Also, is it not possible to just play vs. computer? From what I've read, it's exclusively multiplayer, and I'm really not into that scene.

Holy shit, it was Age of Empires II that I loved. I'm even more out of touch than I thought I was.

They are releasing a skirmish vs AI later on. Possibly next month? I don't really play against randoms online either, so looking forward to the skirmish mode.
