Guys, Undertale is really good.

But there have been plenty of big, open-world games that have been released in the last 5 years without nearly the amount of problems that Fallout 4 has. I'm not just talking about the repeated crashes to desktop/quest NPCs falling through the world/save files corrupting. It's the little things that just haven't been sorted in the 7 years since the last game (and further back if you want to include Oblivion), the animations being SO stilted, objects and people just floating 2 feet of the ground, NPCs pushing you out of conversations. Don't get me wrong, it's got to the point where I find them hilarious and I'm still really enjoying the game, but there's nowhere near the amount of bugs in most other open world games. It just looks and feels dated in numerous ways.

Bethesda's game engine.

Finished the game last weekend...

This game is really good. What the fuck was I worrying about?

I'm really apprehensive about this, it seems to take one step too far away from the Metal Geary-ness I loved about the first 4 games. I think I'm going to love this as a gameplay experience, but as a story-driven experience (which is what I go to Metal Gear for) I really think it's going to be lacking for me..

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has passed away.
Robsturgh replied to GoGo Yubari's topic in Coin Op Arcade
It's easy for companies to claim that they care about their fans, and that the executives listen. But Iwata really did listen, and he really did care about Nintendo fans. He personalised his messages (whether Press Conferences or Nintendo Directs) in a way that made him, and in turn Nintendo, come across as a bunch of passionate people working on fun stuff. Man, he was really great for the industry and a really great guy. Will be sorely missed. -
They've added some new bosses. And a new difficulty which basically changes everything in the existing game. Eh, you know what? Here's a video - there's loads. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nXdtDgpPeE

Terraria has had a HUGE update released for it, essentially doubling its content. It is free. The game itself is also 25% off at the moment, you should probably get it if you haven't yet.

Honestly took a while to grab me; it was The Bloody Baron questline that did it and now I can't wait to play it every evening.

This continues to be the best/worst.

This is going to be huuuuuuge for RTS games. Not to mention Sim City-esque games.

Hint for future - if you want to show a playable demo, don't show a climbing sequence.

Well, that's fucking huge. There has to be a caveat, or limited games available for it? Ahh - not all titles.

Todd Howard is a fucking bossman of press conferences. He seemed so natural up there.

Watching it again, the colour saturation makes the world feel a little Bioshock Infinitey. Which is a bit strange.
-
Pretty happy that this seems to be set mainly in a dense urban environment, also HYPE.
-
This game is outstanding so far, it just feels far beyond anything that's come before it.
-
Installing this for when I get home. Awfully tempted to finish Witcher 2 before I start it, even though I know it isn't necessary. I haven't been this excited about a game since Fallout 3.

It's a very, very good game. But it is harsh in most senses of the word, quite a crushing atmosphere in that game.
