My flatmate is pissed off. Sunny Day Real Estate have postponed their European tour, presumably because of the volcano, and he was going to London tomorrow to see them. Well, he still is going to London, because he can't get a refund on his hotel tickets, poor guy has nothing to do though.

  3. I am really not getting this reaction. It was disrespectful, it got incredibly tedious in the last two rounds, he's a bit of a cock for doing it, blah blah blah ... this is a sport, he is a sportsman, his job requirement is to fight in a cage and obey the rules ("nearly" breaking them doesn't count) and if he wants to do it the way he did, fine, that is his prerogative. I didn't particularly like his fight either, but I'm dealing with it like: "Okay, that was shit. I probably won't watch another Anderson Silva fight." I also don't really take issue with Dana White either. His job requirement is to book fights that people want to see and draw money from them. If Anderson Silva isn't drawing money because no one likes the stuff he does, fine, either book him down the card or simply don't renew his contract when the time comes.

Andrew Jackson Jihad - We Didn't Come Here To Rock I couldn't say why. Probably the lyrics. Bloc Party - Helicopter as I made a music video for it in college at it was awesome. Bruce Springsteen - I'm not a huge fan, but I can't help but love Born To Run. Frank Turner - This one is hard. He is so good at writing catchy songs. At the moment, The Road is permanently engraved in my head, but Once We Were Anarchists has always been my favourite. Get Cape Wear Cape Fly - I hate this guy now, but I must admit, I loved I Spy at the time. Jimmy Eat World - The Middle maybe, but that is just plucking one from the air. The Knife - I only really know Weekends and Bleak Days. Lionel Richie - WHAT A FEELING! WHEN YOUR DANCING ON THE CEILING! Maximo Park - Gotta love Apply Some Pressure. Placebo - Every You Every Me, but I will also mention Infra-Red because no one liked that song, but I did Queen - Thanks to David Bowie, Under Pressure. Snow Patrol - Run. Always. Sugababes - In The Middle, because it is fun.
  6. Got it today and have just had my first listen-through. Really enjoyed it, but so far it is no Demon Days. A couple more listens are sure to up my enjoyment of the album, but I won't be disappointed if it never tops Demon Days, because that was a quality album.

I almost didn't go because I found out the week before that Two Door Cinema Club were playing in the Other Rooms. Glad I did in the end. It was in Domain, which was the big hall above Habita, and it was completely full. I thought Ragan was awesome, though it was the first time I've seen him live. He looked like he enjoyed himself too. Unfortunately I only caught the back-end of Crazy Arm because my flatmates where taking so long to get ready, but of the 3 songs I heard they were really good.

I went to the gig at Northumbria Uni and I don't think he mentioned that. Turner did announce they were bringing Revival to the UK though; and that'll be Turner, Ragan and Fallon. He could have said it in between my orgasms though.
  9. Tries to get involving without having anything new or interesting to say. EDIT: Corrects a mistake while disguising it with another comment.

As long as my character can age. I think it'd be cool if the first fight in your career mode was the final of The Ultimate Fighter. Then, after winning, Joe Rogan can come into the octagon and "interview" you where there would be a few pre-set answers that will determine your character's personality. It might overcomplicate the career mode but I think it'll be a cool feature nevertheless.

A - Alien Ant Farm - Smooth Criminal, due to awesomeness of it. Babyshambles - I always enjoyed Fuck Forever. Biffy Clyro - There are so many, but for one song I'd go with Mountains, because it never fails to get my blood rushing. Coldplay - I'll say The Scientist, but there are no songs I really really like persay. Daft Punk - One More Time, will always love that song. Feeder - Pushing The Senses, I don't know why. The Get Up Kids - No song jumps out at me, so I'll just say Red Letter Day for now. May change it later. Modest Mouse - Everyone is saying Float On, so I'll say Bury Me With It for a change. Muse - There are loads of songs I could choose, but it'll be Plug-in Baby. Weezer - Undone (The Sweater Song). No contest.

Went to see Hot Club De Paris last night, they were awesome. New EP out in March, I can't wait. Also saw B>E>A>K who are pretty good. A fun gimmicky band if there ever was one. They're playing the Split Festival Sunderland in October along with The Futureheads, Field Music and Frankie & The Heartstrings; probably going to end up buying tickets to that soon. Speaking of Field Music, they are playing a free gig at RPM Records in Newcastle on Saturday.

  15. Ah, Scar, credited for making me permanently scared of my uncle. Thanks. Glad John Doe is high-ish (though I'd prefer him to be top 10), I went dress as him on Halloween.

  17. I don't think being the protagonist should disqualify one from being classed as a villain. Alex DeLarge is a character who got great pleasure from being violent and manipulative. Certainly in the middle of the film you can say he becomes the hero of the piece after being "reformed", but this was more a desire to get out of prison and into the real world than to actually change. And of course, the ending of the film shows he did feel most comfortable as an evil character. That said, yeyyy Vidal, Alex and The Master.
  18. Sov looks permanently bored, which gives her something in common with the viewer. Of course, this is the first time I've watched since the launch. I still want Vinnie to win due to him being Vinnie Jones.
  19. Something I'm noticing is that a lot of female workers have really bad stamina stats, Talia Madison has 19% for example which is less than the Big Show, Mark Henry and the Great Khali. I'm guessing this is an error.

  22. I don't think two Take That songs deserve to be here, nor does two Amy Winehouse songs, but I guess this wasn't really about quality but about which songs were the most played, most catchy and most recognisable. I only saw the beginning but the Kaiser Chiefs, Franz Ferdinand and the guy from The Zutons who wrote Valerie didn't seem all that pleased, just trying not to say directly that they wrote them to be airplay-friendly. Anywho, it is an interesting topic to discuss, so lets do that! I might be losing my imagination, but I would probably say "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley was my favourite song of the decade, with maybe "Bullets" by Editors as my outside choice.
  23. Chef's Chocolate Salty Balls was amazing.
  24. I think we can all agree that both sides are infuriating. RATM fans seem to consider themselves "liberators" and "freedom fighters" in a general pompous delusion. Meanwhile X Factor/Joe fans are saying things like "he deserves it because he has worked hard", "RATM is just noise" and "they wouldn't have even gotten past Boot Camp", which makes them sound like idiots.
