  1. I know for sure it didn't happen in Heroes & Villians because Parvati played both after the merge on Jerri and Sandra and they only brought one back.
  2. I think history say's no, but I may be wrong. I think after merge, as long as there is one in the game, they don't reenter one.
  3. One of the best episodes of all the recent seasons. I can't even believe how well Boston Rob is playing the game this time around...
  4. Three moments in this game made me realize that some of these people aren't made out for Survivor. Throwing a challenge. Seriously. This has NEVER worked out in Survivor. Ever. Point me to an incident where it was a positive gain in throwing a challenge. Andrea crying over Matt. Seriously. You knew the guy 7 days... get the fuck over it and fast. There are two other able bodies sitting around camp who can take the same place in that alliance. Jesus Christ. People don't realize this is a game for 1 million dollars. Stephanie at tribal council. Seriously! Instead of putting your neck out there for Russell, why not be quiet, play nice and regroup. Going off the handle puts a target on your back and makes you less trustworthy. Amateur hour. Great season of Survivor so far. I mean, I'm not the best judge since I've only really not liked one season (Fiji), but it's been great so far. I think Russell time on Survivor is coming to an end next week, but anything can happen.
  5. I expect my list will be a bit different... 1. Wizard of Oz 2. City Lights 3. Annie Hall 4. Pink Flamingos 5. Wall-E 6. The White Ribbon 7. All that Jazz 8. The Great Dictator 9. Elephant 10. Sixteen Candles
  6. Good (not great) first episode. Everyone is raving about how this season is better than last season, and I legitimately liked last season, so let's hope it lives up to the hype. I really get uncomfortable around social ineptness, so watching this first episode with Phillip was almost unbearable (in a good way). I was constantly laughing at how stupid he was...
  7. Ripping off Daft Punk (album #1) and Justice (album #2) and throwing terrible raps over it doesn't make you brilliant. Just makes you some dude with a computer and some records you like.
  8. I watched Office, 30 Rock, Parks and Rec this morning. I don't know why, but absolutely loving this season of the Office. I think they are really going all out with Michael Scott before he leaves the show. I swear, he is the only character on television who I can love one second and absolutely hate the next second.
  9. Hey, to each their own. I am a huge Haneke fan, I've enjoyed all of his work. Cache is my second favorite Haneke movie and probably pretty close to White Ribbon. Both just explore parts of human existence that make me delightfully uncomfortable. Out of all the movies you listed, the only one I haven't seen is Crash. Which I should, but it's just one of those decisions when deciding what to watch: do I want to watch a movie about car accident sex? I'll get around to it one day...
  10. The White Ribbon. Released in 2009. Great and very dark cinema. Slow moving, but so rewarding in the end. It won the Palme d'Or, but outside of a few critics liking it, not much of a following. Other movies - In the Loop and Bad Education are two other really good films that people should give a watch.
  11. Thank god. If this means less MSTRKRFT and whatever that ugly dude was doing than I am totally on board with that. Without question, MSTRKRFT was one of the worst groups of recent memory.
  12. Will be interesting to see how big this gets. I've listened to it about 10 times straight, I absolutely adore it.
  13. Bad David LaChapelle rip-off. With that said, Rihanna is the best American pop star around right now, so I'm not complaining.
  14. Dizzee Rascal 1. Fix Up Look Sharp 2. Can't Tek No More 3. I Luv U 4. Dream 5. Sirens LCD Soundsystem 1. Losing My Edge 2. Dance Yrself Clean 3. Get Innocuous 4. I Can Change 5. Too Much Love
  15. 1. Rabbit Hole 2. Blue Valentine 3. The Kids Are Alright 4. Exit Through the Gift Shop 5. Winter's Bone 6. The Social Network 7. Howl 8. Undertow 9. Easy A 10. Get Him To the Greek
  16. If that is the case, I'll keep watching, but it seriously undermines the credibility of the show and significantly alters what Survivor is about. I'm down with Redemption Island, it's an interesting twist that will alter how people play the game and vote people out. But giving immunity to two returning players so you prevent keep them around for half of the season? That's not Survivor.
  17. Something about bringing Boston Rob and Russell seems like a "jumping the shark" moment for Survivor. Bringing back past contestants always had an interesting twist - the original All-Stars, Bobby John and Stephanie in Guatemala because of them being the last standing, Fans vs. Favorites, Heroes vs. Villian's. This is taking two hugely overrated Survivor's, one of which has played 3 times and didn't make the jury TWICE and the other who played twice, made the jury twice and got a grand total of ONE vote. They aren't anywhere close to the best players AT ALL, they just have stand out personalities and talk a lot about how good they are. I mean, if you really wanted to bring back two male players who played strong and deserve to lead tribes, how about Earl, Aras, Yul or Todd. Four winners who absolutely did a great job controlling their season and won. Or even non-finalists like Terry, Rafe or Kenny. Those three, had they made it to the finals, probably would have won their respected seasons. And those are just male players. There are lots of players who should come back before Russell and Rob.
  18. Why bring back Russell? The guy can't win this show if his life depended on it. The guy has no concept of reality or how to play a game like this. Will be interesting to see how he is edited, because by the end of HvsV, they pretty much portrayed him as one of the worst players to ever play the game. He made so many fatal errors it was laughable.
  19. One of the best seasons of late. So many great storylines, so many great characters, and not all of them were gone before the merge. We still had NaOnka, Marty, Brenda, Sasha, Fabio, Chase, Jane, Holly around at the merge, and all of them were great, developed characters. Especially in hindsight of recent seasons that heavily focused on two or three characters, it was great to see so many well developed characters. I think it was fairly obvious the last episode who was going to win. It was the perfect ending to a season. A cocky alliance setting up their own downfall. They treated people miserably on their way out, they burnt so many bridges and they screwed up the most important vote of the season - voting Benry out instead of Fabio. When Fabio won back to back to back immunities, it was so obvious who was going to win.
  20. I watched the first 25 minutes of Scott Pilgrim and had to walk out. I know I'm trending into some fanboy territory with this one, but what a poor movie. It's never ending visual overload that's really obnoxious.

    BBC Sound of 2011

I heard you can acquire James Blake new album some places on the internet. It's a very fantastic album, and he'll probably blow up pretty big soon, so get it before your friends do so you can look cool.
  22. I watch random and sometimes really awful television. I cut the crap out and just included the respectable television. JAIL and COPS will have to wait another day to shine... I have to rep for Cesar Milan and the power of the pack though. 1. Modern Family 2. South Park 3. The Dog Whisperer 4. The Soup 5. The Office 6. Survivor 7. The Colbert Report 8. The Walking Dead 9. Project Runway 10. Futurama

    My Top 100: 2010

Everything has been top notch until The Drums. That is an awful, awful, awful record. I don't think I disliked anything more, bar maybe Best Coast and Girl Talk albums.

    2010 Year end lists

I listened to it again last night after posting and enjoyed it more at 2AM while on a red bull binge. The first time I listened to the record was at 2 in the afternoon on a sunny day and it didn't feel right. I am going to "legally acquire" the Gayngs album later on this afternoon when I go to Starbucks for my coffee. I've heard good things.
