the Joker was his last (signifigant?) acting role.
  8. Is anyone watching the fight? I was semi amp'd up about this fight, and planned to go watch it at a friend's house, but his wife decieded to go into labor tonight...which totally screwed up those plans. If anyone is watching the fight, would they mind passing it along to the rest of us, how the fight is playing out?
  9. Will Smith & Vince Vaugh are two actors that come to mind that every time they do a movie, I have to see it. A lesser known actor who grabs my interest is Clive Owens, whom I really began to like after King Arthur. As far as actresses go... meh, I can't really think of one off the top of my head. Maybe Natalie Portman?
  10. I guess this all but assures that Cena won't be back for Mania. Oh well, though quick question. Cena did the Marine, right around the same time that his character changed to this silly "hero". So with that logic in mind, I wonder what are the odds of Cena coming back as Inspector Cena.
  11. I really liked 8 Simple Rules before Ritter died. Sure it wasn't groundbreaking or anything, but the show itself was funny. However with Ritter passing away, the show was really doomed since the show's concept was the over protective dad dealing with his two different daughter's who were "coming of age". Katie Segal while she may be a decent actress could not fill that role. David Spade obviously couldn't fill that role. I actually thought James Garner COULD have possibly filled that role as the grandfather, but for whatever reason they tried to shift the load onto Spade and Segal. Oh well, it was good while it lasted. It was much better the a lot of crap on TV now like According to Jim.
  12. First off... AMAZING job on this write up. I understand now why people are so excited about it. Very good job. However I have a question. In the game file, you have Chris Benoit signed as a written contract to Konnan's company. I was wondering what the connection was to there, other then Eddy Guerrero since from the write up, his history is mainly with CS. Same with Steele, aka Val Venis.

    Nickelback

I really liked Nickelback when they came out onto the scene, but slowly have lost interest in them every since. I can't ever remember hearing a song from them that I didn't like, however since "How You Remind Me", I can't remember of one that I thought was worth remembering. There are defiently(sp) worse bands out there.

    Britney Spears

I never quite understood why people bashed Spears' music so much. I mean, first off its pop music, but as far as pop music goes, her stuff was just as good as anything the Backstreet Boys or Nsync ever did. Though I agree with the statement that she will never be what she was. She has entered the same phase of her career that Madonna is in, and has been in for the past two or three decades. She's still "over" (to use a wrestling term), but will never be the top star in her industry again. The one that gets me is Christina. I always found her to be more attractive, more orginal, a much better vocalist, and her albums were always themed, instead of just dance beats. I never understood why Christina wasn't bigger then she was. On the other hand, Many Moore never did anything vocally that made me like her, though she developed into a tolerable actor. That's more then Jessica Simpson can say, whom I've yet to find anything she is good at besides wearing a binki. It's pretty sad to say that Nick Lachey was the "talented one" in their marriage.
  15. Sam L and Walken are the two easy ones. Bruce Willis is someone else who makes a LOT of clunkers. Someone else that comes to mind for me is Vin Diesel. I know he isn't a great actor like Walken, DeNiro, ect, but he makes for a great action star, yet for some reason over the last few years, he has tried everything he can to get away from that style of role, and usually if he isn't shooting and blowing people up, the movies aren't very good.
  16. I am on par with everyone about this movie. I really enjoyed the first hour of the movie, and after the dog died, and it appeared that the creatures were growing in intelligence, I turned to my date and said "this is about to get REALLY good". However it's like at that point they called up Michael Bay, and say "Ok Mr. Bay, start blowing shit up". From about the mid point onward (Sam's death), they never explained anything, they never developed anything other then adding two storyline characters (to which they NEVER gave any character development). They just blew shit up, and ruined what was a great movie to that point. Meh, shows you what the fuck I know. Luckily, my date was hot, so the movie wasn't a total waste. Judging by reading everyone's take on the book, I should go read the book. What is the name of the book?
  17. The Usual Suspects. That's the only one that came to my mind, though I'm sure there are plenty of others if I give it more thought.
  18. Someone has to explain to me how LSU jumps up 6 spots after winning their title game in "ugly" fashion, yet VaTech wins their title game impressively and doesn't move up a single spot.
  19. Bale & Vin in the same movie? If it happens, SWEET! Though they could have Hornsquabble as John Connor and I would probably end up watching, so I'm not going to say something stupid like "OMG, now I'm going to watch this movie for sure!"
  20. We went to go see this movie last night since “The Mist” was sold out. I have never really played the game, so I didn’t expect much. However, I was pleasantly surprised, and ended up liking the movie. I thought the producers did a good job of keeping a balance between storyline and action scenes, which is important in movies like this. Timothy Olyphant is AMAZING in the movie, and really carries the movie for the most part. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t think the movie was in the same league as 300 or anything like that, but I liked the movie far more then recent movies such as Beowulf, and hope that they a sequel or two, which I am sure they will.

    South Park

I thought tonight's show was a dud for the most part. The only parts I found funny were Butters trying kick the girl in the "balls", and Kenny's death...which as the poster above said was one of his funnier deaths ever. Was tonight's show the last one of the season? If so, I wish they would have put this one before Imingationland, and let that finish out the season.

    South Park

I actually like the second half of this season a lot more then the first. I thought the first half's shows were (as stated earlier) very hit or miss, with a lot of dull moments in the shows. However these last five shows have all been very good.
  23. lol @ reality TV having writers. Seriously, I know why... but the initial concept of "Reality TV" having writers is funny.
  24. The media LOVES the SEC and LSU has beaten like 5 ranked teams. I highly doubt they'll leapfrog LSU, but nothing is guaranteed. Especially with Ohio State having to play at Michigan and LSU is going to have a tough one in the SEC Championship Game. Again, all more reasons for a playoff.
  25. I get sick of hearing how "piracy" has killed the music industry. I'm not saying it hasn't affected the industry badly in some ways, but in others it has helped the industry. I, for one, listen to music a lot more now then I used it, and it is because I have the ablity to listen to different types of music and musicians I never had the ablity to listen to before, and I doubt I'm alone in this regard. The only thing it appears is that movie execs are now falling in line with music executs, and blaming "piracy" for their failed products.
