Didn't even realize the playoffs started this weekend. Was able to watch Houston massacre Portland on the first game of their playoff series. Hopefully this is a sign the Rockets can finally get past the first round.

It's the first time I've seen a race stopped due to bad weather. Pretty entertaining, but a friend of mine went to Sepang to watch the race with her boyfriend. She must be right miffed having the race turn out like it did.

Bah, unlikely that Hamilton is going to score points here. On the other hand, I love how it looks like Brawn GP are going to be a new power in F1. Nice to shake things up for this year. EDIT: Holy fuck, Kubica crashed into Vettel while trying to overtake for 2nd place, and now both are out of the race! Damn, they could've scored podiums. But Reubens gets 2nd place as a result of their double elimination, while Hamilton gets 4th place.

I hadn't heard about this. Is this a joke? I don't see any reports about this on Google News. Yet.

They gave Santos some good lines, but I think Jimmy Smits was a bit nervous about that show being a live broadcast. Vinick came out better, but it wasn't a runaway debate victory.

I'm happy Hamilton wins the Driver's Championship. Two years in a row with the last race deciding the winner. Amazing. Massa certainly looks like he doesn't know whether to cry out of frustration or joy, but dammit, the guy wins his home GP. The ending could've been worse for him. Hopefully whatever controversy that comes out of this gets resolved quickly though.

A stupendous race. I have a buddy who went to Singapore just to attend the GP, but man, his Ferraris got snakebit. I was hoping Hamilton or Rosberg would have pulled out the win, but very good effort from both. Now it's onto Shanghai.

They probably just wanted to make sure the Bulgarians didn't surprise them with a sudden flurry of goals. I don't see the Bulgarians, as outplayed as they were, to just tell the officials to stop the game because they weren't gonna catch up to their opponents.

Batman the Animated Series remains my high watermark for US animation. I was really moved by Heart of Ice at the time. I'm not so enamored by later series like Batman Beyond, but I do appreciate the continuity they invested into it.

Agreed. I liked the first Mortal Kombat movie. Much better final product than Van Damme's Street Fighter. Heck, I daresay the first Mortal Kombat movie was a better film translation of a video game than even a lot of anime flicks of fighting games.

That actually sounds like a pretty good idea. Make the opening ceremony one big concert.
