  1. I don't really understand the thinking behind having Nations League performances at all levels influence the playoffs. Georgia got one point in the entire qualifying campaign, but because they got promoted from the Nations League C, their playoff route is easier than that of Wales, who finished third in their qualifying group and were in the Nations League A. It seems like a system that can be exploited rather easily.
  2. I tend to look at the spinoffs as non-canon anyway, so I'm not as bothered about the characters being a little off. As far as I'm concerned, the "real" Persona 5 story started and concluded in Persona 5 itself (because I never played Royal), with the side games being zany dream sequences.
  3. I'm enjoying Persona Tactica. As a spinoff, it obviously lacks the things I like best about Persona, particularly the social links and character development, but I'm always up for some tactical turn-based combat. It's certainly fun enough to tide me over until Persona 6.
  4. France drew against Greece, leaving Portugal as the only team with a perfect record in qualifying.
  5. To be clear, I'm not trying to make a big point about Bellingham's age. It's just that depending on one player isn't a good sign. As you say, though, the matches were dead rubbers and aren't going to be talked about for very long. England genuinely do have their best crop of players since the Eriksson days, with the added bonus that they seem to enjoy playing together more. I think that France have the best team on paper for the Euros, but England should be very disappointed if they don't put in a good showing.
  6. It's very noticeable that England miss Jude Bellingham. As good as he is, it's not a great sign when you have to depend on a 20-year-old.
  7. I think I just don't like fighting much in Civ. I enjoy building up my infrastructure and making something nice. It's a bit like my version of Minecraft, given my lack of creativity.
  8. Luxembourg finished on 17 points. They could still qualify through the playoffs.
  9. I clicked on the video and the first words he said were "Right, hands up! Admit it!"
  10. They've also added in some extra game content for its 25th anniversary. Aside from some bug fixes and slight visual upgrades, it now includes Half-Life Uplink, which was a mini-campaign originally included in magazine CDs. Four new multiplayer maps have been added as well.
  11. I've heard people say that they thought getting to the Shinra Building in FF7 was going to be the end of the game, which baffles me a little. What did they think the other two discs were for?
  12. Burnley would have stayed up in the 2021/2022 season, the period of Everton's rule breach, if the points had been deducted then.
  13. I've been playing Civilization since the first one and still have to go with the lower difficulty settings.
  14. It would, although Game Pass has been delivering more games than I can keep track of lately.
  15. I thought Bournemouth were supposed to be relegation fodder.
  16. Weren't Wolves supposed to be relegation fodder?

    GTA VI

They really need to stop trying to inject crude humour into absolutely everything. You'll see characters who more or less say, "Hello! I'm an angry feminist! I hate all men because I feel inadequate!" or "Hello! I'm a redneck who loves guns and underage women!" It's all such an overload. I understand that it's supposed to be satire, but it's completely base-level edgelord humour. Even Saints Row, styled as a comedy game through and through, punched down a lot less. What amused me is that, when the gameplay leaks appeared online, the outrage from the Republican base was based around the fact that one of the player characters was a Hispanic woman. Where people were once worried about children playing an urban murder simulator, they're now scared they'll be experiencing ethnic and gender diversity.

    GTA VI

GTA could really do with looking at the Yakuza/Like a Dragon games as examples of how to do side content well. GTA 5 had a load of clunky minigames I tried once and never again.

    GTA VI

If you combined the main character of GTA IV with the gameplay of GTA V, you would have something ideal.

    GTA VI

It's not something I'm itching to play. There are so many good games that are easily accessible these days that waiting for one specific product doesn't make much sense. I'd like to think, unrealistically, that the team has been able to work at a healthy pace as GTA Online continues to rake in obscene amounts of cash.

    GTA VI

The first trailer will be released in December. I would fully expect that to be a teaser, i.e. a few sweeping cinematic shots that mean sod all.
  22. Bioware is a glaring example of why the individual people within the entertainment industry should be more reputable than the studio names. Almost nobody who worked on Bioware's best games is still with the company, yet the brand name is put forward as a reason to buy their games. "From the makers of ..." is the kind of misleading statement that keeps getting used (successfully) as a marketing hook.
  23. That sounds like the sort of dynamic world development I've been hoping for. Newly minted clubs spending their money on ambitious targets, rather than just paying more for the same players they'd normally buy, is a very welcome change. I often like to play international management saves to see how the game world develops over time. I'll be interested to find out what happens.
  24. I agree with most of that, aside from factoring in that the 3DS doesn't play GBA games. If that's not important to you, then yes, the 3DS is probably the better bet.
