  1. Out of the three underdogs I was sure would win in the last show, I picked the wrong one. Oh well... Rashad Evans, for a new starter.
  2. Jason High for three in a row.
  3. What's with the thing behind the dumpster?
  4. I agree. MD makes little sense. As does... Movie 43 - *1/2 out of *****
  5. Other than "crap", I could only describe Warm Bodies as a romantic comedy.
  6. I have Movie 43 paused, waiting for this post to begin. Haha. To The Wonder - *** out of ***** I'd want to punch Terrence Malick if he made movies as often as Woody Allen.
  7. There's a problem with saying that the romantic comedy is dead. What you've been told is "romantic comedy" for decades has been done so frequently that it actually has become the definition to people. No studio or talent wants to go away from the definition because it means no one will either make or see their project. In the case of something like "The 40 Year-Old Virgin", which is a romantic comedy, the studio thinks it has to bring the men with the promise of hard comedy and surprise their date with the shock of a decent romance while she's laughing. They won't even think about selling it to women as a romantic comedy though. There are romances that have funny elements. There are comedies that have romantic elements. There are even action movies that have both comedy and romance. Until your neighbor and his wife stop going to see "ultra-conservative Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson meeting his wacky hippie parents" because they're told there's something for everyone in the trailer, you'll probably just have to broaden your own definition of romantic comedy.
  8. I think the current top two will stay the top two for the whole period of time, having looked at everyone's picks.
  9. Peeples - ** out of ***** Just stay away from this one.
  10. Well, I don't like either...so just rub her feet or something.
  11. There's a reason you haven't watched it yet. Think about it...
  12. Black Rock - **1/2 out of ***** Made me laugh in spots where I shouldn't be doing so. The actions are deeper than they appear to be on the surface. Being 80 minutes doesn't hurt anything either...
  13. Boot up your XBixxy and we'll fight about it.
  14. There is already a XBox One. Despite their stupidity, The Box, XBixxy and The Definitive Media Box are all better names and I thought of them in one minute.
  15. Both of those movies hold up extremely well, unlike some other Hitchcock films.
  16. I didn't mind that live clip, but the LP guy looked like he was impersonating Weiland's stage mannerisms too. Made me laugh.
  17. I actually hate every fourth episode of Girls. It's like they feel the need to catch up the audience on every character's exact feelings on everything all at once. It's happened in both seasons. And I forgot Curb. I love Curb, whenever they decide to do it.
  18. I fell asleep to it last night and had a fever dream to the title track. True story. It was like a season finale or something.
  19. Any time I tune into a show that's not Girls or Mad Men, it's to partially hate watch...
  20. Been listening to the new QOTSA for the last two days. It's alright. It's not a face-melter like Songs For The Deaf, but I haven't deleted it yet...that's gotta count for something.
  21. I can't be the only one to find this a letdown. ...and I wasn't even excited for the announcement.
  22. What the fuck? I know Weiland is touring on STP's music with another band. Made me think this band was dunzo. This development is just weird.
  23. Started on the new Resident Evil port after Raw. I've only needed an hour to figure out that I like it more than RE6.
  24. Yeah. It's an easy choice since it costs nothing...
  25. I know. You copycats...
